Bravely Default II is a fantastic JRPG. There are some small issues that prevent it from becoming an instant classic, but the feeling we got after watching the true credits will stay with us for a long time.

Even though most of its players won't try to get deeper into it, those who dare will find a very interesting fighting game, unique and addictive where we can only ask for real-time multiplayer modes.

New Super Lucky’s Tale improves many things from the original, but it also does some things worse. It’s a nice platformer, quite enjoyable on Nintendo’s hybrid console, so give it a try if you like the genre.

Invincible VS delivers a solid and visceral fighting experience that honors its source material with satisfyingly accessible combat. While the mechanics feel deep and the multiplayer is robust, the title suffers from a severe lack of single-player content. The disappointingly brief story mode and sparse offline features ultimately hold back its full potential.

It is far from perfect, but we prefer an imperfect game full of personality over a "perfect" generic one. If you like Telltale style, but in a bizarre, Japanese way, then go for it.

WWE fans will find here the best wrestling game 2K has ever published, with a more polished gameplay and nice additions like the Showcase mode. However, it doesn’t seem to try and fix some of the series long-running issues that fans have been complaining about.

This adventure revolves around survival and game dynamics inherited from souls-like games. It’s attractive and appealing, but also extremely challenging and, sometimes, frustrating.

The Taiwanese studio PINX Games blends Slay the Spire and Into the Breach in a deep, accessible, and highly enjoyable strategy and deck-building game that allows for numerous different strategies within its hexagonal arena, despite its unattractive artistic design, especially in the interface.

Finally Transformers have a game with great quality, and to achieve that they had to flee from the movie adaptations.

Maybe it lacks some innovation and graphics appeal, as if time had made expectations too great, but it is a very good first step for the series to continue.

This is the best entry in the series so far, although there are still many aspects to polish and improve. Still, a solid coop adventure.

BlazBlue is another great game by Arc System Works, more accessible but still incredibly deep and technical.

While its story mode and tournament offerings are somewhat lacking and the Super Mario license feels underutilized in track design, the game boasts robust content, excellent audiovisuals, and flawless performance, marking a significant and enjoyable step forward for the series.

Tacoma is a good adventure and a great narrative-focused game. We think it won't make the same impact as Gone Home did, but if you like this type of game, you shouldn't miss it.

Carrion is something different, and being able to play something that doesn’t feel like most games is genuinely exciting. If you’ve ever dreamt of being a human-eating monster, this is a great chance.

Singularity is a pleasant surprise. It could have been an average first person shooter game, but it has turned out to be a great game, with gameplay and visuals that deserve praise.

This is a great metroidvania that, without reinventing the wheel, manages to deliver a great adventure.

Tchia is fun, emotional, rewarding and special. A game that shines thanks to both gameplay and art, and accessible for all audiences.

It’s great to see a classic JRPG like this being remade in such a respectful manner. Even with some flaws, it’s a fantastic way to play this unforgettable classic in 2020.

P4: DAN is fun and addictive, even though it lacks some content. If you like the main series and you're ok with the genre chosen for this spin-off, we're sure you'll enjoy it.

Mirage is more of a tribute that a return to the classics, but the setting, the level design and the reasonable length are welcome changes to make Assassin’s Creed more enjoyable for the fans of the first games.

Although its gameplay is conservative, it achieves to be very entertaining, and above all it is a diffferent game. Its atmosphere and story are exotic and thrilling, and it is also one of the first attempts on telling a mature story in videogames.

These games are always fun, and we've seen an attempt to introduce some news ideas, but they are never fully executed. If you've played many other games in the series you feel like it's time to have some new additions.

REPLACED delivers a breathtaking cyberpunk spectacle with its stunning pixel-art direction and immersive world-building. However, inconsistent pacing and unresponsive combat occasionally hinder the experience. While it falls short of perfection due to these mechanical hiccups, its evocative atmosphere and compelling narrative make it a must-play for fans of cinematic platformers.

Cold War is a solid entry that still delivers hours and hours of fun, mostly in its multiplayer modes, as usual. However, we miss some bigger changes like previous entries offered.

This is a solid evolution from the previous entry, with a fun career mode and, what’s more important, plenty of virtues for racing fan games to enjoy.

EA is back in the golf competition with a solid title that fans of virtual golf will enjoy and, even though there is room for improvement, there’s also a solid foundation to build next entries upon.

Inmost is a mix of ideas that might feel strange, although that is what has made us fall in love with them. Add a great story and you’ll have one of the most unique games we’ve played this year.

R-Type Dimension is the best adaptation ever made to the next-gen of a classic shoot'em up. It is a comprehensive title, full of details for both old and new players, and very fun. Its difficulty is huge, but its game options are so customizable and accessible that will please both veterans and newcomers.

WWE is back with a fun game that serves as the promising foundation for all the good things that, we hope, will come with the future entries.

A great puzzle game, beautifully designed and with a very well measured difficulty. If you like the genre, don’t miss it.

This is a good installment in the series, well-optimized for Apple devices. In spite of a multiplayer mode than only works well with very good connections, this is a good game if you can get used to the controls.

This collection preserves the charm and freshness of the original rhythm-strategy games with upgraded resolution, quality-of-life improvements, and new difficulty settings, but it lacks new content or extras, which makes it feel like a missed opportunity for a fuller tribute.

Guitar Hero focuses on a loyal public, but limited to certain ranges. Band Hero broadens the public offering a repertory rich and varied enough to attract anyone.

As an Art Academy game, it has a very interesting didactic value, but the Pokémon addition makes it perfect for a different audience.

The new audiovisual section has suited it very well. It lacks the scoring system of the original and if you only want to reach the credits, it can be short.

PlatinumGames delivers a solid arcade hack & slash with really good ideas, and offers both accessible gameplay and a deeper experience if we stick to it.

Aion can become the ideal option for those tired of World of Warcraft, or those who want an actual alternative in this market.

Sudden Strike 5 delivers an authentic, demanding tactical experience that rewards meticulous planning and historical appreciation. The expansive campaign and unit variety are impressive, yet the rigid enemy AI and a frustrating lack of tutorials create unnecessary friction. This is a solid, punishing evolution of the series' formula despite persistent technical flaws.

Nightdive Studios revitalized the iconic System Shock, maintaining its classic charm with updated visuals and gameplay refinements. It faithfully blends old-school simplicity with modern lighting effects and detailed enemy models. Despite some menu navigation challenges on consoles, the game offers a solid 60 FPS experience. The latest updates enhance the final battle mechanics and introduce a playable female hacker, reinforcing its legacy as a foundational immersive sim.

Marvel's Deadpool VR delivers pure, irreverent fun, perfectly capturing the Merc with a Mouth's humor and chaotic spirit across varied, surprising VR scenarios. While melee combat feels clunky and passive narrative moments disrupt immersion, its satisfying gunplay, impressive comic-book visuals, and substantial length make it a highly recommendable, action-packed experience for fans.

If you like retro action games with some platforming in it, Luckslinger is a good option.

As an HD update, it's pretty good. The new resolution feels great, and even the interface has been updated, which is something worth appreciating. Also, the online addition is something unmissable these days, but there's a problem. A game called SoulCalibur III, better almost in every single aspect, should have been the title Namco Bandai remade. If you're OK with SoulCalibur II, though, please, go ahead.

Creature in the Well is one of the most original games we’ve played in a while. If you like the idea of mixing dungeons, hack and slash and pinball, then make sure you give it a try.

It is a great game no matter the price, but for about $15 it feels even better. A must-have for shooter and/or western lovers.

It brings back the classic experience of the series, and except for not being as big as it used to be, this Ratchet & Clank has more strengths than weaknesses. A game any fan of the series should, at least, try.
