Eternal Strands makes great promises as a semi-open world game with countless possibilities to win every challenge, centered on the huge and diverse bosses that roam the map. In some moments that are no less than amazing, it fulfills these promises and becomes a simply tremendous experience - but most of its playing hours are focused on being a basic RPG only, which is a shame that it does not use its full potential more.- Vgames

Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood is ultimately a very cute game, even if there are some annoying dialogues along the way and unexciting rewards for exploration. It's not exactly a new standard compared to its predecessors in the series, but it still manages to provide an excellent and fun combat system that makes it a not-so-bad experience.- Vgames

Far Cry 5 is a mixed bag. On the one hand, you get a dark story about an extremist group taking over a town. On the other hand, you get a bear named Cheeseburger who smiles while mauling his enemies. The music is fantastic, the AI is terrible, and the co-op is a lot of fun, as long as you don't expect it to be the next Borderlands. There's a lot of fun to be had in Far Cry 5, but if Ubisoft only took the time to fix those minor problems, it could have been perfect.- Vgames

The equation is fairly simple: If you're a first time player, the Switch version will be just fine: It looks nice, it plays nice, and still packs a ton of fun. For seasoned players on other consoles and especially PC - that's a very hard sell with the drop in performance.- Vgames

Princess Peach: Showtime! is short, fun and full of charm. Is it one of the best games on the Switch? Not in the slightest, but it's a nice game for children, getting into gaming for the first time.- Vgames

Hob is a good game, even if a bit flawed. The platforming is not as good as the combat and the puzzles, and you can sometimes get lost in the world. But even with those problems the beautiful world and good soundtrack does make up for it’s shortcomings. Hob is a good game that PS4 owners with some time on their hand and an itch for a Zelda-like adventure should pick up.- Vgames

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is a mixed experience. The plot is weak but the solid gameplay and challenge tombs will make you want to come back and finish the last entry in the trilogy.- Vgames

Death Stranding is not a game for every type of player. Its special but repetitive and sometimes outright boring gameplay will make you either love it or stay away from it like fire (or BT). If you have weeks or even months of free time, Death Stranding is the game for you. Otherwise, it’s better to invest it on a real trip with less cargo and no babies.- Vgames

It's the same game from last year - for better or for worse. The fact that Konami is really upfront about it is great, but they do get only one shot next year to wow us with PES 2022. In the meantime, this is what we got - and it's good.- Vgames

Micro-transactions and a very flat career mode kind of spoil what is the best basketball game this year.- Vgames

Sand Land is for better and worse, will be Akira Toriyama's last addition to his legacy, the changes to the story with new character is very welcome, but the desert is big and will get repetitive fairly quickly, and unfortunately this will be another addition to the growing anime games that I might forget later.- Vgames

Titanfall 2 is a fun game. Even though it has a short campaign, I had a great time playing it. Multiplayer is fun thanks to the game’s amazing gameplay, but lack of balancing and awkward level design make it a forgettable experience. I can easily say that Titanfall 2 is a good game, but its lack of depth will ensure I won’t be visiting it again anytime soon.- Vgames

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a much better game than its predecessor. The game tackles most of the problems I had with the first game by bringing me a much vaster world than before. Even though the first few hours are quite boring, the game has a lot to offer series fans.- Vgames

While it may not be heavy on jump scares, Choo Choo Charles does offer an open world for players to explore. However, the game does have some rough edges, including lifeless NPCs and an empty open world as well as an excess of mechanics that don't always mix together. A co-op option would have been a welcome addition to the game, but despite these issues, Choo Choo Charles does have some standout features, including impressive graphics and unique gameplay that combines shooting elements with monsters and quests throughout the map.- Vgames

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is a fun fighting game for fans of the Kimetsu no Yaiba fanbase, unfortunately in a very lazy fashion, cross play doesn't seem to exist and certain parts of the story mode are very odd, like lack of certain animations at parts can take you out of the story.- Vgames

While not as good and engaging as the previous DLC, Pagan: Control still gives us some wonderful gunplay and cool roguelike elements, even if the story doesn't play well with that kind of gameplay.- Vgames

Dark Deity has it's faults, but ultimately it does what it sets to do: Be a wonderful alternative to Fire Emblem on the PC. The devs had their hearts in the right place with this one and it's a great starting point for people who want to tip their toes in the genre.- Vgames

We Were Here Too delivers a really successful escape-room experience. It contains some challenging riddles and wonderful environment. But it very short (1.5~ hours) and the lack of replicability is recognized. But hey, it's still cheaper and long-lasting than a real escape room.- Vgames

Judgment is too afraid to let go of its defining "Yakuza" features, pushing detective gameplay to the side to let the combat mechanics shine. Its story is gripping and very enjoyable, running alongside the extra side content which is full of heart and entertainment. Give Judgment a shot, whether you're a die-hard Yakuza fan, or a newbie to the franchise.- Vgames

Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite has the heart of a warrior but a tad ugly one. The game’s gameplay is still top notch, with a great combo system and an addition of nice new features such as the infinite stones and the return to 2v2 battles. But the weird character design, mediocre story and omission of key fighters such as Wolverine and Magneto really prevent it from reaching its full potential.- Vgames

While the game isn't reaching the same heights as the Sarentu Na'vi we're playing, it's still, somehow, one of the best experiences I've had in 2023. This is, without a doubt, the best showcase for the Snowdrop Engine.- Vgames

Assassin's Creed III Remastered version is just a nice try. It's a nice try to bring glory to a mediocre game, which hasn't been good enough upon its release and surely isn't good enough now. The UI changes definitely improve the gameplay, and the graphics are truly amazing - but still aren't close to other games from this era. If you haven't played it before, you might want to check it off your list since it does have a unique story. If you have, I recommend not wasting your time unless you're feeling really, really nostalgic and have nothing better to do.- Vgames

FIFA 23 is ultimately (no pun intended), a good FIFA game and the best football game on the market, but that about sums it up. There aren't any big innovations here, and in a yearly franchise, and also possibly the last in its line to bear the name FIFA, I expected more from EA.- Vgames

Is Atomfall a game worth trying? If you like games that don't hold your hand - absolutely, but if you have a hard time with shaky combat systems and lacking character development it's important to remember that Atomfall unfortunately fails to rise to the occasion here.- Vgames
