    On one fateful summer evening, the Moon, source of all magic and spiritual power, does not rise. Your course is clear. You must set out alone or with the other chosen children of the Moon to solve the mystery and restore balance.

    Without the Moons power, monsters rise up and chaos grows across the lands. Players must rely on one another in a dangerous, ever-changing world. As the days and nights cycle past, players use every last scrap of their wits, weapons, and magical studies to survive, craft, explore, and ultimately triumph. How you express your personality in difficult decisions shapes your reputation and, ultimately, how your tribe remembers you in the generations to come. What constellation would be your symbol?

    All told, Moon Hunters is a wonderful roguelike RPG that is quite unlike anything else available on the Switch, offering a bite-sized, engaging adventure that is extremely replayable and can be enjoyed both alone and with friends. Though there are some issues with the easy difficulty and the occasionally heinous load times, we still give this one a strong recommendation. Moon Hunters offers a lot with a relatively small amount of content, and you’ll likely find yourself revisiting this one for quite some time.

    If you’re looking for a light co-op game on Switch, Moon Hunters is fantastic, and the simple combat and short length are more of a boon than a hindrance. But if you want something deeper and long-lasting, this falls short of that, especially as a single-player-only affair. Still, weaving your own legends makes for a good time, even if it’s short-lived.

    Moon Hunters is more than the retro-styled action game that screenshots would lead you to believe, but it is also less than the personality test RPG that it sets out to be. A fun evening with friends could be had, but don’t expect to find a lasting experience.

    Combat is passable, the music is great, it’s visually fine: chances are you’ve seen numerous retro-inspired roguelikes this before, albeit maybe not with this particular gimmick. What lets Moon Hunters down, though, is that while it’s perfectly entertaining to play in short bursts, its loading times can completely ruin the experience.

    Really good casual co-op game. You can play through a campaign in about an hour so perfect for when you want to play something light andReally good casual co-op game. You can play through a campaign in about an hour so perfect for when you want to play something light and quick. Also good because you don't have to get the same people together multiple times to finish it. There's a number of different classes and you can put together a different build of specializations every run. The story is 'different', you piece a narrative together over the course of several playthroughs and it's more about the different stories characters have than what actually happens. My only negative points would be that the loading times at the start of levels are a bit long and we experienced a bit of lag every now and then.… Expand

The issue I have with this one is, that even after playing about one hour, I still dont know what to do. And I should be in a 1/6 of the game... I cant say, that the graphics are really bad, but neither are they good. What is really horrible is the loading times. When you start the game, it takes almost 2 minutes to let you into the game. And then where you start the mission.. again one minute and a few seconds. In about an hour of game I spent about 10 minutes waiting.. too much for todays games... This is the major letdown. But even if it were blitz fast I wouldnt be happy with the game. There are better options then this one in the same price and game category.

    The loading times are very long (yeah I know it takes time to generate the procedural world, but still, the loading time is PSOne long...), and the game stutter all the time while playing!! Stuttering on a visually poor 2D game on the switch, even on dock mode! That makes no sense, and makes the game really annoying to play sadly. I regret buying it.
    I wish someone told me those problem before buying, so I write this review to warn other people to not buy it. At least not on the switch.    … Expand
