Around 3 years ago, Street Fighter X Tekken would have been the messiah of the fighting game genre. Now though, the competition is good. Extremely good, and this title doesn't have enough contents to be the true King of virtual combat. Even if the gameplay is pretty great, the game had just one thing that could have made it better than its adversaries, the roster. All those great characters alone could have made this a must buy, and Capcom decided to cut 12 fighters from it (already on the disc) to sell em as DLC. What an incredible waste.

Despite the bad graphics and the trite storyline, I Am Alive manages to surprise with rich gameplay and a pure survival experience. The player will find himself surrounded by a dusty doomsday scenario, forced to survive by using only his climbing gear, an almost empty gun and, last but not least, a sharp machete. At a quite low price, the game offers about five hours of good old entertainment and, unless you are detractors of the genre, you should give this latest little gem of digital delivery a chance.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare is a great arcade title, a spin-off that lets us know Alan Wake a little more despite the presence of a not-very-compelling storyline. Both graphics and sound meet the high expectations, while the presence of a "Horde" mode is useful to spend a few hours of fun even after the conclusion of the main story. Although it may be a discreet strategic/tactical game Jagged Alliance: Back in Action is nearly completely different from Jagged Alliance 2. The encounters with enemies are no longer turn-based, but instead there's a real-time approach sided by a new Plan & Go system. With it you can plan the next actions of the mercenaries that we control, a feature that prompts us to reflect and study the battlefield as you'd expect from a title like that. On the other hand, because of the ridiculous AI and general inferiority when compared to Jagged Alliance 2, Back in Action is just a mediocre title and not the remake that could've been.
