A very good 2D beat 'em up, where DC Comics's legendary superheroes and villains battle it out. The story explains why the wildly different characters are evenly matched, but it still feels a bit odd. [May 2013]

The best basketball game available. Off-Ball Control and the option to switch off the ball handler are great tools to work with on offensive play. However, new defensive controls are not that useful and the camerawork is simply awful. [Jan 2008]

Battlefield 4 could just as well be called Battlefield 3.5. The new Battlefield features are only marginal improvements over Battlefield 3, but even as such it leaves the competitors way behind. Hopefully the bugs will be squashed soon. [Nov 2013]

This little game is by far the most touching story ever told in game industry. Although the game mechanics are very simple, the story is truly something, that bigger players of the business should take a look at. This game brought tears to my eyes. It's truly magical. [Feb 2012]

Some will say "We have seen this before", which is true, but luckily Volition has taken the best parts from the GTA series and spiced them up. The result is immersive and fun to play. One of the best games on Xbox 360 so far. [Sept 2006]

Splatoon combines area controlling and shooting in equal measure. You don't have to splat a lot of opponents to be good at it, which is nice. A colourful and intense experience. [Aug 2015]

Real history can be a bit boring, so that's probably why Sunless Sea is set in an alternate world of 19th century where the city of London was transported underground by bats. The player is a steamship captain who must explore the vast underground sea, battle monsters and solve different types of quests. The writing and the atmosphere in the game is excellent, which is why I was really drawn into the events that were happening. It's a shame that the combat mechanics are oversimplified and simply not fun. The game is also too difficult for beginners. [May 2015]

Tearaway Unfolded is something for the whole family to enjoy. It's a child-friendly action-adventure with fantastic visuals. The game tries to take advantage on DualShock 4's special functions, but as a result, the controls can feel quite clunky at times. [Oct 2015]

TrackMania Turbo is an excellent time trial racer with huge amount of exotic tracks and high-flying physics. The local multiplayer options are very good, too. [May 2016]

More of a shooter than a platformer, which is a little surprising. The new weapons are not as hilarious as before, but everything rolls on smoothly. A great game with good variety in multiplayer options. [Dec 2005]

Lost in Nightmares brings back nice memories from past Resident Evil titles without the downsides, so why does it have to be so short? Other than that, a wonderful package full of intense co-op action. [Apr 2010]

A bizarre mix of serious topics and Tarantino-esque ultra-violence. For the first half the fast and furious shoot-outs are about as entertaining as first person shooters can get. Unfortunately, once the nazi-ranks start to fill up with bullet-sponge-y robots and cyborgs, the game quickly starts to lose it's appeal. Wolfenstein goes from being as fun as Doom to being as tedious as Doom 3. What a shame! [June 2014]

Dual Destinies' main plot falters a little and the simplified puzzles are a shame. DD might not rise to the brilliance of the earlier Ace Attorney games, but it's still a worthy and welcome addition to the series. [Jan 2014]

Lone Survivor has a great atmosphere that keeps getting more oppressive as the game goes on. At times there is too much running back and forth, but other than that it's a pure horror masterpiece. Just don't play it on a large monitor or the pixels will hurt your eyes. [Aug 2012]

Alien Isolation can be frustratingly difficult at times, but nevertheless it’s easily the best game in the Alien franchise since the original Aliens vs Predator. The fact that the game mimics perfectly the 1970s look and sci fi stylings of Ridley Scott’s Alien film makes the experience even more endearing. By featuring absurd number of “surprise” twists, Alien Isolation’s final act could’ve used some trimming. [Nov 2014]

Takes a normal fantasy world and turns it into a refreshingly interesting place. Geralt is an excellent main character. The story moves along nicely after the boring old amnesia start and there are lots of things to do. The only major setback is the unresponsive combat, which doesn't give enough feedback to the player about what's really happening and if the commands are accepted or not. [Nov 2007]

Kentucky Route Zero is basically a simple adventure game, but it's so achingly well put-together that it really becomes an experience like no other. Can't wait for the rest of the episodes! [May 2013]
