Regardless, playing until you hit that "Now what?" point is pretty fun, particularly without the feeling of required IAP, which still makes Disco Zoo pretty easy to recommend checking out.

The challenging, speed-focused gameplay more than earns this one a spot on the device of any word game fan, without a doubt.

I don't think this is a must-play or anything, but if you're into the surfing theme or really love endless runners, this is a pretty sound one, if not all that exciting.

Sadly Another Case Solved latches a little too hard on the freemium model, which in turn holds it back from being the marvellous game it has aspired to be.

Draw Slasher is the ninja game for the ninja not keen on being stealthy

Escape from Doom has enough depth to keep you raiding tombs for hours, even though you might not want to log those hours all at once.

In this outing, however, Detective Grimoire is going to have to settle for being an enjoyable, though altogether too simple, ride.

Though I truly enjoyed the brainteasers and the puzzles are well-designed, Ferris Mueller’s Day Off is a bit of a tough one to wholly recommend.

If the game sounds interesting to you, by all means, it's worth checking out, especially at such a reasonable price with no particularly nasty IAP. Just be aware that the game gets quite frustrating in the long run, and not in a very fun way.

The only main downside to the game is that it only runs on iPad, so iPhone users may feel a bit overlooked at this point. However, for what its worth, it runs beautifully on the iPad, so clearly the work that has been put in to optimize it impeccably has paid off remarkably well.

Journey To Kreisia is a solid RPG, but not much more than that mechanically speaking

The game has its moments, but more often than not you're fighting the level design, which is a problem. Despite the issues though, Trambo is a nice break from the immediacy and the need for instant gratification of many games in the current era -- just be ready for the urge to throw your device across the room a few times.

Rocket Robo is worth picking up for its presentation alone. The design is stellar, to the point where I could easily see figures of Robo selling at a local store. But it's more than just a pretty picture, as it's complimented by tight controls and engaging gameplay.

With full controller support, Foxtrot would be an instant recommendation for platformer fans. It's simple to pick up, the level designs are interesting, and the visuals have a ton of charm despite their retro veneer. If you can deal with some added difficulty as a result of touch controls though, add this to your collection.

It starts off fairly slow but escalates quickly into a tactical nightmare, which is either a good or a bad thing depending on your view of puzzlers.

It's not quite the experience the first game was, but it comes awfully close, and that's enough to put it in the top tier of shoot-em-ups on the App Store.

All in all, this is a really cool action game with depth well beyond what you would expect just by looking at it. The combat is engaging, the bosses are implemented well, and the variety of abilities gives the game tremendous replay value.

What begins as a plummet from the heavens and through Earth’s core transforms into a much more bizarre tour. Skydrift is quiet, its only sounds ambient, like the whooshing suck of wind or the brief cry of seagulls.

Its easy-to-learn-but-difficult-to-master gameplay, beautiful graphics, challenging environments, and rich selection of ambient sounds have gelled together into one of the most enjoyable and pure gaming experiences I've had on a mobile device, one that all gamers will enjoy.

Monster Loves You could have been a virtual pet, concerned with the day-in and day-out care of monstrous life. Instead it’s concerned with higher matters—virtue, morality and the choices that define us.

It's certainly a novel game, and if you can get into a score competition with your friends, you'll probably get a lot of mileage (centimeterage?) out of On The Line
