The new Driver is something that has been long in the making. The result is quite good, despite the surprisingly tight difficulty level. Soul shifting is a nice innovation and the arcadish feel for cars makes it fun to push through the tight streets of San Francisco. [Sept 2011]

This Lego adaptation is by far the best block adventure yet to come. Although the game still suffers from the trademark issues of Traveller's Tales, the package is a solid adventure. The Middle Earth is available for roaming, the levels are constructed with care and the overall feel of the game is excellent. [Jan 2013]

Motion Plus tech demo lacks the depth of the real game. Non-gamers loves this though, and you can have a lot of fun with it, if your friends are stupid, drunk or both. [July 2009]

What, no French revolution? For Europeans, birth of the United States is not really very interesting time nor environment. And after Ezio (or Haytham Kenway), Connor is bland, irritating protagonist. Game is also full of chores that add very little to the experience. [Jan 2013]

Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours is a traditional and pretty shoot ‘em up with huge amount of levels, really wide screen and 4-player multiplayer mode. [Apr 2016]

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena gets stuck in one gear for too long. Even though the game has many same aspects as the great Escape from Butcher Bay, the pacing is bad and the action forces you to run through the same corridors over and over again. The included Escape from Butcher Bay is still a masterpiece, however. [Mar 2009]

Sid Meier's Ace Patrol has a good air combat setup, gameplay is simple but fun. Feels a lot of like boardgame Wings of Glory. There is no point of buying other nations, though. Only thing changes is the paint on your planes. [June 2013]

A run-of-the-mill real-time strategy that is saved by its story driven campaign mode. Next time, some actual strategy, too, please. [Sept. 05]

A beautiful role-playing adventure with an above-average plot and some novel ideas. The otherwise interesting combat system relies a bit too much on luck, but overall Baten Kaitos is definitely one of GameCube's top adventures. [May. 05]

At the price of one game, you get the wonderfully weird single-player campaign of Darwinia and the multiplayer mayhem of Multiwinia. Add to this the unique retro-style presentation and you’ve got a title that is highly recommended. [Apr 2010]

The purity and realism of Elite: Dangerous might be a bit too much for newcomers, but a person willing to learn the ropes and grind away for better ships will eventually be rewarded with a terrific sci-fi experience.

Pokémon Black and White 2 are the best Pokémon games thus far. The amount of activities you can participate in is delightful, the storyline surprisingly engaging, and the new gym design fun. The biggest complaint stems from the horrible implementation of new difficulty levels. I loved the idea of having a harder difficulty for my quest, but implementing it only in one game of the pair, and even then unlocking it after I've actually played through the game, is simply old fashioned and bad game design. Succeeds in its near impossible task and actually improves on the almost perfect Skate 2. Difficulty levels, changes in challenge structure and the new cityscape are all just golden, and while the improvements are rather minor, they're enough to make Skate 3 the new king of skateboarding games. If only the developers had had the strength to break free from their original vision and concentrate on what's really good in Brütal Legend. A lot fewer stage battles and a lot more reckless driving and action-packed smashing of heads. With a kickass soundtrack. That's what this game should have been about. Unfortunately it's not. I wish it was, though. [Apr 2013]

Trine integrates physics in to a platformer and the result is beautiful, innovative and fun to play. Unfortunately the storyline is far from original and the slaying of enemy hordes isn't as fun as solving the puzzles. [July 2009]
