The Banner Saga: Factions’ slower pace and current lack of class variety will be enough to discourage many from trying this particular brand of turn-based strategy. But those who can look past these flaws will find a somewhat deep combat system that necessitates tactical awareness and forethought, and a rewarding experience for those who invest the time needed to learn its intricacies.- Thunderbolt

Full Auto 2 is an incredibly shallow, mildly entertaining experience.- Thunderbolt

What clearly makes this package stand out is the presentation: easily negotiable menus via touch-screen, a multitude of options to tinker with, perfectly emulated conversions of Namco’s retro classics, support for DS Download and Play, and everything moving along at lightning speed with nary a hint of loading time.- Thunderbolt

It’s got a wonderfully dark an original story, which is complemented with dynamic (if not slightly cliched) characters. The gameplay is straightforward and to the point; fans of action games will have their hands full with small armies of ghouls and 48 bosses to defeat. On the other hand, the combat is incredibly shallow and the game has little difficulty to speak of.- Thunderbolt

Nintendo succeeded in their mission, which was to bring a word puzzle game to the DS that everyone can enjoy. I can definitely see this game as a useful mechanism for individuals who wish to improve their vocabulary or word understanding. However, that improvement can go so far.- Thunderbolt

As far as pitching and hitting are concerned, MLB 2K8 is great. But presentation counts, and when a weak presentation is coupled with fielding issues, it's a lot harder to enjoy this game.- Thunderbolt

Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars is one of those “what if” games. What if the controls weren’t a mess? What if the multiplayer mode wasn’t riddled with bugs?- Thunderbolt

Great visuals and exciting gameplay warrant an eye out for a reduced price, but annoying AI and linear levels keep this title from the borderline of must-have-ness. A difficult one to rate, this; not superb, not average. Just in-between. And a credit to movie tie-ins.- Thunderbolt

City Life is a game that took social generalisations and completely sensationalised them to the point of an unrealistic nature and made them unworkable with the concept of the game.- Thunderbolt

I do know that every time I sit down to play this game, after sitting through the too-long-for-what-you-get loading screens, I just want to turn it off, and that’s not a feeling that I want to have when playing a game.- Thunderbolt

It’s a brilliant piece of interface design, the defining moment for which will come when the player realises that they’re giving a massage to the device they read their e-mails on.- Thunderbolt

And while the story is fun enough, the plot isn’t the centerpiece. This expansion to the Saints Row universe is here to give a new sandbox to blow things up in. It is a sandbox to play around, without either worrying or carrying about the direction of any overall plot.- Thunderbolt

Quite frankly Zombie Apocalypse isn’t stellar in any of those categories but what it does allow you to do is a get a great deal of entertainment out of some mindless, arcade-style shooting. The amount of amusement that it offers is certainly worth the price of admission.- Thunderbolt

This is an excellent case of style dripping over substance and if you can forgive its dire lack of the latter, you're sure to enjoy what laughs you'll get out of it.- Thunderbolt

And that symbolises the entire experience, really. It seems strange that to get my RPG fix in 2009, four years after this generation hit the scene, I have to dust off my PS2 to give me the type of experience that so many of us have been longing for in current-gen glory.- Thunderbolt

To only play the game on your own would be dull, and at best somewhat tiresome. Playing with another person comes recommended; it's much more fun.- Thunderbolt

There’s a good game here and it’s certainly the contemporary title 2K was looking for, but it’s Firaxis’ “outdated” effort that comes out on top if you want a modern taste of XCOM.- Thunderbolt

The difficulty level is almost non-existent, AI is laughable, and there’s little creativity involved with the development of Layle’s powers or the places he explores. Not to mention the headache-inducing backtracking you’ll have to endure. It’s sad, considering how gorgeous some of parts of this game are.- Thunderbolt
