Unless you must play every Pokemon title you’re probably better off simply waiting for the release of X and Y later in the year.

Nindroids gave the impression that Ninjago could play host to a fresher style of Lego play, a playground to burst through some of the baggage that the Lego games have picked up over the years. Instead Shadow of Ronin feels like a step back - the potential’s been dropped, and franchise cash-in territory entered.

Overall, One Piece: Unlimited World Red feels like a game made for fans of the series, and ultimately, they’re the only people we can consider recommending this game to.

If a few new weapons are enough to part you with your cash then Fallen Angel is an expensive addition worth a look. If it’s content you seek, look elsewhere – this expansion is so lacking in thought that even Dead Rising’s brain-craving zombies would pass it by.

Despite some initial freshness, Keepers of the Void doesn't add anything substantial to Fury's journey, other than an expensive way to unlock some new armour and weapons.

And that, more than anything else, is the main problem with Master Reboot; it doesn’t feel finished.

There lies within Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory the core of a great franchise. Unfortunately, everything surrounding the satirical premise serves to dilute it to the same level as the fluffy nothingness that makes up most of the game.

Narco Terror is a surprisingly fun little throwback title that makes no apologies for its exaggerated action and ridiculous plot line.

A party game that's fun for a while, but you probably won't be loading it up after your guests leave.

Jack Keane 2 will do nothing to convert people to the adventure genre and it's difficult to recommend it to adventure fans. It appears to be designed to appeal more to casual players given the relative lack of depth to the whole experience, and the colourful but cardboard-cutout characters aimed at a younger audience.

Bound By Flame had potential, its excellent crafting system and skill trees are a good basis for any RPG, but the unbalanced combat system doesn't do a good job of exploiting them.

In many ways Commandos 2 HD looks and feels like a classic real-time strategy game but it is not fit for purpose on a console.

Like the combination weapons it proudly (and rightly) brandishes, Operation Broken Eagle seems hastily constructed but not half as entertaining.

EDF has a fiercely loyal following, and fans are likely to be happy embracing this latest title, bugs and all. For everyone else though, EDF 2025 is the gaming equivalent of Sharktopus: a bargain basement, low-budget cheesefest of the highest order, mildly amusing for a short time, filled with awful lines, and completely forgettable.

With so little gameplay and almost no visual flair, the combination of broadly described ideas and impetus on the player to find their own story just don't come together. It's like the bare bones of a game without any of the meat.

Arguably the most damning thing you could say about Halo Spartan Assault is that it is very easy to see that this is a game ported over from a tablet (or Win 8 PC for the pedantic), microtransactions and all.

An emotionless take on the genre, with little but its reliance on nostalgia to sustain its brief running time.

What’s rather galling and confusing is the fact this is the third version of this game to exist after the PS3 and the original browser game.

Without a doubt, this first-person dungeon crawler is designed to appeal to a small, dedicated, niche group of Vita owners with a fondness for Japanese anime naughtiness and the patience of a saint. But for the majority, Demon Gaze provides too little reward for far too much hard work.

A beautiful game to look at, but horribly flawed deep down. The art style and good use of the Vita’s touch screen is enough to draw you in, but the poor story and constant repetition will certainly alienate players before the game really has a chance to truly get started.

Ultimately what you have here is a visual guidebook (which is great but not really helpful at home on your PC) overlayed with an interactive romance novel, where the protagonist has minimal input to the final outcome, unless they know where you need to go to get the girl you want.

You’d think with it being a free-to-play game, it would be easy to forgive Dust 514 for not fulfilling all of its potential or sticking to its big promises. Putting aside the dull backdrops, dusty palette and glitch riddled gameplay, the biggest disappointment lies with the cross platform functionality between it and EVE Online.

Fun, nostalgic and easy to pick up, but its lack of variety make it feel rushed and unfinished. This game has the potential to be the Power Rangers, but for now, it has ended up being Bulk and Skull.

Commandos 2 HD has had a fresh lick of paint and a nice polish but that's about it. It would have been nice to bring something new to the table in terms additional missions or new commandos. In today's world of video games, It just does not hold up against its peers. I do look forward to the planned 3rd installment they have mentioned. This is also due out on consoles in spring 2020 and hopefully, this title will have more modern bells and whistles attached to make it more appealing.

This is one game definitely made for the die-hard F1 fans who have a bigger passion for racing, than perhaps for gaming.
