Red Dead Redemption 2 is Rockstar's greatest game to date. It's also their most mature game in every aspect: technical, narrative and playable. Its slow pace may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you're patient, the reward is the most lively and thrilling world we've ever had in a videogame, in which everything is seamlessly integrated.

Celeste is ... like heaven. The level design is fantastic, artistically takes your breath away and playability is perfect. It's highly complicated, especially after the first round, but very satisfying. Celeste itself explains why "indie games" exist.

Gears 5 is the best Gears of War to date, with a proposal that has been supported by 5 equally treated game modes with lots of content. The campaign is spectacular, emotional and fun to play while each multiplayer mode (cooperative or versus) has its own nuances and provides a different proposal. This is one of the best games of 2019.

Pentiment is a complex medieval thriller, where mystery is as important as themes like love, death, passing of time and weight of our choices. Obsidian Entertainment excels in Pentiment, showing us what they can do creating powerful narrative, characters and story. Undoubtedly a GOTY contestant.

Psychonauts 2 is one of the best 3D platformers that I have ever played. It is a game that exudes charisma and personality on all sides and that raises the bar to an even higher level than its first part. It has a gameplay and story that hooks you from the first minute and that together with its graphic, sound and spectacular performance, it becomes a serious candidate for GOTY.

Undertale is still an innovative and refreshing videogame, with a hidden depth within a fake simplicity that it's communicated in a very effective way thanks to the gameplay. With its particular way to destroy the fourth wall, Undertale makes us the main character in a creepy but incredible way and makes us see that our decisions truly have consequences. Six years later, Toby Fox's masterpiece keeps being a must-be for any player and its release on Xbox One is, without a doubt, something to celebrate.

Forza Horizon 5 is the leap to the new generation of Xbox. Playground Games has been able to improve an almost unbeatable experience, with an exquisite localization and gameplay, which manages to offer a level of immersion rarely seen before in the open world driving genre.

Turn10 Studios brings us what is undoubtedly the king of simulation. A light simulation, or "simcade" as many nickname it, but certainly an intermediate point that achieves the greatest of virtues, balancing in the balance the requirement of the simulators and the immediacy of the arcades, leaving to the consumer the configuration which you prefer as far as simulation is concerned.

Forza Horizon 4 is the best game of the saga. With almost perfect gameplay and a variety of events that are distributed by a huge map. We will spend many hours driving in the UK and we will not get tired. Arcade driving for all audiences.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is the game that Xbox has been looking for for so long. A masterpiece on par with its predecessor that shines through its sound, its graphics and a memorable performance by Melina Juergens. A candidate for Game of the Year.

Halo Infinite is the best game from 343 Industries, and probably the best game of the Master Chief: an epic journey, full of emotion, joy, and, of course, a marvelous soundtrack that make us connect with our beloved Master Chief and his new companions. Everyone who loves Halo, must play Halo Infinite.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a role-playing game that recreates the world of Dungeons & Dragons in a fascinating virtual universe with infinite possibilities. The game has a great graphical quality, an immersive plot and many options for the player. Although it can be difficult at first, the game becomes more fun and addictive as you progress. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a game that every role-playing fan should try, as it will become an unforgettable benchmark in the genre.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is a technical masterpiece that combines the power of the Xbox Series X with the cloud technology and artificial intelligence to create a simulator that is suitable for both casual and hardcore gamers.

Metaphor ReFantazio stands out as a next-generation RPG, combining elements from previous ATLUS games without losing its own identity. With a variety of mechanics and missions that invite continuous exploration, and a majestic soundtrack by Shoji Meguro, this game promises to be one of the best JRPGs of the year, rivaling Persona 3 Reload. Long awaited masterpiece Chrono Cross is back, and the HD remaster done by Square-Enix fit perfectly as an ode to the series started in 1995 with Chrono Trigger. Now with the sequel-spin-off Radical Dreamers for the first time released across the world and finally translated, The Radical Dreamers Edition does and outstanding job reminding us how epic was Chrono Cross back in 1999 and how it's still up to date in 2022 in terms of quality and gameplay. One of the best JRPG ever made with new 3D models, 2D redrawn work on HD and power-up buttons. Probably the best HD remaster from Square-Enix made to date. Not a single technical issue despite controversy across social media, we played 50+ hours on four different Xbox consoles, and even PS4, just to find out Switch and Steam ports are the ones having real trouble on framerate and delay, not on Xbox nor PS4.

Starfield is one of the best games of the year (which is no small feat in this fantastic 2023) and one of the best games in Xbox history. Bethesda has created an era-defining game that will set an example for other studios to follow as they embark on their own journey into space.

Divinity Original Sin 2 has everything necessary to become a modern classic. It's one of the greatest exponents of the traditional RPG games that we can find today on the market. If we allow ourselves to be seduced by its history, its rich conversational system and its complex combat, we will be captivated by a title that offers endless hours of play to discover all the secrets of a magical medieval fantasy world.

Capcom has done an incredible job with Resident Evil 2 remake. Gameplay is smooth and characters are realistic. Story changes feel like Resident Evil 2 is the same as always, but also something completely new. It's about time a survival horror game wins Game of The Year. And Resident Evil 2 deserves the title.

It's obvious that this is not a samurai skin over a Dark Souls game. It's more than that. It's a new rebirth that will delight Miyazaki-san followers and that will only be mastered by those who display their utmost skill and patience. It's a game that really penalizes mistakes. A game where you have to learn the behaviour of the enemies you face and be constantly adapting to take on the next challenge. And of course it's a very difficult game, a very big one.

Balatro is as good as Slay the Spire was. It's a roguelike deckbuilder, but beginning from a poker deck. The concept is both original and fun. Its modifier cards offer almost unlimited possibilities, making each run unique in its own way. Balatro gives you hours and hours of entertaining and we can just wait for new content in the future. One of the best games of the year so far.

Stardew Valley is an unique game. At the first time, it's looks like a pixelated Harvest Moon, but is more complicated than that. Is a reality that you don't want to escape.

Lies of P is an incredible game that takes the successful FromSoftware formula, used in titles like Dark Souls and Sekiro, to offer an exciting adventure like no other that only the Neowiz team knows how to offer. Both technically and mechanically, Lies of P manages to surprise for the better, and all accompanied by attention to detail in sound, resulting in one of the best games of the year.

Vampire Survivors combines simplicity with depth. Its roguelite component gives it excitement and a constant sense of novelty. One of the best games of the year.
