MLB The Show 19 is a fantastic game. Many different game modes, great atmosphere and excellent gameplay. Few sports games have achieved such realism and overall quality.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a sequel that builds on the legacy of Relic Entertainment. It does so by offering an exciting campaign that perfectly conveys that feeling of perpetual war and all the “grimdark” typical of its setting. Even without ever reaching the depth typical of other games in the same genre, the combat system infuses all the physicality and brutality of the Astartes. The optimization is also good, despite some small flaws that can be easily solved with a round of patches. The only let down is the soundtrack, light years away from the epicness of the first game.

Yoshi's Crafted World is a window into the mind of a child. Colourful and cheerful, the newest video game by Good-Feel is able to put the player in a good mood.

Radiant Silvergun is personally the best shooter written by Treasure, but it's not for everyone. The measured cadence of the action and the difficulty of handling the seven weapons make it difficult to approach for those who prefer the deflagrating action of more dynamic alternatives like danmaku, but the effort of mastering such unique mechanics is repaid by an extraordinary game.

Cyberpunk 2077 has come to the end of its journey, setting aside the best for the grand finale. Phantom Liberty is arguably the best expansion created by CD Projekt RED, and it concludes with a bang the journey of a much-discussed game, nevertheless deserving now more than ever to be played. There is no better time to return to Night City or - even better - to step into the shoes of V for the first time.

Eight years after its first appearance on PS3 and Xbox 360, the wild and exuberant Bayonetta lands on Nintendo Switch, and it hasn't lost a bit of its sexy charm. This new release can be appreciated wherever you want, with a solid and granitic 60 fps, and a better visual experience on the go.

Adrenaline-inducing, crazy, exaggerated and well-constructed, Sevant - Ascent Remix is a first for anyone who adores video games of this caliber and spontaneously chooses to go wild and completely mad. Absolutely must have.

The remastered version of Bayonetta 2 is a moral imperative for every owner of the Nintendo Switch who didn't play the most stylish and crazy action series of all time. There are some issues with the framerate here and there (especially in the exploration sequences), and the screen of the console has a better image quality than the TV. Nonetheless, a must-have for every action fan out there.

Easy to learn, hard to master, beautiful to watch and imbued with a performant netcode: REV 2 is probably the best 2D fighting game so far.

The new course of the Tomb Raider saga seems to have definitively matured with this chapter: someone could find it superior to Uncharted 4, and it would not be blasphemous.

Bravely Second is a top-notch J-RPG. The original formula hasn't changed a bit, and that's a good thing, but it's been expanded with tons of class, skills and tactics to accommodate the need of every strategy fan. Some balancing issues won't affect an overall great experience.

The new Street Fighter is an excellent fighting game, beautiful to watch and play, with an incredibly deep gameplay and plenty of new moves to learn and master. The lack of a real single player experience may be a problem for someone, but the game is bound to expand in the next few months. For now, it's simply the best multiplayer fighting game around.

Pure in its design and maniacally focused on details in its execution, Toss! is a typical example of what works extremely well in VR games, on the same level of other classics like Beat Saber and Pistol Whip. [tested on Meta Quest 2]

Tekken 7 is definitely a big guy. A new engine, new characters, new combat techniques and a lot of new game modes and options. It doesn't have the amount of content found in Injustice 2, but the way the familiar combat system makes you feel so powerful is still unmatched.

The modern superhero genre, with its real-world heroes and corporate dynamics, is very complicated to manage, even for those who work with superheroes every day. To perfectly capture its nuances, while also offering an original perspective, and to do so through a narrative adventure—another genre that's not easy to handle—is a success we truly didn't see coming. Dispatch is surprising, even just for how it manages to handle and connect such diverse dynamics within an experience that keeps you glued to the screen.

Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising is a fighting game that makes immediacy its strong point, easy to approach but incredibly deep. The mechanics of the first chapter have been properly refined, and a rich roster offers hours of fun in company. It's a shame that the content reserved for solo players is very limited, classifying the game as a party for the use and consumption of those who love to challenge themselves online. Then again, I really can't like those simplified commands.

Those who expected major innovations in Sonic Superstars should not have expected major innovations in Sonic Superstars. Sonic always remains Sonic, precisely because he is Sonic. New heights have been reached in this particular type of level design, which alternates sections in which the hedgehog splashes like a pinball, apparently without any possibility of control on our part, with almost pixel perfect movements in which excellent timing is also required . Bosses, as always, require careful analysis of movement patterns. Everything else is a pleasant side dish, but at the base there is always the old but superlative Sonic gameplay.

With its new title, the GRIS studio does not disappoint expectations at all. The story of Alba and Neva is told very well, with the right rhythms, and manages to touch the strings of the soul without ever falling short. Helped, in this, by an exceptional artistic style, with very few equals in the entire sector, and by music that holds up well in comparison with the rest. To play without a shadow of a doubt, but keep in mind that it has a rather short duration.

INDIKA’s gameplay is at the service of its narrative, so as to tell an allegorical and satirical story about religious institutions and the power they have over people. It is a story that deals with existential themes in an often surreal way, taking advantage of a staging that thrives on contrasts and dissonances, managing to convey a message while always keeping the balance between the serious and the irreverent (and at times even blasphemous) irony.

This is definitely a lucky time for soulslike lovers, and Lies of P is no exception. Nice to look at and well thought out in terms of gameplay, the criticisms to be leveled at the creation of Round 8 Studio are very few, and all of them have little impact. It also manages to be an interesting reinterpretation of the Pinocchio opera, think about it.

Like a Formula 1 car, Forza Motorsport has quite radically rethought its set-up to reduce the gap to its rivals. The new career introduces RPG components designed to increase the bond between the player and their vehicles: the fleet of vehicles is still large, but the focus has shifted to the customization of performances. The manual calibration of difficulty and aids makes it suitable for any type of player, offering in any case an intriguing challenge thanks to the AI of the drivatars. Visually it's impressive, but there's still something missing to match the realism of GT.
