Pragmata is proof that new IPs can still be created by the titans of the industry. Hugh and Diana’s adventure doesn’t rewrite the rules of any genre, but it delivers a concentrated dose of entertainment that feels direct, grounded, and enhanced by an innovative and far-from-predictable combat system.

Except for the chronic lack of balance, that is going to annoy the more technical players, the portable debut of Super Smash Bros. is a triumph in every point of view.

Ninja Theory's last game is an amazing experience. This is the most complete version of DMC Devil May Cry, although there is no support for DirectX 11 and the game suffer from some minor technical issues.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD does justice to the original with a high-quality conversion and many extras. The title has aged very well and makes us regret the previous chapters with a gameplay that takes us back more than ten years without ever letting us weigh the time that has passed.

The work of the Yacht Club Games is a tribute of the highest quality, which is not reinventing anything but that remixes some of the great masterpieces of the past and features a solid gameplay.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Stairward Vector represents a step forward from the previous game and once again adheres to the canons of classic tabletop RPGs. While this will please purists, others may have some impatience with the static nature of the action, which despite the additions offers little dynamism and a really significant amount of text.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 is not a game, it's a nuclear rainbow explosion on steroids. There's nothing as crazy, fast and spectacular as it in the fighting genre right now. The gameplay is sure to appeal to both casual gamers and experts, and it's even more balanced than we expected. So much that it might even conquer a niche in the competitive tournaments, and that's definitely saying a lot for a Marvel vs Capcom title. Maybe it will never have the great balancing of games like Blazblue or Street Fighter IV, but it's an exhilarating beat em up that anyone should try, and that's more than enough to make it a masterpiece.

The fate of Assetto Corsa seems pretty clear: unless there are blatant reversals, we find ourselves in front of what will be, for the next few years, the benchmark for driving simulations and modders on PC.

Ys VIII is on of the best episodes (if not the best) of the franchise created by Falcom. A frantic combat system, a huge map and an enjoyable exploration make it a great adventure, not to be missed by any PS4 role playing fan.

Machinarium demonstrates, once again, how ideas and creativity in the world of video games today can impress the public, despite the current gaming market being governed by graphics and constant run-up to the latest technological developments. Proudly presenting an unique nature, and belonging to a genre of videogames that is unfortunately going to disappear, Machinarium stands out for originality, thanks to the stunning quality and many hours of puzzles and fun filled with really interesting ideas.

Nioh 2 adds some tweaks to a great combat system, with important features that open up a lot of customizations. Nonetheless the recycle of assets shows a creative impasse and an alarming lack of fresh ideas.

Guitar Hero 5 is definitely the highest point of the series, since it passed into the hands of Neversoft. Activision's game has some very interesting ideas like Play Party, Avatars in game and a lot of game modes to have fun with your friends. Some imperfections in the packaging still restrict the final judging, but all those who loved World Tour can buy this chapter without remorse.

Overall, looking at the quality of the writing, the measures taken to satisfy certain segments of the public who had criticized the predecessor, the visual splendor and the magnificence of the combat system, Octopath Traveler II is not only a first-rate JRPG, but also a superior product to its direct prequel in many ways.

It's 2D, it's evil, it's trippy, but it's never frustrating. Zenzizenzic (try saying it fast for three times) fuses classic mechanics from old arcade shooters and modern elements. It's only weakness is the limited amount of this elements, but it's still a great choice for those who love the genre.

It's easy to recommend Yakuza Zero to all fans of the series, as it tells a brilliant origin story that shows unseen sides of both the Kazuma and Majima personalities, and, at the same time, it's easy to dismiss this prequel as "another Yakuza game" for those whio never got to like the series. All in all, it's a solid and well written debut on PS4.

The Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is a stellar port of one of the best action RGPs of the last decade. And, at the same time, it is a manifesto of the passion and care CD Projekt put into their games and of the potential of the newest Nintendo hardware. We sincerely hope this marks a new era of fantastic third party support for Switch 2.

Destiny 2 is a great game, better than the first one because of its many more end-game activities, all well-structured and organized. The story is amazing, made of very beautiful cut-scenes and characters written along the lines of most contemporary movies. Unfortunately the difficulty is low and the progression of the Guardian could be very quick and easy. Despite this, the game is great to play and share with friends: waiting on the raids and the trials of the nine, we could easily say that Destiny 2 will be loved by fans and newbies.

Remnant 2 is the classic "bigger, bolder, better" sequel, that iterates on the formula of the previous game making it much better in almost every way. It's a very solid effort and a recommended option for a lot of different categories: looter shooter fans, Soulslike lovers and people who like to replay their games as long as possible.
