Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered is a strange paradox. It's a "link" chapter, that concludes the concepts born on previous gen consoles, but on the other hand it actually says something new about the series and its background. There are plenty of recycled ideas, but here they reach the better compromise between engagement, free-roaming, plot and optional tasks. The remaster also does not feature specific changes except from the stabilized frame-rate, so if you are not collectors you will not be so incentivized to rebuy it. If you have discovered the series from Black Flag and Unity, consider giving it a shot.

Bayek returns to see Ubisoft deliver his highest artistic performance ever in the Assassins’ brand, with astonishing settings and brand new enemies and characters. We didn’t need Bayek’s too-trustful missions again, but a 13-hour campaign, a more strategic combat system and a balanced difficulty complete a recipe any AC Origins’ fan should try.

Ni No Kuni 2 is an astonishing adventure, one of the most beautiful and fun action jRPGs released in the last several years.

Titan Quest was better remembered as a decent hack'n'slash on PC than a mediocre Diablo clone on consoles: this version is clearly rushed out and it doesn't do any justice to a title that's been fun and engaging for the last twelve years.

The Council: The Mad Ones is a good start. Adding RPG elements in a classic adventure game is a very good idea, but there's something wrong in the reactions. Also, the graphics are outdated.

This is a well-thought sequel that builds over the foundations laid with the first chapter and deepens the RPG aspects, while getting rid of some rough edges here and there. If you love Isayama-san's work, don't miss out on this one.

Surviving Mars does not speak to the casual gamer, but it's also a good city-builder. Its creators Haemimont Games deeply love science-fiction, and they demonstrated it by giving their game a variety of scenarios together with its citybuilder nature. It deserves time to be appreciated, but seeing your colony become operative is always a satisfaction. Veterans could find a relatively new way to see science-fiction on their genre. Due to rigid gamepad controls, newcomers may consider the PC.

The story, content and gameplay are unquestionably of a good standard, but it was not what we wanted from the final game of Kiryu Kazuma, who we were so fond of during these 12 years. In our opinion it was reasonable to expect something more, especially in the combat system that instead of going forward took a step back, especially if compared with Yakuza 0, which on that front (but not only that) was the pinnacle of the series. The purchase is still recommended in an essential way, especially if you are a historical fan, in the meanwhile we'll waiting to find out what'll be the future of the brand without Dragon of Dojima.

Kirby Star Allies is another good game of a long lasting series. The game is fresh and gives lot of fun, and the gameplay, even if it's simple, is rock-solid.

Distortions is a story-driven musical adventure that tells a story of loss, depression and frailty. Despite the good intentions of developers, the players have to face many technical flaws.

The Sims Mobile is the perfect "Sim" experience on smart devices.

Eventually, the good ideas offered are not enough to promote this racing game. However they are enough to let us say that TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge is not a bad game, not at all. It is rather a wasted opportunity, for the value and the resonance of the license to which it's bounded as well as for the strong, and felt, need to have a valid and complete motorcycle racing game in the videogame panorama.

Devil May Cry HD Collection is a lazy work by the developers: compared to the previous HD remastered it doesn't add anything and it exemplifies the old age of the saga.

Pure Farming 2018 is proposed on the market with a first chapter that tries to break the waters in a situation that could start to become stagnant. If on one hand try to propose new crops and environments different from the main competitor, on the other hand forget the online mode and does not integrate all the innovations developed in recent years by Giants guys. We can only hope that the next year will lead to more lush crops.

An interesting hybrid between a shooter and a party game, 5 Minutes Rage might be fun to play with friends for a short time. The gameplay and the level design, though, show some flaws.

Guns, Gore and Cannoli 2 is a wonderful sequel that knows how to improve the level design. Too bad it is shorter than the previous game.

Frantics it's a funny party game for a little while, but the fun won't last so long.

Into the breach is a shiny little gem of an indie game, with an almost perfect gameplay, a huge level of customisation and an endless replayability. In just a few days it has become one of the most addictive gaming drugs ever.

Steredenn is the surprising perfect type of game for the Nintendo Switch. Amazing shmup with very fast runs. Recommended.

Farewell is a very nostalgic and heart-warming episode of Life is Strange, maybe its "true ending".

The 25th Ward: The Silver Case is a remaster of the old visual novel developed by Grasshopper Manufacture. Unfortunately, just because something is "remastered" doesn't mean it's better.

Bravo Team is a good game that manages to recreate the feeling of collaborative shooters from the old days.

Insidia is a pleasant surprise and ideal for every player that wants a challenge, that can manage to stand on its own with constant updates and with the support of the community.

Joe Dever's Lone Wolf is a good experience for fans of the gamebook series, but its repetitive gameplay holds it far away from greatness.
