Hotline Miami and its sequel stand the test of time as two titles built around an excellent combat loop while offering so much more as well. The visuals, soundtrack, and kinetic combat combine to form one of the greatest indie titles in history - and one still worth playing in 2019.- The Digital Fix

Easily the longest of the DLC released to date, Dragon Keep clocks in at a cool twelve to fifteen hours, possibly even more if you are the kind of player that explores every last nook and cranny of the map. Providing excellent value for money and to date the best reason to go back to Pandora, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep is a must for anyone remotely interested in going back to Borderlands 2.- The Digital Fix

A rough gem that is not only a great game in its own right but also acts as the perfect hype generator for Fallout 4.- The Digital Fix

Unity is not the huge leap forward that a next-gen Assassin’s Creed promised it would be – rather it’s a familiar adventure dressed in exceptional decoration.- The Digital Fix

Relic have played it safe here, it has to be said. With an admittedly beautiful graphical overhaul and solid mechanics Company of Heroes 2 was never going to be anything less than good. But there are few real developments in terms of gameplay and innovation which may feel like a missed opportunity for ardent fans.- The Digital Fix

Halo Wars 2 offers fans of the franchise a whole new swathe of lore and is a damn fine real time strategy to boot - all playable from the comfort of your sofa.- The Digital Fix

Considering there was a time not long ago where it seemed we would never see a proper conclusion to The Walking Dead, the finale we do get is wonderful. There are a few end outcomes based on your path through the story, each as strong as the one before. But, most importantly, there is real closure here, and a sense that this was a journey worth taking.- The Digital Fix

Team Sonic Racing is, above all else, a fun kart racing game that stumbles a little with difficulty spikes in single player and slow down in split screen multiplayer, Those looking for a challenging but welcoming racing game to play with friends and family are likely to get exactly what they're looking for.- The Digital Fix

Despite a few flaws, it’s easy to recommend Expeditions: Conquistador for a number of reasons - the storyline, the strategic battles, the exploration and levelling. As an example of any one genre it’s hard to pin down, as it (generally) succeeds in trying lots of things and combining them into a fun and challenging experience. The result is a rewarding and nuanced game with few peers.- The Digital Fix

Whatever your interest in the world of American Football it is here, you can either take a bite from every dish or simply keep ordering your favourite food. And the good news is that it is all tasty, not perfect, but pretty irresistible.- The Digital Fix

FIFA 14 pushes the franchise forward in baby steps without providing any major surprises or new “wow” features, yet is still streets ahead of the competition and a must for any footie fan.- The Digital Fix

It may not have the narrative thrust of other Black Isle titles or the likes of Bioware’s slick epics, but Icewind Dale remains an important part of the adventuring landscape for those willing to brave its frosty depths.- The Digital Fix

I Am Setsuna is a wonderful game which, while bittersweet, is told beautifully. It fits the Nintendo Switch wonderfully and is a great example of what the console is aiming to achieve.- The Digital Fix

Green Planet provides an end game and sense of conclusion to Surviving Mars, offering up enough challenge and new content to keep those already interested on the hook and perhaps even provoke some fence sitters to reach into their pockets and pay up for a ticket to a potential future.- The Digital Fix

Aggelos is executed with the bright-eyed innocence of someone who loves Wonder Boy and Metroidvania. While it does little to innovate, it succeeds in providing a well-crafted, intricate world that leaves you with a lasting sense of discovery.- The Digital Fix

Take control of Death, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse on an epic journey to far-reaching realms to absolve his brother War’s crimes. Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition is chocked full with every story DLC including The Abyssal Forge, The Demon Lord Belial, and Argul’s Tomb. The broadest in scope amongst the Darksider franchise with added mechanics like a looting system and skill tree not found in the other titles. Darksiders II is a game worth coming back to or trying out for the first time on the Switch.- The Digital Fix

WWE 2K19 is an incredibly comprehensive sandbox, offering the chance to run the show as you see fit and recreate just about anything you might have seen on TV, but long time fans of the franchise might well be disappointed by an unchanged combat system and a story mode held back by monetization tactics.- The Digital Fix

Gorgeous to look at, still a blast in co-op, brimming with solid content and the new petrol head angle, Skylanders SuperChargers is a solid addition to the already well established franchise. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, then, is not only the best Pirate Warriors game to date - as you would expect - but maybe, just maybe, the best Musou game available at the moment. Despite the reused story assets that may cheapen the experienced for seasoned Pirate Warriors vets, Omega Force once again prove they are the kings of their craft with this glorious, delicious slice into anime mayhem. Sit down, Hyrule Warriors. You aren’t the pinnacle anymore.- The Digital Fix

There is something near perfect at work here as gameplay, story, visuals, controls and audio all compliment and enhance each other. It feels like a cliche, or lazy writing, to call Hotline Miami a ‘pure’ gaming experience but that is very much what it is.- The Digital Fix

Snakeybus is honest fun and beautiful, varied graphics, combined into an arcade game that's hedonistically addictive. It's admittedly light on features, but the core gameplay loop is enough to keep you hooked for a few hours. Just as the fun starts to wear thin, a new level usually unlocks to keep things interesting.- The Digital Fix

It’s great fun and easy to play, but hard to master. It is delightful on your own playing against the world’s high scores and those of your friends, but also wholesomely entertaining as a party game given each go takes seconds or minutes and you can try again very quickly. There is no right or wrong way to play and many sets of tactics which can be employed to garner great results. You might blast through the levels, or collect all the trophies, or spend ages just chasing the top of that leaderboard. You can play it in multiple ways, trying to achieve varied goals. I wholeheartedly suggest you take the highway to the Danger Zone. There, I said it.- The Digital Fix
