It’s such a shame that Nintendo have little interest in developing a sixth DKC, but at the same time it’s incredible how Playtonic nailed the formula so well. Fun levels, on point difficulty, visuais and soundtrack very well executed and a slew of new ideas really makes The Impossible Lair feel like a sequel to a series that we like so much, and not just a cheap knock-off.

Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition is an awesome addition to the Switch library. The game that helped redefine the hack and slash genre is still really fun to play, and with some new and exclusive modes, Capcom shows that they are worried about improving the experience, instead of just porting it. The Switch edition opens up for way more stylish combos and, if you don't care for its 2005 graphics, you should give the game a chance (or a new chance), because this is DMC3's definitive edition.

A technical marvel on the Nintendo Switch 2, the game features excellent graphics, incredible lighting effects, and fast loading times. It also delivers amazing gameplay with no frame drops. Resident Evil Requiem, although somewhat short when compared to other games in the series, is extremely fun, challenging in the right measure (being even more accessible than other titles in the franchise) and full of secrets and easter eggs. The game is a very welcome sequel of the franchise that can act like a "remake" of the first titles. With your new microgames, it keeps the essence of "fast-fun pills", but with an excellent local multiplayer twist. The lack in use of the Switch functionalities, such as touch screen or gyro-controls is what remained to Get it Together be a definitive version of the series. Scrap the MegaMan-esque pistol and add a FLUDD-alike hose. Wagon's apparently subtle job change is actually the biggest improvement Mighty Switch Force! 2 does. It allows the game's core - the switch gameplay - to shine brighter, with enemies being more puzzle-centric than the previous more simplistic path obstacles. This sequel pretty much functions like the original, but it's the little enhancements, such as the great learning curve for each tile fitting into single levels, that makes the game not only feels more challenging, but better. If only the art styles used in some of the last levels got more time in the spotlight.

Assassin's Creed Shadows on the Nintendo Switch 2 is a technical marvel that showcases the potential of the new hardware. While visual trade-offs are evident – such as the removal of Ray Tracing and lower foliage density – the use of DLSS and VRR ensures a solid and engaging handheld experience. The dual-protagonist system (Naoe and Yasuke) brings much-needed variety to the gameplay. However, the docked mode still suffers from inconsistent frame-pacing and needs further patching. Overall, it is a must-play for fans of the genre who prioritize portability without sacrificing the core content of a massive current-gen RPG.

Lydie & Suelle is an excellent choice as a game for creation, with very funny quests will becoming truly challenging after a while. The game may not have the most interesting fighting system for an JRPG and the best-executed graphics on the console, but it makes up for its failures with a good story and the mechanics of alchemy and exploration.

However, the familiarity also means that those who weren’t charmed by the first outing won’t have that many reasons to give a chance to this new title.

Miitopia provides a lively and rewarding gaming experience. Despite being simple, its history has fun dialogues, which makes the game perfect for both children and adults alike. The amazing art direction represents the universe in which the game is inserted. The player is always an active participant in the creation of the characters and the gameplay has countless resources and possibilities worthy of a great RPG. Although it gets a little repetitive at the end, Miitopia is excellent and one of the most pleasant surprises of the year.
