Worms W.M.D. isn't the most original entry in the series. Rather, it's a modernised version of the earlier games. It may not be the best single player game either, but couple it with the portability and various multiplayer options of the Switch, Worms brings a fun and frantic game that is always best shared.- Switch Player

The Mummy Demastered feels less like a movie tie-in and more like a love letter to the metroidvania genre. The art style will appease a retro gamer appetite while it brings some modern elements to keep it fresh and engaging. If you're a fan of games of this ilk, then it is a must-have purchase. If you're not sure what metroidvania is, give it a go anyway. You'll be pleasantly surprised.- Switch Player

This Is The Police takes the running of a police force and turns it into a strategic, management game with light RPG elements. You won't see any action here and the unreasonable, random demands made can be frustrating. However, throughout all of this, there is a narrative and a goal that can keep you engaged and entertained for many hours.- Switch Player

Sparkle 2 EVO is not a bad game. It is however, poorly fleshed out and feels very uninspired, there are a few glimmers of hope such as a competitive mode but these just don't do enough to make the game feel interesting. If you're after a short relaxed experience then Sparkle 2 EVO is likely to scratch that itch but for anyone looking for more then don't expect much here.- Switch Player

Doom is a fast-paced, blood-soaked first-person shooter which pitches you in an exhilarating war against the hordes from hell. While some concessions have been made in order to make it run on the Switch, it is still pretty much the same Doom game. The Bridge feels right on the Switch hardware, specifically in handheld mode. The atmospheric music, mind-boggling physics mechanics and abstract visual style all amalgamate together to produce one of the best Puzzle games currently available on the platform. Like a fine wine, Skyrim is a game that has improved with age. I had mixed feelings about the Nintendo Switch version prior to playing, knowing what issues I faced in the PS3 version and wondering how it would perform on the Nintendo Switch. However, I had nothing to worry about - the game is fantastic on the Nintendo Switch and is a fantastic way to experience Bethesda's open-world wonder. If you haven't played this before, you are in for a treat. If you have, you're in for a pleasant surprise and returning to this world is a welcome trip down memory lane.- Switch Player

Party Golf has loads of modes to keep you busy, and offers loads of fun to bring you back. Gather some friends together and you'll have a bundle of fun, but it's also good fun playing against some CPUs. Rime is one of those games that has all the potential to be one of the all-time greats, but falls short at the last hurdle. By no means a bad game, Monopoly for Nintendo Switch just seems to miss the point a little. As far as replicating the board game goes, this title does a great job. However, the things that make Monopoly great - the arguments, the social aspect etc are somewhat lacking here. For the price of this title, you'd be better off spending your money on the actual board game and playing with friends and family - it'd be cheaper and a heck of a lot more fun!- Switch Player

Just Dance 2018 is an unremarkable addition to a tired series with little to entice returning players back into the fold. Splasher is a platformer that wears its influences on its sleeve from a story taken straight from Oddworld and gameplay that can almost match Rayman. As I've previously maintained, these games' worth can only really be determined if you have loads of people handy, and people who can think of entertaining answers at that. Having 100 players able to join in is a major selling point – you can see the live streamers encourage their fanbase to get involved, so of course that would be a lot of fun. However, on the other hand, there’s a bit of a problem in that so few of the games are able to be played with less than three players. Yes, it’s a party game, but people in general simply don’t have that many people around with them to be able to play the game often. Then again, that could be a blessing in disguise.- Switch Player

LEGO Worlds is a game full of wasted potential. It has a very robust creation tool, but it is completely overshadowed by a repetitive and uninspired gameplay looping, and a very bad performance overall.- Switch Player

Semispheres is a pretty standard puzzle game, it has some nice concepts but fails to really elaborate on them enough to build a more compelling experience. The game is a good way to spend an evening if you prefer to relax and stroll through some straightforward puzzles, so for those with a cerebral itch, Semispheres is a decent if forgettable experience.- Switch Player

As a challenging indie title which offers a good chunk of replayability, NeuroVoider is certainly worth some of your time. Know before you make the purchase that you're going to be shooting, shooting and more shooting, though, and you should be able to take advantage of it in quick bursts thanks to its pick-up-and-play nature. It's not a cheap one at £12.99, but it's an indie game you ought to give a chance.- Switch Player

Beach Buggy Racing is a pleasant enough kart racer that does just about enough to make it an enjoyable experience. Although it can't compete with the behemoth that is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it holds its own with the amount of content it has to offer at a budget price. There's enough here to keep you entertained, but don't expect to be swept off your feet!- Switch Player

Sonic Mania is like a greatest hits album that your favourite artist may release, with a few new tracks as a bonus. It has a high level of nostalgia, gloss and polish and will really challenge your skill, reflexes and patience. There's quite a bit to get stuck into, but you may find yourself being frustrated. If you love the little blue chap and relish a challenge, speed along to the e-shop and pick this up.- Switch Player

Pokkén Tournament DX is a thoroughly enjoyable experience that undoubtedly deserves your time. The game impressed on every level; the core fighting gameplay is superb and incredibly extensive, the customisation options are truly staggering, and the attention to detail is abundantly clear. Not entirely faultless, but very close to it, this game is the Switch's next must-buy.- Switch Player

Lichtspeer: Double Speer Edition is bonkers (in a good way), has a nice core gameplay mechanic and boasts a nice aesthetic style, but ultimately suffers from cruel difficulty spikes and repetition. Fans of seriously challenging gameplay will get some enjoyment from this, and with a fair amount of time and patience, others will find their way to the credits too. If you have a willing friend, co-op gameplay is definitely recommended!- Switch Player

If you're after a puzzler, I couldn't recommend Piczle Lines DX enough. Just the amount of addictiveness and content you want, and a lot of DLC content to come as well. You won't be getting bored of it anytime soon, and being able to come and go as you please is a big plus point. A welcome addition to the Switch library.- Switch Player

Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure is the first adventure game from Telltale to come to the Switch. It is the ultimate package of the narrative-driven take on the famous block-building franchise. With an enjoyable D&D-like story, it is an enjoyable experience, in which your choices seems to matter - at least as long as you allow yourself to play along with the magician trick.- Switch Player

It's pretty hard to find fault with League of Evil. Ratalaika Games have really demonstrated just how well a port of a mobile title can make use of the Switch. Noting that it's beautiful in handheld and on the silver screen, and factoring in the challenge and ability to keep players interested and focused on getting through the short burst levels, League of Evil won't be a game that you'll regret adding to your Switch collection.- Switch Player

With some decent pinball gameplay at its core and the addition of a rotated view in Tabletop mode allowing that classic feel of a vertical arcade game, GUNBARICH could have been an interesting title for the Switch. Unfortunately, it is far too hard to complete on its original settings, leaving most players to ultimately get rid of the ‘lives’ and ‘continues’ system, instead dying over and over again until they reach the end. Adding an overly congested screen into the mix on top of this results in a game that is hard to recommend.- Switch Player

STRIKERS1945 is a challenging but fun experience. As you put more time and energy into the game you’ll start to see the results of your patience, slowly being able to clear more and more of its fiendish stages. The varying aircraft options allow players to find a play-style that suits them, and the option to alter the amount of lives and continues you have means that (whilst experienced arcade lovers will get the most out of this game), players who struggle can still see the game through to the end.- Switch Player

forma.8 is Mixed Bag Games’ take on the Metroidvania genre. It combines puzzling and combat with the awe-inspiring exploration of an atmospheric alien world. Not diminished by any of its slips, it’s a compelling adventure of a little charming probe.- Switch Player

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a mashup that shouldn't work, but does. Taking Nintendo's beloved mascot and combining him with their own, love them or hate them Rabbids - Ubisoft has made a Mario game that feels every bit a Nintendo first party title. Aside from some odd difficulty spikes and a lack of replayability, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a fantastic turn-based strategy title that both newcomers and fans of the genre should definitely experience.- Switch Player

Much like the likes of WarioWare DIY and Super Mario Maker, Use Your Words is a game that can only be as fun as you, and your friends and family, are willing to make it. It can be a bundle of laughs if your friendship group features one or two comedy geniuses, but without them it could border on the mundane. There’s only so many fart and poop jokes that people can put in as answers before it gets repetitive, and the fact that there’s nowhere else you can really go with the game once you’ve played its only mode a few times make it a tough sell at its current asking price.- Switch Player

Possibly the worst game to grace the Nintendo Switch, Troll and I really is something that you will want to stay away from. If you are daft enough to spend full price on this, then I simply have no sympathy for you. It's a shame, as the premise could have made for fun - if everything else in this game wasn't so god damned awful!- Switch Player

Even if you don't have a penchant for pixel art or consider yourself a popular culture vulture, there's plenty to enjoy in Retro City Rampage DX. Take the 5-6 hour main story stages at your own pace while exploring all the little nooks and crannys of Theftropolis and you'll find a wealth of customization, add-ons, minigames and a variety of vehicles and weapons to try out. A thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying retro themed sandbox which will appeal to both fans of the 8 bit era and open world adventure games.- Switch Player

Severed has hit the Nintendo Switch, and it's just as good as it was the very first time it released. A touch-based game which runs in handheld mode only, this title has a rather unique take on gameplay mechanics, art, story, and more. It very much deserves to be played by the masses, and if you haven't played it elsewhere then you should definitely pick it up.- Switch Player

Ultra Hyperball is a game that you’d expect to see on your smart phone; something you can pick up for pennies rather than pounds, and then put down when your train arrives. Whilst there is something of a mindless distraction on offer here, this really isn’t the sort of game that we should be encouraging for consoles. Having local multiplayer makes Ultra Hyperball a little more attractive, but it’s still an incredibly unappealing package overall.- Switch Player

Implosion is a hack 'n' slash action game that looks - from a distance - much better than it actually is. Once you start playing however, you'll find a fairly average (if not downright mediocre) title with some great looking graphics. There's simply nothing unique or enticing about this one aside from its shiny appearance, so you're probably best to look elsewhere if you're looking for something that engages you in any meaningful way.- Switch Player

Slime-san is certainly worth a purchase, both for its charm and its addictiveness. It’s impressive how much personality Fabraz managed to convey with just a few pixels, and it’s here in droves. That said, with your mind on the clock there may not be as much time as story-fans would like to take it all in, but thankfully the gameplay makes it worth playing either way.- Switch Player
