It's all very well-made, and it's still a fun, solid experience with a lot of charm.

Overall, Marcus Level is a great casual game if you’re looking for something to kick back to, but it’s definitely only a game for those who have oodles of patience and a lot of spare time on their hands.

This game is not going to be for everyone, but strategy fans who are patient with its faults will find quite a bit to love here, and knowing this developer, we can expect it to improve greatly with time.

If you enjoy this style of social RPG, there's certainly no harm in giving it a try and seeing if you take to it more than I did, but for me, the whole thing just feels incredibly redundant.

Don't be confused by the Cartoon Network's publishing of the game: while this is a game that can be played by kids, adults and any kind of 'gamer' will find that it puts up a good fight.

So while I'm not a fan of this particular mixture, perhaps there's a way to make a town-building game that incorporates creative sandbox elements. But Supernauts just doesn't have the right formula.

It is nevertheless a pleasant little romp, well-suited for a lazy afternoon. Its relatively low difficulty makes it a good fit for people who are new to the genre, and the art style's broad appeal helps in that capacity. Veterans will likely want to give this a pass and devote their attention elsewhere, however.

It may not be the most memorable game on the market, but it certainly holds its own as an intriguing endless runner with a unique blend of all guns blazing platforming mayhem.

Depending on how the changes and hopeful improvements pan out, this could be a game worth revisiting down the road, though it's certainly an interesting pickup for roguelike fans as it is.

It's a well-made entry into the genre, and one of the very few that does a straight take on the concept instead of merely invoking the name because there's a hub and a few secrets.

The biggest strength of the game is also its biggest weakness. The game is ultimately a deeper plunge into a very familiar experience.

Darkin is a very well-made attempt at capturing the spirit of a somewhat-neglected App Store great, and it hits considerably more than it misses. I think it falls a little short of the mark of replacing Dungeon Raid completely, but that still leaves it in a pretty great place.

Polygon Evolution is a fairly deep puzzle game that requires careful strategy to fully enjoy. I also strongly feel that its best qualities shine strongest when you have a well-matched opponent, and the computer AI isn't going to fit the bill for a lot of players.

Twisty Planets probably won’t be converting any non-fans to the genre, but for those that appreciate this brand of puzzle-platformer, it’s well worth playing. I’m a fan of the gravity mechanics, and there’re plenty of levels and enough of a difficulty curve to keep players busy for awhile. Veteran and newbie fans of the gameplay should simply check it out.

In my view there will always be room for awesome takes on traditional TD games but I hope developers take note because OTTTD proves that the genre can be improved in an awesome way while still staying true to its roots.

Angry Birds Epic is for the most part enjoyable, but it’s let down considerably by its endless IAPs and continual nagging. That said, it’s a great introduction to the RPG mechanics for those who want to dip their toes in a little and try something new.

    LEX
While I feel like LEX is the self-flagellation of word games, it can be a surprisingly pleasurable kind of pain.

While the pay model inherently holds the game back from everything it could be, it's still worth a go because of the match mechanics alone.

Its visuals are easily top-tier, the story is intriguing and the combat system, while a bit monotonous, is still engaging (particularly with a controller). Most importantly, it’s fun, and I think it’s worth playing simply for the visuals and story. Regardless, assuming you can handle the combat and violence, I highly recommend picking up.

Now, while the game is gorgeous and ends on a high note, Broken Age Part 1 on its own is hard to recommend. I'm not disregarding the entire game – with Part 2, it could wind up being something great. But just Part 1? I'd wait for the whole thing to release.
