Two Point Campus is a shining example of how to make a management sim and all its deep gameplay systems engaging and enjoyable. It can still feel overwhelming, but its charm far outweighs any flaws.- Switch Player

Evergate is a precision puzzle platformer which looks beautiful and sounds fantastic. Although the controls take some getting used to, the intricately designed levels provide a wealth of challenge, and the power-up system offers many different ways to play.- Switch Player

Fire Emblem Engage delivers fan-service and new ideas in equal measure, creating a game well worth your time even if you’re not a Fire Emblem fan. Despite some story and dialogue missteps, it’s another solid entry in the long-running franchise.- Switch Player

Mobile hit Kingdom Rush is right at home on the Switch, with art that pops on all screen sizes, and smooth Joy-Con and touch controls. Though simple in formula, levels have a steep challenge, multiple difficulties, and excellent pacing.- Switch Player

At an attractive price point, the accessible nature of Pic-a-Pix Deluxe makes it the ideal title to show off to the older members of your family as a gateway to the Switch. Addictive puzzling for everyone else makes it a lovely package.- Switch Player

By allowing you to play with paintings, Gorogoa takes form as one of the most impressive and smart puzzlers. By mixing up the ethereal and tangible, it plays around with your perspective in the form of a handcrafted kaleidoscope. Despite its short duration, it’s a touching experience, one of the gems of 2017.- Switch Player

Don't Die, Mr. Robot DX! is a game that you can just sit back, chill out and play. The difficulty will ramp up if you play in a mode other than Chill Out mode - but a quick five-minute session can soon turn into hours when this addictive arcade game sinks its hooks into you.- Switch Player

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is the coming together of two worlds that complement each other very well. Whilst some modes are superfluous, and others reliant on a second player, the perfect combination results in something fairly special.- Switch Player

While perhaps sacrificing a little of the series’ identity, WarioWare: Get it Together! goes in a bold new direction on Switch that largely pays off. It’s great, clean, wacky fun.- Switch Player

Tanuki Justice is a high-quality, retro-inspired, hardcore platformer that vibrates with the personality of the era that it pays respects to. It is very short, but for those that prefer an all killer no filler approach, it’s money well spent.- Switch Player

Ni No Kuni is a visually stunning classic, whose story of heartbreak will touch even the toughest of souls. Wonderfully-written characters, along with top-notch gameplay, help to bring this game to life, even if it eventually gets a little long in the tooth.- Switch Player

The Mummy Demastered feels less like a movie tie-in and more like a love letter to the metroidvania genre. The art style will appease a retro gamer appetite while it brings some modern elements to keep it fresh and engaging. If you're a fan of games of this ilk, then it is a must-have purchase. If you're not sure what metroidvania is, give it a go anyway. You'll be pleasantly surprised.- Switch Player

Ayo The Clown offers platforming antics by numbers, and it’s a crowded genre with some big jumping shoes for company. But there are enough fresh ideas to warrant a deviation from the well-worn first-party platforming path.- Switch Player

Ikaruga is hard. That may be the conclusion you've already drawn from the review, but rarely before has it been so apt. This is bullet hell with emphasis on the hell - don't think you're going to breeze through it.- Switch Player

Lair of the Clockwork God is a joyously nonsensical adventure filled with sharp wit and an eclectic mix of challenges. As a merging of two genres (platformer and point ‘n’ click adventure), it mostly succeeds. Are you game for a laugh?- Switch Player

Kingdom: New Lands is a great experience. At a first glance, it looks like a kingdom management game with a very simple gameplay premise; carefully built with an astonishing beautiful pixel art style. Under its subtle design philosophy, though, lies a deep experience that is both frustrating and fascinating.- Switch Player

Darksiders Genesis is a wildly different game to Darksiders I and II, and is nowhere near as competent with its design. It is, however, a hell of a lot of fun, with the inclusion of co-op being a standout feature. Paying £350 for the Nephilim Edition is a massive stretch, though.- Switch Player

Broken Lines is a superbly unique take on the tactical strategy genre, with its multi-tiered story and turn-based combat that unfolds in real-time. A bit lacking graphically in the Switch port, but otherwise a great experience overall.- Switch Player

Whilst the whimsical nature of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout can act as a double-edged sword, feeling both magical and fleeting mere moments apart, Ryza’s infectious personality is a joy to behold. In-depth combat and item synthesis are cleverly utilised throughout and, despite characters and narrative producing varying results, the overall quality is up there with the very best.- Switch Player

Windjammers 2 is addictive, vibrant, and intense. With gameplay as fun as this you’d be hard pressed not to enjoy it to some degree, but the lack of tutorials and the rather limited modes hold it back a little.- Switch Player
