Make no mistake, Technika Q is an excellent rhythm game and is a welcomed addition to the App Store. Unfortunately I think a lot of the extra layers on top of the core game do far more to detract from the experience than add to it.

While the game is a bit rough around the edges (right now it's not running properly on a handful of devices including the original iPad Mini) and certainly takes some time to get used to, David is definitely a game that's worth your attention.

World Cruise Story might not be the best simulation game from Kairosoft, but it is highly enjoyable once it gets going.

Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff may appeal to fans of the show; it’s hard to say with certainty that if you like the show, you’ll like the game.

Ultimately, however, as a puzzle game fan, I find SideSwype scratches a very similar itch to Threes!, but doesn't do it quite so satisfactorily.

Unfortunately, while it doesn't drop the ball in any meaningful way, Skyline Skaters is about as generic as they come.

Monkey Flight 2 is a very repetitive game, and you'll pretty well have seen everything the game is ever going to throw at you by the third or fourth level.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile is a fun diversion if you’re willing to spend money, or if you have no issue waiting hours for a timer to expire.

Don't purchase R.B.I. Baseball 14 expecting a deep simulation, stat tracking or micromanagement. Do expect a terrific arcade style game that is simply fun and can be picked up and played whenever, that stays true to its source.

Chalk this one up as a great gimmick with decent execution where the fun ends up almost totally spoiled due to monetizing virtually every aspect of the game.

As a cohesive adventure, Prime World: Defenders is probably the most well-rounded tower defense game I’ve seen in awhile.

Assuming you aren’t too obsessed with the end-game or social aspects (and you don’t have an irrational hatred for freemium games) Boom Beach continues the showing seen in Clash of Clans. Whether it has enough staying power as its spiritual predecessor will depend greatly on the inevitable tweaks to the core gameplay. Meanwhile, it’s worth a shot.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a product that gives you a quite shallow city brawler game where more focus has gone into presentation, and freemium mechanics than providing a great time for the player.

The graphics are great, the controls are nice, and there's a lot of content. The problem is that with the way things are set up right now, Flashout 2 feels like a free-to-play game, and not a particularly fair one at that.

Quest of Dungeons is a very good roguelike and a fun game.

Eets Munchies is a satisfying and complete puzzle game, and given the included level editor you could spend a ton of time playing around in its world. I kind of wish some of the puzzles were a bit more inventive and a tad less remedial, but the latter arenas will have you satisfyingly scratching your head.

To fans of experience-focused games, and you know who you are, you should assuredly pick up Monument Valley right this minute. It's a feast for your senses, is mysterious and vague enough to keep you thinking, and has a great, snappy pace to it without ever feeling rushed.

If you've got an iPad and have found yourself even remotely interested in games like Out There or Star Command, you need FTL. Additionally, if you've played the PC version it's still beyond worth picking up the iPad version as it has translated to the touchscreen even better than my most optimistic expectations.

Tiny Space Adventure is really enjoyable, visually striking, and provides players with just what they desire - a good solid platform puzzler with no unnecessary clutter.

So, I'm simply going to add the proviso that if you absolutely never want to see a block puzzle again in your life, you probably won't be too thrilled here. The rest of you should check this game out.

With hundreds of fantastic puzzles, some classically tasteful visuals and a fantastic soundtrack to boot, you can’t go wrong with iCOOLgeeks’ Mount Olympus. If ever there was a time to learn about the mythology surrounding the ancient Greek gods, that time is now.

Dudeski is a fun arcade game, but it has some issues with identity. Is it an endless skier, or is it a level based game? That question doesn’t really matter much for the first couple of hours though, and once you start to ponder it you have already gotten your money´s worth of arcade skiing.

It's an impressive hour and a half, particularly for your eyes, but I'm not sure if that's going to be enough for most.
