Atomic Heart is a brilliant game, that is able to mix some beloved game mechanics in its own way, in order to make you experience an intriguing journey that will make you wonder how and when will this universe be expanded in the future.

Borderlands 4 is a statement of intent. It’s not the chapter that rewrites the rules of the game, but the one that refines them with the confidence only a mature franchise can have. Gearbox chose not to chase fleeting trends, didn’t give in to the temptation of turning Borderlands into a soulless live service, nor to betraying its own DNA.

Gears Tactics feels like a natural step for the franchise, and the best game since The Coalition has been given control over the series.

It may not be perfect, but it's still a great free roaming RPG, filled with things to do and amazing monsters to kill.

Death Stranding 2 is a bold game that knows exactly what it wants to be when it grows up. It carries the shadow of being a little less of an “experience” and a bit less unique than the first – yet it remains unmistakable and eccentric compared to anything else on the market, because nothing else truly resembles it. What emerges is an incrementally enhanced more of the same – something that feels unusual for Kojima, who has always been eager to reinvent the wheel, the engine, and even fire itself if necessary. He layers complexity upon complexity into the gameplay, even at the risk of diluting the paradigmatic uniqueness that is (and should remain) the very identity of Death Stranding. When we published our review of the first game back in 2019, the headline was “Black or white”: I was certain people would either love it or hate it, with no middle ground. This time, we’re talking about “Black and white,” because Death Stranding 2 manages to be both at once — a grayscale of choices, some disappointingly safe and others brilliantly singular. It’s a video game that loudly insists on being, first and foremost, an artwork, while at the same time being far more of a product than its predecessor. It can’t quite replicate the disruptive, singular impact of the original, but it gently – and beautifully – reminds us that with every package we deliver to someone else, we also pass on a piece of ourselves. And that this thing we call love, these human connections, can hurt deeply — but also heal just as much. Just like Death Stranding 2 does.

Mortal Kombat is back. Filled with singleplayer content and with a roster that includes all the most beloved Kombatants, this new chapter is definetly the best Mortal kombat ever. If you are a fan, don't miss it!

Shin Megami Tensei successfully builds over the third entry in the franchise, upping the ante with a great combat system and more freedom to explore. One of the best JRPGs in the last few years and a great exclusive for the Nintendo Switch.

Capcom is doing an excellent job with its collections dedicated to classic fighting games, and this Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is another gem that brings together seven titles that have made history in the genre. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 alone is a must-play for all enthusiasts, but all the other games included are also very interesting, especially because they show how the tag team formula introduced in Capcom games has evolved over time. Lastly, the inclusion of an online multiplayer mode with rollback netcode and many other options makes these old fighting games more accessible to a younger audience.

Split Second is a funny arcade racer, standing up on its own unique trait: the ability to blow up specific elements of the track, a chance gained only when driving with a certain skill. Spectacular as the Hollywood movies to which it inspires, it falls short on customization and online options. It won't last more than the 10/12 hours offered by the campaign, which is a shame indeed. Still, it deserves to be played for its unique and funny approach to the racing genre.

Yakuza Like a Dragon is the best we could hope for the franchise, after the end of Kazuma Kiryu's storyline. It's a full fledged RPG now, and this change works extremely well with many of the pre-existent mechanics of the franchise. Don't miss it.

One of the two kings is back (the other one being Final Fantasy Tactics), and it is in a wonderful shape even eleven years after its last appearance. We're not 100% sure this is the best version of this classic, but it's a version no strategy fan should miss nonetheless.

Bloodstained Ritual of the Night is a Castlevania game in all but name, and one of the best of the franchise at that. Igarashi and his team captured everything that made that franchise so beloved, and assembled a long and fun adventure, even if a little rough around the edges on a technical standpoint.

EA Sports MMA is a great title that every Mixed Martial Arts aficionado should have. The attention to detail is top notch, with fighters that behave mostly like their real counterparts in a fight and a well-crafted career mode. Despite frequent and long loading times and a somewhat unbalanced difficulty curve EA devs definitely know their stuff when making sports games, and this is further proof of their ability.

Borderlands 3 is everything we hoped for. Gearbox has refined the traditional formula of the franchise, improving its powerful mix of FPS and RPG elements with new intriguing features. The heart of the Campaign is the inimitable humor embodied by the characters, except for the bad guys: Calypso twins struggle to find their place among the stars.
