Omensight has a great premise and incredibly well designed visuals. The combat isn't as responsive as I'd like and the repetition with regards to environments can start to drag but the story, characters and presentation will keep you playing through to the end.- PlayStation Country

8-Bit Armies is an enjoyable RTS that will appeal to genre newbies and fans of the old Command and Conquer games but it could do with a bit more variation and the lack of a story takes away from the game's personality a bit.- PlayStation Country

Anyone looking to revisit the Top Racer series will have a blast with this collection. The racing remains fluid and engrossing. Having all three games here means players can see how the series evolved over time, although Top Racer Crossroads feels more like tweak on existing content rather than something wholly new. Online multiplayer is a welcome addition whilst autosaves and save states makes individual races easier to repeat. I don't think the new menus combine well with the older graphics but the effort that's gone into this product is pretty commendable.- PlayStation Country

Everdream Valley delivers on its promise of an open-ended farming experience. As bright and cheery as it looks, not everything is as polished as the cute, rotund animals. I find objectives aren't always clearly marked which leads me to question if there's more fatal problems lurking. The merchant does offer some expensive shortcuts to completing quests but, for the most part, I'm enjoying the cosy adventure on offer. It could be more direct in some circumstances but is a decent effort.- PlayStation Country

It's not really a sequel but as an update to 2021's title, R-Type Final 3 adds plenty of content. It's still tough, confusing and has far too much purchasable DLC but the seven new levels and slight graphical upgrade are welcome and hopefully the planned multiplayer features will bring something worthwhile to the party too.- PlayStation Country

This War of Mine: Final Cut offers more content than previous versions and creates some powerful narratives. Runs tend to play out in a similar fashion despite the variables on offer but it's certainly worth experiencing.- PlayStation Country

Attack on Titan 2 maintains the pacing problems with a plot retreading the narrative of the original. Persist with this and you see game with a compelling progression and reward system. Combat and movement is satisfying even if it is let down a little by the mission structure. It builds on its predecessor gradually but there's a lot here to entice fans and newcomers.- PlayStation Country

A well done story-driven indie game in the classic JRPG style. Worth seeing out rather than skipping through.- PlayStation Country

Formula Retro Racing: World Tour is a lovely nostalgia-filled throwback to the hoary days of 90s arcade driving games such as Daytona and Ridge Racer. It largely succeeds on that front and that it’s largely coded by a one man dev team is pretty remarkable. Sure, there’s a few rough edges and the music is largely forgettable, but this is still pretty good.- PlayStation Country

Whether you're coming to Destroy All Humans 2!: Reprobed fresh or as a fan of the original release, there's a lot to like about this package. The work that's gone into remaking the game's locales and assets has been really well done. Whilst it can definitely feel like a game showing its age, the writing remains funny and the gameplay is fun. Multiplayer is hampered by keeping it local and I do find the boss fights go against the game's brisk pace. Still, it's a surprise to me that this can hold up after so long.- PlayStation Country

Dungeon Punks is an enjoyable hack and loot take on Golden Axe and other 2D brawlers. The difficulty will spike on you a little too much and it’s not much fun to play alone but if you can get a friend over, this is a pretty enjoyable game.- PlayStation Country

Stellatum ends up being a very dynamic and surprising deep hybrid of twin-stick and vertically-scrolling shoot 'em ups but it does take a while to get into gear and those early hours may put off some players before the action ramps up. Stick with it though because there's a very good game in here.- PlayStation Country

As an annual sports title, it can be hard to judge whether this is the year for newcomers to jump in. MotoGP 23 has a truly engrossing handling model that does emphasise every twitch from the beast you're riding. The racing is competitive and the career mode can still remain compelling, even if I feel the some of the new additions are a bit superfluous. Veterans should feel right at home and the Neural AI does present a comfortable way for newcomers to enter, even if I do consider it too intrusive, at times.- PlayStation Country

Cats and Seek: Dino Park is a cute hidden object game, improving on its predecessors with cat bios and the handy meows when you’re down to the last ten cats in a level. We only wish for more than five levels and perhaps a time trial mode with associated trophies to give a little more challenge.- PlayStation Country

This collection of classic arcade shoot 'em ups really just boils down to three unique games and while each one is well-presented here and offers some great old-school action, the asking price for this compilation seems a bit much, especially when it isn't the complete collection that it pretends to be.- PlayStation Country

Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea changes the formula for the better but still hasn’t got the ingredients quite right. With the time limit gone the other elements have space to breathe but the story and characters are weak meaning the driving force is reliant on the gameplay which thankfully is varied and enjoyable.- PlayStation Country

Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition is a rich collection of the role-playing classic. There are hundreds of hours of fun at your disposal but it's saddled with technical issues that are impossible to ignore. Vigilant players will need to save often and have high tolerance for such problems. It stays faithful to the original assets in a way purists might enjoy but some more quality of life and graphical improvements would've been welcomed. As a newcomer, I rate this highly but veterans won't find much new here.- PlayStation Country

Jet Set Knights is a modern take on the old 2D one-screen platformer genre and throws a few ideas at it. Some of those ideas work, some need fleshing out but overall this is a game that is cheap, playable and enjoyable.- PlayStation Country

There are a lot of twin-stick shooters out there but Laser Disco Defenders manages to stand out thanks to a clever game mechanic where your bullets start to add to your problems. Add in the funky '70s vibe and this ends up being an enjoyable, if averagely-produced, way to fling a few bullets around.- PlayStation Country

Dark Nights with Poe and Munro is a well crafted FMV story with branching plotlines. Well acted and scripted with it and great value for six distinct episodes into the bargain. Well worth spending a few evenings with.- PlayStation Country

Whilst the story is compelling with plenty of facets to dig into, the pacing and combat felt a little tiresome. Great characters and presentation become mired in an experience that could’ve been tighter. Get Even is worth a look for a strong, narrative adventure with some interesting hooks, if you can stomach the uneven pacing.- PlayStation Country

Inferno 2 does a good job of taking a mobile gaming favourite and making it feel like a substantial console shooter. It's fun to play and quite exciting but concerns over the lack of difficulty and variety do take the shine off a bit but for this price, we're not complaining.- PlayStation Country

Eventide 2: Sorcerers Mirror is a decent light puzzle and story game which sticks very much to the formula Artifex Mundi follow with each release. Interestingly though there is some welcome innovation in the form of dialogue choices leading to slightly branching narrative paths. Once again this is easy to recommend to anyone looking for a light puzzle adventure game.- PlayStation Country

Orbital Bullet is certainly a sophisticated run and gunner with some excellent ideas and plenty of scope for good, tactical play but you have to play it a lot to make any real progress and that could make the game overstay its welcome.- PlayStation Country

Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin is a fun, bite sized package that once again brings back the brilliant voice acting and characters that made the original game so special. The two hour game length will be a sticker for some but it doesn’t outstay its welcome and gives us a cheeky morsel of the things to come in Psychonauts 2, which cannot come soon enough.- PlayStation Country

Redeemer: Enhanced Edition's an enjoyable effort with an admittedly short tail. Combat feels weighty with plenty of opportunities at hand. There's a swift pacing to proceedings and, whilst the waves of enemies can feel relentless, the encounters have a variety that keeps it from growing cold. It's a pity there isn't much after the credits roll and the environments devolve into industrial hallways. Still, it's worth a look.- PlayStation Country

While this is the shoot 'em up port we most wanted to see (alongside Gradius V at least), it's also such a straight, unambitious port that it doesn't really do justice to such a beloved game. Sure, the original magic is still there but they've done very little to enhance or modernise it, beyond a quick and dirty upscale.- PlayStation Country

Game Tengoku is a far cry from the sort of beautiful, complex and detailed shoot 'em ups that represent the best in the genre but it's a well-considered port of one of the funniest, and most original, '90s arcade shooters and should be enjoyed with a smile as was clearly intended by the developers.- PlayStation Country
