As a package Rise of the Tomb Raider is sublime pure Hollywood blockbuster entertainment with the only real negative that some could level is that the minute to minute gameplay presents very little that would be considered groundbreaking or new and at times it might feel similar to the previous iteration.- The Digital Fix

Overall it is hard not to be impressed with what Turtle Rock have achieved here, as Evolve is truly unlike anything available at the moment. Its no-nonsense approach is a breath of fresh air, and while the steep learning curve may force some gamers out of the loop early, those who remain will help form the core experience of the game in the months to come - a version of natural selection if you will.- The Digital Fix

The Switch edition of Civilization VI brings the full (base) Civ experience to a handheld. For this alone it's an essential purchase for strategy players, but the interface and presentation make this one of the best games on the console on its own merits.- The Digital Fix

It’s not like everything that needs to be improved is touched in one go; nor do we get that brand-new and surprising title. So here we don’t get that ten out of ten rating but Sports Interactive deserve praise for again delivering the best football management simulation around.- The Digital Fix

A cleverly plotted puzzle game wrapped in the cloak of a murder-mystery. It may be brief, but The Sexy Brutale will certainly deliver an unforgettable evening.- The Digital Fix

The game can be completed in approximately six to eight hours, depending on how quickly you master the combat and if you choose to watch the cutscenes. It may not sound like a lot but after giving your thumbs a serious work out, it’s actually just the right amount of time needed to tell Raiden’s story.- The Digital Fix

Dark Souls Remastered is a solid reminder of the incredible strength of the original entry in the series. There are certainly some comforts lost by going back the start but the game is still incredible. Whether you have never played it before or you miss the good old days, this is a great remaster.- The Digital Fix

Its amazing what has been done with this portable Witcher 3 port. Yes the graphics are downgraded, yes it does not look as good as other versions but it is a well running portable version of a great RPG. You get a lot of game for your money and it is well worth your time and effort.- The Digital Fix

It's rarely I can say this but for me The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners had dragged the VR platform forward. With its perfect VR implementation, its brilliant control scheme and its visceral combat, it a pure joy to play. A nasty, gruesome edge of the seat joy but a joy nonetheless. Brilliant.- The Digital Fix

Katana Zero was a pleasant surprise. I did not expect the emotional roller coaster I was about to embark on. It ticks all the boxes; great soundtrack, great gameplay, a well told story. I don't think there are enough words to explain how much I enjoyed this one. It is easily my favorite game of the year so far and I suggest you play it.- The Digital Fix

The Suicide of the Rachel Foster is a masterpiece in atmospheric storytelling. The slow-paced unveiling of the truth is crafted meticulously, and whilst the ultimate ending is a little disappointing, that doesn’t make the journey any less thrilling. The game knows exactly how to manipulate emotions and does so throughout. Equal parts intriguing, frightening, disturbing, and thrilling, The Suicide of Rachel Foster sets a new high-bar for the already strong first person exploration genre.- The Digital Fix

Pixel Ripped 1995 is chock full of clever ideas, mind-bending scenarios and very well designed gameplay sections. What goes along with that is a very well thought out VR implementation, a great control scheme and easy to understand, fun, familiar gameplay. As random as it sounds, combining robots, pinball, and hack and slash game play absolutely works. The Creature in the Well is by no means a casual game due to its difficulty, though the slow but steady ramping of skill required and the satisfaction of completing a dungeon section are more than enough to keep almost any gamer trying to beat just one more room.- The Digital Fix

Audica is certainly unique, and provides a good change of pace alongside a more robust title like Beat Saber, but it isn't yet the industry innovator that it could be. It has a high skill floor and an even higher skill ceiling, but maintains the universal reward when you put the time in and improve. [Ear; Access Score = 70]- The Digital Fix

The combat and gunplay have also been quite challenging at times. The AI is some of the best I’ve experienced in the genre as enemies don’t always just run up to you in open space (though, they tend to do so at times) but also attempt to flank you while you’re trying to take down a sniper from afar. Movement and cover are key to staying alive. The “bullet sponge” effect does still seem to be prevalent with mini-bosses and bosses despite the new armor system which intended to make gunfights more strategic. I’m still holding hope for some more interesting boss battles later in the game.- The Digital Fix

All in all, the Off The Grid DLC has been fun and a great addition to what seems an ever-expanding game. It always seems to come offer on Steam as well, so if you are missing it from your collection, it is a must buy. Ultimately, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is an entertaining, albeit often simple, game full of sporting events that'll get friends and family set for some multiplayer fun. It's not as comprehensive as it perhaps could be in the way it allows players to set up their multiplayer sessions, but the variety and charm when it comes to the way everything is presented helps lift the whole package up.- The Digital Fix

Whilst there's lots here to keep fans of management and colony building games entertained, there's still a lot that needs to be worked on. The use of 'specialists' who explore the world map, feel like they need an overhaul so that this part of the game is more engaging, and the point of having them feels more important to the overall wellbeing of your colony. The fact it's in early management still is good, as hopefully these issues will be addressed, and the actual colony building side of the game provides a lot of fun. It can be hard to rate an early-access title because you have to understand that what you're playing isn't complete yet, regardless of how good or bad it is. However, in its current state, Valheim is already well worth picking up. The future is very bright for this game. [Early Access Provisional Score = 80]- The Digital Fix

There are lots of areas that aren't fully detailed and one would hope that Asobo Studios work on beefing up the introductory side of the game ahead of its release on the Xbox One. There are times where the novel-sized instruction manuals of the past really should still exist and this is one of them. Despite this the game is still welcoming and post training you'll have no trouble jumping into any of the game's aircraft and taking to the skies - knowing the basics is enough to have fun but the amount of depth means that there's always something new to discover. Our hope right now is that Asobo and Microsoft manage to improve performance for those of us on lesser rigs and that a patch is forthcoming to help boost the frame rate a little. I can appreciate the game at less than 20fps in low settings but I would love to be truly blown away by it.- The Digital Fix
