A well written story and some good gameplay gimmicks combine with an overall context that lacks coherence. Some issues in the control system and old-gen graphics utterly spoil the fun. A shame, especially for the waste of some good ideas and the well designed supporting characters.

Ironically, this game is indeed a soup, full of different elements and with a pretty good taste. It's definitely not the deepest game around, but it will keep you entertained for a while. Probably the best “soup making simulator” around, which is not saying much, but still.

Star Wars Battlefront II is a game rich with content and extremely close to the Star Wars Universe. Graphics are impressive and the gameplay is simple and solid. Iden is not the character we expected, but the campaign has the power to brings all the Star Wars Experience directly to the player, taking him to the different planets and giving him eventually a limited perspective of what happened from Episode VI to Episode VII.

Strange Brigade is Rebellion’s attempt to develop something new, an action third-person shooter that makes playability and fun its principal objectives. Though the game is a fun and light experience, it should be played not too many times in a row because of the confusion that sometimes affects the on-screen action. It’s a game developed with professionalism and a generous amount of inspiration, and it could be a good way to pass these last summer days or to begin with the TPS world.

MotoGP 17 is the last chapter of the historical motorbike simulation series created by Milestone. This year title is full of official contents and enriched by a nice Manager Modality, offering to the fans lots of hours of fun. With a solid gameplay and old-gen graphics (that is becoming every year more annoying), it’s a game suggested only to great fans of motor sports, especially with strong sales. For the others, better to wait for the switch of graphic engine, that is finally next to come.

An interesting experiment in online shooting, dedicated to hardcore genre fans, possibly with premade groups to enjoy it with. All the others should at least try before buying.

Exit the Gungeon is a good game with roguelike and shooter features, realized in a inspirate bidimensional setting. Dodge Roll created a title challenging enough to give hours of fun in front of the display.

Déraciné is one of the best exponents of traditional video games on PlayStation VR, for the artistic work done by From Software and Japan Studio, and is recommended to those who are already familiar with smaller games and want a "complete" title to savor in virtual reality.

Capcom has chosen to make this sequel a cooperative action game, and the result is undoubtedly solid. Playing the main campaign with three friends can give a lot of satisfaction and the boss fights are simply awesome. Unfortunately playing solo you will find a lacking friend AI. Good graphics and a competitive multiplayer mode complete the nice offer of Lost Planet 2.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World is a good JRPG. Fans of the last chapter, developed for the Gamecube, and more generally of the genre, will certainly like it, and ignore the many flaws. Especially the recycling of characters from the past episodes and the numerous recalls to the saga, strongly limit the title, especially for the western market.

Yooka-Laylee is a love letter to 3D platformer of twenty years ago. It is everything a fan of the best RARE works can expect, the real Banjoo-Kazooie spiritual successor. Despite some camera issues and the not so smooth controls, it deserves your attention.

Eternights may not be a game-changer for the genre, but it still offers a solid experience, thanks to a strong cast of characters and an engaging gameplay, especially in its dating sim aspect. It caters to a very specific audience and will likely thrive within its niche; however, if you have even a remote interest in this genre, we recommend giving it a chance: you won't regret it.

Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut is a good space shooter and will appeal those who twenty years ago loved Wing Commander and X-Wing. It certainly does not reach the same quality levels, but the new missions are interesting and the graphics, despite some loss of tone, are not bad at all.

Infinite Crisis is a nice MOBA game who can count on the greatest license, with some of the most famous Super Heroes and Villains in the world, despite its gameplay user friendly and so less competitive and tactical. Infinite Crisis isn't the best game ever for competitive players, but it's the best choice for the players who love DC Comic books and now they have a funny way to play their beloved characters.

There's a lot of improvement in this chapter, where handling, phisics and AI deliver a lot more than last year. It's still a shame for the overall big lack of polish, something that still keeps the saga away from higher scores.
