Death Stranding 2 takes everything the original did and does it better. More polished, more focused, more ambitious and far easier to follow. It revitalizes the genre it helped pioneer in truly spectacular fashion. Its greatest and arguably only flaw is that it still isn’t for everyone, but this time, it broadens its appeal significantly. And if it resonates with you, there’s a good chance you won’t just like it - you’ll fall in love with it.

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is a fantastic PC port. The optimization is great, and it works well on a variety of PC configurations. With multiple graphical enhancements and AI upscaling, this game plays best on PC. DualSense is also fully integrated and will use all the features the PS5 has to offer, just a bit better. Oh, yeah, and the game is amazing as well!

Infinite Wealth is RGG Studio’s magnum opus. With a vast environment to explore and a few whole games embedded into its core, it’s definitely the best title in the series. It’s fun, silly and beautiful while still being an emotional send-off to Kiryu and his unforgettable adventure.

Resident Evil Requiem blends the best elements of survival horror and action. With stunningly detailed environments, realistic lighting and a gripping story, the game makes for one of the most immersive entries the series has to offer. Some traditional features are absent, but it remains a standout entry.

Not a Falcon but a Nostalgia Punch. The mix of modern and old code and slight tweaks to the original make this an amazing remaster. Old and new skating fans should not miss out on this game.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a beautiful open world action adventure with some light RPG elements. It has a good and interesting story in addition to excellent hunting mechanics, but there's also a lack of character diversity and personalities.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is an epic medieval RPG that excels in immersion, both in its narrative and historical setting. Sometimes the former two hold it back from being the best RPG of the year. The game is a slave to its mechanics and systems, some of which feel tedious and slow, and the combat is, at least for me, punishing and clumsy – as if I’m awkwardly puppeteering Henry from behind, flailing his arms in battle. But nothing a bit of modding did not fix.

It's not often that we see a one-man project leave such an impact on the gaming community, collectively putting us into the "just one more turn/day" mindset, but Stardew Valley manages it in a spectacular way.

The original The Last of Us will always be my favourite PlayStation game. The narrative is amazing, the relationship between Joel and Ellie is wholesome and it all culminates into a satisfying story that will bring tears to your eyes. However, I do not recommend the remake. Even though there are extensive graphical enhancements, 60FPS support, DualSense support and a variety of accessibility options, none of this justifies the admission price. And, above all, there was really no need for this remake, the original is perfect as it is and available on PS Plus. Skip it and wait for a fat discount if you are keen to try it.

In an age of small DLCs to see a full old school expansion is a really refreshing sight. War of the Chosen enriches the original experience on a whole new level and it's a must for fans of the XCOM series.

Monster Hunter Wilds might be the first game in the series to truly hook you. It feels genuinely alive, thanks to its dynamic ecosystems and stunning environments that offer an organic and immersive experience - one we highly recommend.

A wonderful game that shares its weird, bittersweet story with the player in a most creative and lively way any walking simulator ever did. A storytelling marvel.

Meet the Prince of Metroidvania. The recipe for this genre is so well perfected that a studio like Ubisoft can't possibly make something bad out of it. All jokes aside, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is extremely fun and visually flawless, with its beautiful environments, action-packed battles and challenging platforming puzzles. All in all, a perfect example of an amazing Metroidvania title.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a controversial game, and it is truly not for everyone. On the other hand, it is so revolutionary compared to its predecessor, especially in this day and age, that it would be an easy GOTY contender if CAPCOM just showed a bit more leniency and knowledge of its audience. Unnecessary microtransactions and despicable optimization followed by few weird design choices hinders this release, that below all of the fuzz and stupidity hides a masterfully crafted world, with a fine narrative and remarkable combat that is unique and interesting with every step of its long journey.

Nier: Automata manages to capture all of the qualities that PlatinumGames is known for, and delivers them out of nowhere, all at once, with a package of superb sounds, visuals and storyline. Never have we been more excited about slashing through hordes of mechanical foes, while being a sexy female android, more than we are now. Don't miss it.

If there is one title that feels like it beckons the start of the next-gen era, it is undoubtedly this game. Its flawless presentation and beautiful graphics may be polluted by a glitch or two along the way, but nonetheless, it is an amazing experience that just can't be recommended enough.

With FINAL FANTASY TACTICS – The Ivalice Chronicles, Square Enix once again proves that a great remaster can both modernize and honor an original’s legacy. It’s a careful balance of fresh updates and deep respect for longtime fans and newcomers alike. The addition of full voice acting alone makes The Ivalice Chronicles worth revisiting — even for those who’ve already experienced every previous entry.

When the game manages to get on your nerves with its difficulty, but you still come back to it and spend every minute of your time thinking about how to improve your strategies, that's when you know it is a real gem and you are hooked up. And that is, exactly, the case with XCOM 2.

If you loved the original, grab this sequel that is superior in almost every aspect. Graphics, audio, story and overall narrative as well as amazing location variety are this game’s strongest points. The presence of clunky combat, controls and a number of bugs will make it harder for newcomers to experience Horizon Forbidden West. Yet what can’t be denied is the fact it’s not an „everyday title“, and as such is not for everyone.

Mullet Madjack is a simple but fun and frantic FPS with a great stylized approach and engaging gameplay. The game has retrofuture anime vibes that come with great music and atmosphere. It might not blow you away, but it will give you an opportunity to play as a power fantasy 80s movie action hero. Who could say no to that?

If you've wanted to try out a Monster Hunter game but were always discouraged by its complexity and systems, here's a title that might change your mind. With tweaked pacing and mechanics, Monster Hunter Rise feels more accessible than ever, yet it loses next to none of its complexity that the veterans of the series cherish so dearly. For newcomers and returning players, this is the title to rise above all others.
