Tom Clancy's Endwar is an innovative RTS, suitable both for the genre-fan and the newbie. The gameplay is slightly more action than usual, and the closer look to the battlefield could disappoint the strategy purists, but vocal commands and great visuals make this game a must-try.

Looking at the name of the developers, of the person in charge for the soundtrack and of the games from which Exist Archive draws inspiration, it's hard not to be disappointed because this is just a "good" game and nothing more. The combat system is frantic and well done, but the bland level design and the repetitiveness both drag down the final result.

Even though it won't go down as the masterpiece it takes inspiration from, Lost Sphear will give longtime JRPG fans all they can ask for, such as a fast and enjoyable combat system and a huge degree of customization. If you don't expect anything groundbreaking, give it a chance.

With Squids Odyssey, Nintendo earns a sort of Angry Birds with a RPG taste, adding an arrow to the bow of its eShop. While the game is not perfect. you won't find anything similar on the other next gen consoles.

This Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream is likely among the best titles dedicated to the series released in recent years, though it’s fair to say the bar was set quite low. Die-hard fans of the series will love the opportunity to experience a story that brings together all the main characters and to control a substantial number of them—twenty-one in total. However, the game also has several flaws, with repetitive missions featuring basic objectives and a combat system that settles for mere adequacy. Despite these issues, the multiplayer mode is enjoyable, especially thanks to boss fights that can be tackled by up to 20 players, turning the experience into a vibrant display of explosions and colors. Unfortunately, once the single-player campaign is completed and players delve into the game’s online component, the content runs out too quickly, leaving an endgame that feels sparse and underdeveloped. It’s a real shame for a game that had strong potential on the multiplayer side.

Daedalic's first time in the world of RPG is one of those to remember. Blackguards is not a flawless game: it has a slow gameplay that after hours and hours can be boring, technically it is not that great and has an annoying problem of balancing the difficulty. Yet it remains a great role-playing game.

A decent DLC, that offers a new character whose combo potential and gameplay is as spectacular as that of the main protagonist. Pity it's a bit too short, and doesn't really offer any original content.

Saviors of Uldum feels more like a complement to Rise of Shadows than a full fledged expansion, but it still a worthy addition to the Hearthstone metagame. Now we only hope the next (and last for 2019) will be far heavier.

NBA 2K24 is, at least on consoles, an interesting product. It's a good installment that introduces some quite appreciated innovations. The gameplay system is perhaps one of the best we've seen over the years, the in-game difficulty matches the chosen level, player control has improved, and the same goes for the AI. Unfortunately, as always, there are microtransactions that make the experience not affordable for everyone and, often, a bit frustrating. Continuously having to pay is not exactly a strong point for a title that is already paid. But in terms of content we're good, with plenty of choices and good variety for everyone, with some gameplay improvements. It's a shame for the PC version that doesn't reflect at all what has been said. Several features are missing, and you don't even remotely feel the "next-gen improvement." Once again, it's unacceptable that a fully capable platform ends up with an incomplete product sold at a nearly identical price to its "complete version."

Starblood Arena is surprisingly good. It manages to solve motion sickness problems with some clever game design and it offers at the same time a nice and engaging overall experience. The game has plenty of content and we found it very polished and well designed. It is likely among the best VR games out there at the moment.

Football Manager 26 is a new revolutionary beginning for the most important managerial saga in the panorama of football titles. An ambitious project that took the right time to bring freshness to a formula that, however valuable, required a more decisive turn. So many improvements that will delight long-time fans, trying to attract even new recruits, while a little regret remains for some technical issues that dirty an overall extremely satisfying experience.

Midnight Murder Club feels like one of those games that had the right idea but the wrong execution. The concept of using darkness as a gameplay mechanic is intriguing, but it’s as if the developers turned on the flashlight, showed a glimpse of its potential, and then immediately switched it off again, leaving us wandering through a huge, empty mansion.

Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is far from a perfect game, with some noticeable issues in pacing and in how it handles several key choices. While the technical side isn’t particularly impressive and the experience is marred by a number of non-negligible flaws, it still manages to stand out thanks to its strong sense of identity and internal consistency, offering a solid experience—especially for fans of the Providence author. It may not be the best game inspired by H. P. Lovecraft, but it leaves behind a lingering sense of unease, which is perhaps the most authentic achievement a work inspired by the Master can hope to attain.
