Nintendo really makes the most out of the bongos controller. A fun platform adventure. [Apr. 05]

A great tennis game despite the overly gimmicky special arenas and extra game modes. The AI plays too predictably, too. [Apr. 05]

Still clearly work in progress, but at least during the first 40 levels a very entertaining MMORPG. Hopefully Funcom can make their promises true. [June 2009]

Hover Junkers is the first proper FPS game on Vive that takes full advantage of its VR aspects by weaving physical movements into the gameplay. The feeling of immersion is taken to new heights when you actually have to aim your weapon and take cover as you would in real life. [Sept 2016]

A pretty good expansion which adds religion and espionage as new major features. Both of those expand the game in an interesting way, and in addition there's the usual add-on stuff of new nations, wonders and military units. [June 2012]

Watch Dogs has dull characters spewing agonizing dialogue, but gameplay-wise it gets most of its ingredients right. Even the simplified hacking feels like something new. [June 2014]

A pretty good expansion pack. The new Indian tribes are fun, since they all play differently. The campaign has improved somewhat now that the fictional mumbo jumbo events are finally removed. The Warchiefs is a traditional RTS but an enjoyable one. [Dec 2006]

A visual treat and pure arcade shooting fun. The missions are full of action and while you always end up saving the day, it certainly feels like there’s a war going around you. It’s a pity that the cutscenes are so full of phony melodrama and corny dialogue. [Nov 2007]

Bully: Scholarship Edition is not head of its class anymore, but fun and entertaining adventure nonetheless. The tried and true Grand Theft Auto thrown into a boarding school setting defends its place well on the newer consoles too, despite the age already apparent when the facelifted graphics of Xbox 360 version are compared to the new generation standards. But still, Rockstar's strong points have always been excellent characterization and captivating storyline on semi-open sandbox setting, and that Bully delivers very well. [May 2008]

Pokémon Black and White 2 are the best Pokémon games thus far. The amount of activities you can participate in is delightful, the storyline surprisingly engaging, and the new gym design fun. The biggest complaint stems from the horrible implementation of new difficulty levels. I loved the idea of having a harder difficulty for my quest, but implementing it only in one game of the pair, and even then unlocking it after I've actually played through the game, is simply old fashioned and bad game design. A quite good retro-themed and fast-paced gravity shoot ’em up. It doesn't take itself too seriously. Too bad there aren’t any multiplayer opponents around anymore. [Aug 2009]

Proves that tower defence is as much fun in reverse. There's slick gameplay, nice visuals and a nice balance of action and strategy on offer here. Silly dialogues and story aside, the only real fault of the game is that it doesn't have that many missions or units. [June 2011]

The third installment in the Ezio series offers more of the same than the two previous episodes, only with a different plot and some new minor tricks and stuff. The Altaïr-flashbacks with the protagonist of the first Assassin's Creed are great, Desmond's platformer memories not so much, but overall it's yet another fine action adventure that feels just a bit too familiar. Captures the essence of WWE wrestling very well and the extensive editing options offer interesting possibilities. As a game, however, it's burdened by frustrating controls and the fact that most of the matches are too long and boring to be truly fun to play. [Dec 2009]

Moai Better Blues is, as we’ve learnt to expect, a funny and witty Sam&Max adventure. The total change of environment makes the gameplay refreshing. The game’s not flawless, though. Some of the sidecharacters are a little bit boring and some of the jokes don’t hit the spot at all. But fear not, the game is still really enjoyable. [Feb 2008]

Dead Island is maybe rough around the edges, has things that could have been better and has some strange solutions to gaming mechanics, but really, who cares? The main thing, close combat with zombies on an open environment, is both exceptionally well done and most importantly, great fun. Even alone. In the land of blindingly pretty, but simplified tubeshooters the ugly zombie game is the king. [Sept 2011]
