    features:

    * Killing is unnecessary: negotiate out of danger using the unique battle system.
    * Time your attacks for extra damage, then dodge enemy attacks in a style reminiscent of top-down shooters.
    * Original art and soundtrack brimming with personality.
    * Soulful, character-rich story with an emphasis on humor.
    * Created mostly by one person.
    * Become friends with all of the bosses!
    * At least 5 dogs.
    * You can date a skeleton.
    * Hmmm... now there are 6 dogs...?
    * Maybe you won't want to date the skeleton.
    * I thought I found a 7th dog, but it was actually just the 3rd dog.
    * If you play this game, can you count the dogs for me...? I'm not good at it.

From its charismatic characters and stupendous story to its meaningful gameplay and incredible soundtrack, Undertale on Xbox is a titanic accomplishment that not only ignores the ideas of what makes a video game, but redefines them.

Undertale is still an innovative and refreshing videogame, with a hidden depth within a fake simplicity that it's communicated in a very effective way thanks to the gameplay. With its particular way to destroy the fourth wall, Undertale makes us the main character in a creepy but incredible way and makes us see that our decisions truly have consequences. Six years later, Toby Fox's masterpiece keeps being a must-be for any player and its release on Xbox One is, without a doubt, something to celebrate.

An RPG that proved that different games could be a huge success. Undertale manages to retain all the charm that made it special long ago, with a deep lore and a unique way of handling thing that will keep you playing until the end.

The game makes you feel genuinely bad for killing monsters, and all for an extremely cheap 15 dollars and free with game pass, this is a steal and is worth your time, so what are you doing reading reviews for this game, go and get it already! The good:
Undertale came to Xbox. It is a turn-based RPG game with Bullet-Hell mechanics. The characters have a lot of charisma. Enemies with a lot of charisma. The story is scattered across the map. Funny and humorous dialogues. Easy achievements (you can get the 1000G out of it without seeing all the content or all the possibilities). If you like chiptune, his songs are very catchy. The Temmies (and Bob) come out. The room "Canine Temple" is special for the Xbox version (in fact it clears the mess that occurred in that room in previous versions) you can decorate it with a console and a Kinect parody. (For now) It's on Xbox Game Pass

    The bad:
The story "Speed run" is very easy (Minus the final bosses). There is no way to save several games to go modifying and seeing the multiple possibilities, the game overwrites the file and there is no way to experiment unless you crash or start a new game. Easy achievements but ... it's 160G of achievements totally dependent on luck and randomness (one slot machine). Another 360G money donations you win on the slot machine that depends on previous achievements.

    Meh it!
If yours is a ‘lot of text’, avoid it. If you hate pixelated graphics, avoid it. If you hate turn-based RPGs avoid it. If you don't like meta-references, puns, and simple jokes, avoid it. If you hate Bullet-Hell or ship games, avoid it. The ‘Fun value’ will now be totally random, there is no possibility of seeing some things unless you are very lucky. As it does not have a Windows interface, it is not possible to fiddle with the files to do certain things in the game or to see the secrets. Even after so many years it is still a meme factory

Even amongst other indie games, it showcases a level of creativity and unpredictability hard to find elsewhere. It persistently subverts your expectations, until your confused and a little exhausted. But your invested in the characters, the narrative, and your determined to see out the conclusion of whatever weird journey your on. I honestly think the best part about Undertale is the soundtrack. I really hated some of the bosses it pits you against, and i honestly think if it wasn't for the upbeat, enthusiastic music, i might have given up at points.

Here comes my problem with the game then, it's gameplay is naff, boring and has a difficulty scale that's so up and down it made me feel a little sick. I realise the game wants to be unpredictable, vary it's gameplay, difficult when you don't expect it. However, all of the tedious walking, in, let's face it, ugly environments, and the strangely easy puzzles, result in a game that feels disjointed, unbalanced, at times, frustrating.

As a whole though, Undertale is brilliant.

The story is boring, and while it implies that it's leading up to a twist said twist never actually happens. The characters are either bland and two-dimensional or so in-your-face annoying that it made me want to stop playing. The music and sound effects were fine, but nothing special. The combat was unique, but it quickly turned into a bullet-hell game, which I'm not a huge fan of, causing the combat to lose any of the charm that it might have otherwise had.

The only positive I can say about the game is a minor one in that it offered the Mercy system (a way to spare enemies rather than killing them). At first glance, this seemed like a really cool feature, but in the end, it was just a different name for a skill system like so many other games. In both systems you end up having to memorize what works for each type of enemy and what doesn't, so it doesn't really matter if you want to call that menu option Fireball or Hug.

Maybe without the hype I'd heard about this game since day one I would have enjoyed it more, but as is it was a complete waste of my time and I will definitely never be going back to see the different endings.
