Decline's Drop is a great action platformer that shows how an idea can emerge from a desire to want more of something. Decline's Drop is much more than something inspired by Super Smash Bros; it's a beautiful creation of art and sound, with combat that has its own hand-drawn style, all from the mind of its creator.

The DX version of Sigma Star Saga is an excellent shmup with RPG elements, imbued with a nice and mature story that grants a dark atmosphere like those seen in Metroid Fusion and MGS Ghost Babel. Despite that, more in-game extras and a better rebalance of the experience system, since the random encounters were reduced, would make a huge difference.

With well-implemented mechanics and a gradual difficulty curve that blends combat and platforming in a challenging yet fair way, along with enjoyable exploration and a story that does, in fact, fit the series, Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is not without major flaws: besides being short, it features repetitive enemies and environments, and it does not allow players to skip dialogue when revisiting stages for further exploration. That said, it is a competent 2D game for fans of the genre and a solid addition to the beloved series.

Rushing Beat X: Return of Brawl Brothers is a great game, almost on the level of Streets of Rage 4, as a beat ’em up that stood out from others in the genre thanks to its beautiful aesthetics and deep mechanics. Virtua Fighter 5 arrived strong on Nintendo Switch 2. Accessible for newcomers thanks to its simple three-button layout and still competitive for pro players thanks to its intelligent mechanics and unique characters, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is an amazing debut for the series on a Nintendo platform. With 19 years on the market, though, it missed the opportunity to offer more single-player content and more refined facial expressions and lip-sync animation, as on all other platforms. Resident Evil Requiem, although somewhat short when compared to other games in the series, is extremely fun, challenging in the right measure (being even more accessible than other titles in the franchise) and full of secrets and easter eggs. Trails Beyond the Horizon can be described as a new start inside the current Calvard arc and, at the same time, a synthesis of the series up to this moment. The story is certainly something fans will love it, as well as the interactions between the teams. The combat system showcases new systems and it’s very dynamic. Assassin's Creed Shadows on the Nintendo Switch 2 is a technical marvel that showcases the potential of the new hardware. While visual trade-offs are evident – such as the removal of Ray Tracing and lower foliage density – the use of DLSS and VRR ensures a solid and engaging handheld experience. The dual-protagonist system (Naoe and Yasuke) brings much-needed variety to the gameplay. However, the docked mode still suffers from inconsistent frame-pacing and needs further patching. Revisiting Yakuza Kiwami and being able to play anywhere is really fun. The graphics are amazing, the price is accessible and Kiwami extras guarantee tons of beating up fun in this high atmospheric game, even with occasional slowdowns here and there. A must buy for Switch owners.

Caravan SandWitch is an enjoyable, unhurried journey, which is a bit at odds with the main plot. Exploration and puzzle solving are great for relaxing. Unfortunately, the optimization in the console version leaves something to be desired and may frustrate some players. I'm looking forward to seeing this team's next work.

This port is an amazing comeback of one of the greatest counterparts for The King of Fighters in the Neo Geo era. It has many interesting extras, achievements to enrich the single-player experience and, although it could have some balance against bosses and less long loading screens to access modes, this is a great port to have on Switch if you are a fighting game enthusiast.

Stray is a faithful and well-made port, with beautiful graphics and few (almost imperceptive) texture issues. If you didn’t play the game with the most beloved cat in the world of gaming, the Switch can be an excellent place to start, especially because you can play it anywhere.

Loddlenaut was a pleasant surprise. Although brief, the experience in GUP-14 is extremely sensorially pleasant, and deals with an extremely serious and present theme, which is environmental preservation, in a light and calm way, with many cute little alien monsters to be found and cataloged.

Vengeance is the definitive version of SMT V, however, it will not change the opinion of those that bounced off from the original. Those who loved it will find a considerable amount of new content to justify the new purchase. Those that had a mid experience with the original might want to give this a chance when the opportunity comes.

Between customizing your squads from behavior to strategies and the real time aspect of the battle with skills and terrain, Unicorn Overlord is an incredible strategy title that makes it viable and an incredible freedom for the player to choose how to create and command their own army. UO will be remembered as one of the best in the genre and of Vanillaware, no doubt.

All Things Wicked, the new chapter from Dead by Daylight, has become my new favorite original chapter. Along with a formidable survivor with an original mechanic and rich lore, it also brings a terrifying killer with a variety of playstyles and an exquisitely made new map. Though there are a few disappointing perks, this is overall the greatest original chapter that Behaviour has created, and I sincerely hope there will be more chapters that tie in with previous ones.

For those that don’t share the nostalgia, the collection has four racing games that are very good, but also need a lot of practice and patience to be enjoyed.
