Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is a pleasant surprise that Bayonetta fans will enjoy. Its game mechanics are entertaining and fresh, and the witch of Umbra origin story is charming and emotional. Cereza's voice acting is outstanding. PlatinumGames went above and beyond in creating a new experience in a universe that we thought had ended but now has many narrative doors to explore.

Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo immerses us in a fascinating story that plays with the limits of atrocity, in which urban legends play a deadly role, and mysteries lurk in every corner waiting to be found - if you don't die in the attempt of solving the mystery.

Scars Above is a third-person shooter that should have a mysterious narrative filled with cosmic horror involving intense issues. However, even though it develops the essential aspects that are expected from a game like this, it still needs a lot to qualify as a good video game of the genre.

The most famous of the Tales of installments is back in the form of Tales of Symphonia Remastered, a remaster that seeks to commemorate 20 years since its release but fails to do it justice.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe is entertaining at its core. The game mechanics still feel fresh. It should have had a much more notable graphical improvement and valuable additional content because it looks like a repackaging of the same game that came out more than ten years ago. Despite the mistakes, it is a game worth it because it shows the best of Kirby.

Hi-Fi Rush is a clear example that a video game should always aim to be fun and empathetic to a player's need, which is wanting to play something straightforward without silly barriers and unuseful explanations. The musical elements, the animation, the character design, everything delivers an attractive product worth enjoying. We need more titles like these that are published by surprise.

The joint work between Retro Studios plus the experience of Iron Galaxy gave us Metroid Prime Remastered, one of the most outstanding games that the Nintendo Switch can have. Both studios gave new life to a perfect classic that today you can enjoy once again and with modern controls, a much-appreciated detail. This masterpiece came back from the ashes like a phoenix to remind us of the greatness of Metroid.

Suppose you were very patient and hoped that Monster Hunter Rise would come out on PS5. Guess what, congratulations. In that case, you will have a very worthy version of an entertaining video game that, until now, could only be enjoyed on two different power platforms. The battles against the enormous monsters, the duels to defend your village, and even the music make the gaming experience worthwhile.

OddBallers is a hilarious and highly wacky reinterpretation of the dodgeball game, with all the charisma it takes to be entertaining. However, it has many flaws that sometimes make it repetitive and boring.

Octopath Traveler II is what a JRPG should be. It does have eight compelling stories, solid and fun combat, and quite relaxing music. It should be in the collection of any JRPG fan.

One Piece Odyssey is a passion-filled installment of the story of Monkey D. Luffy. Even though these games are usually a recap or summary of events, this one goes beyond. It rescues the original tale but adapts it to a new video game, taking advantage of more recent platforms. Odyssey is entertaining, fresh, and charismatic.

Wild Hearts does not invent the black thread at the time in hunting games, but it does offer some attractive game mechanics thanks to the Karakuri system, which dramatically changes the way you face giant monsters. Omega Force proves again that it is a versatile game studio with many talents and the ability to do different games. The result is a very entertaining title that will depend on its community to keep going.

Hogwarts Legacy fully lives up to its promise to take you on the role of a new student at Hogwarts and introduce you to the famous Wizarding World immortalized in the Harry Potter movies. However, the experience continues beyond there. The narrative values of the story are high. The progression does have significant development. The characters always have something to tell you about the adventure. Avalanche Software developed an experience that fans will love and those outside of the Magical World will want to know.

Dead Space is a remake that manages to surpass the original entry. Its story feels complex, and the gameplay mechanics are more robust than in the first game. It should serve as an example for any upcoming remake that wants to pay homage to the original work while making changes to enhance its impact with audiences old and new.

You can spend hours completing spell challenges, exploring dungeons, fighting enemies, and activating altars to upgrade your powers. But that fun is often held back by the story. Forspoken's pacing could be better. The game takes you away from what you want to do. We often wanted to explore to our heart's content, but the game forced us to spend minutes that felt like forever in uninteresting storytelling.

High on Life offers an irreverent, messy story with lots of dialogue and profanity everywhere. It is a tribute to games like Halo or Doom, but without being pretentious. It's what you expect from a title involving Justin Roiland. Beyond that, we have a simple shooter with solid game mechanics worth praisable. It is what Xbox needed a long time ago.

Valkyrie Profile Lenneth is a true classic from the PlayStation era. However, the PSP version was the brightest, especially with all the improvements it received. Thanks to PS5 and PS4 emulation support, it can be played one more time by a whole new generation, with strengths and weaknesses, hits and misses. Its price could be more friendly. However, its quality and replayability make it an option that any Japanese RPG fan should experience.

An optimized and more complete version of the acclaimed dinosaur survival game, ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition takes us to a series of fantastic but deadly worlds, from prehistoric jungles to interstellar gardens. Square Enix revives one of the most beloved PSP games in a formidable way. The appearance of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion could not be better, especially on the current consoles. GunGrave G.O.R.E. feels like an actual fresh game. You can relive an arcade in 3D shooter mode, with impact and precision weapons, which, as if that were not enough, have infinite ammunition.
