Skulls of the Shogun is too air-headed to be hailed as the RTS masterpiece of all times, but a great game nonetheless.- Riot Pixels

There is no better RTS game dedicated to modern military conflicts than Wargame, and this expansion is yet another proof of that.- Riot Pixels

A good remake of the introductory part of the cult-favorite Final Fantasy VII. It improves on the original game in almost all aspects, yet lacks in scale and drops the ball at the very end.- Riot Pixels

Despite a ton of cliches, the story, the characters and the world of Tales of Vesperia have stood the test of time. The narrative is single, but well-structured and at times riveting, which means a lot in a JRPG.- Riot Pixels

Aftermath marks the passing of the MK X/11 era and cleans the stage for the next game in the series. Good multiplayer, robust framerate, deep tutorial, exciting story and gameplay… MK 12 will have to aim very high to clear that bar.- Riot Pixels

On the surface, Hollow Knight looks like a simple game that heavily borrows from ages old retro cliches, but this is a beautiful, epic adventure.- Riot Pixels

You can almost feel all these awesome miniature world in your hands and even twist and turn some of them, like a Rubik’s cube. Sure, bosses are way too easy, and our enemies are childishly naive, but that’s why they don’t distract you from the main course — well-designed puzzles.- Riot Pixels

A beautiful nightmare, cozy and purple like A-minor. It's definitely the best Kafka-based game of this spring.- Riot Pixels

Story-wise, the Banner Saga 2 is not a stand-alone installment; it’s just a few chapters of a riveting book that end on a cliffhanger. It is definitely worth buying, but don’t play it just yet, and wait for the final part.- Riot Pixels

IO Interactive finished its trilogy with a great finale, and this episode is the best of three, tying up the epic World of Assassination series in a beautiful bow.- Riot Pixels

Day of the Tentacle did not age at all. It looks and plays as if they made it just yesterday. Thanks to Double Fine, we can once again enjoy a good adventure game, which, despite some flaws, is leaps and bounds better than many recent offerings in the genre.- Riot Pixels

The only thing Duels of the Planeswalkers lacks is, I think, a draft mode, because Hearthstone already has its Arena. And, naturally, they must bring back the Two-Headed Giant. Aside from that, Magic 2015 is really good, truly a second wind for the series.- Riot Pixels

BattleBlock Theater is not original and it’s not ashamed of that. It’s everyone else that should be ashamed and green with envy that they couldn’t make such a fun game.- Riot Pixels

Dontnod made a couple of major mistakes developing Vampyr, but the game still deserves your attention. Its unique concept, impressive variability and gloomy London with its doomed inhabitants will make it worth your while.- Riot Pixels

Owners of the PC version are faced with a difficult choice — either wait for the promised online multiplayer and enjoy the fact that it is a decent port of an excellent fighting game, or berate Team Ninja that Last Round lacks some odd features.- Riot Pixels

It’s evolution, not revolution. By building upon a mass of ideas accumulated since Rome 2, Total War: Three Kingdoms creates the most compelling strategic mode in years. All that’s left to do now is fix battles…- Riot Pixels

The Sealed Play mode is quite cynical in its attempt to squeeze more money from players, but then again, the entire Magic: The Gathering franchise is built on that concept. Plus, Magic 2014 will consume you even if you choose not to pay for additional slots – it is still a brilliant game, after all.- Riot Pixels

Nantucket is a generator of amazing tales, the likes of which people usually tell by the fireside while sipping hot mulled wine. Low budget and a couple of glaring mistakes are the only things that deny it greatness.- Riot Pixels

There are two almost independent episodes living under one name. The first one is a beautiful, smart, exciting adventure game that is pure happiness, though it is short and without an ending. The second part is… Well, simply ignore it. Repeat after me: you do not need to play Part Two.- Riot Pixels
