With great dialogue, gorgeous artistic flair and plenty of engrossing gameplay, this puzzle game from Dynamic Voltage Games is a treat from start to finish.

The activities outside of shooting and story missions quickly grow stale, as does the world itself once you blaze a trail of destruction across it. While its glitches and issues aren’t enough to outright ruin the game, they happen frequently enough to be distracting.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered adds some prettier textures and lighting, but fails to make this poorly-designed, frustrating game worth another look.

Massive Entertainment have outdone themselves in crafting a sequel for the ages. They understood the shortcomings of the first game and doubled-down on what made fans stay for the long haul. Although there are some issues, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 exemplifies what happens when you do an online, shared-world looter-shooter the right way from the get-go. This is something that Destiny 2 struggled with in the past, and what Anthem can’t seem to solve.

I enjoyed One Piece: World Seeker in spite of its flaws, but anyone who isn't a big fan of One Piece will likely find the game a chore to get through.

This is a poor offering from Square Enix and one that tarnishes what could’ve been a triumphant return to the Front Mission franchise. All the talent and experience in the world from brilliant creators led to this farce of a spinoff. The game might be called Left Alive, but it’s barely breathing at this point.

Devil May Cry 5 might not be the best entry in the series, but it's a good time with great gameplay, in spite of the middling story and bland art direction.

The Occupation tries to present itself as a political thriller emphasizing stealth. Sadly, it has neither the thrills nor the mechanics to manage either.

However, it definitely ranks higher than Fortnite, PUBG, and a dozen other battle royale titles out there. I’d consider this a fairly smooth launch for a game that completely came as a surprise. Riot: Civil Unrest attempts to depict complex socio-political upheavals in an extremely unengaging and unintuitive manner, to the point that these events lose their impact in video game form.

At times serene and at times unnerving, Sunless Skies epitomizes an atmospheric narrative-driven exploration into strange and unknown locales, only marred by the tedium that grows as the novelty eventually wears off after a few hours.

Hordes of enemies, hundreds of items, and numerous dungeons aren't enough to prevent Warhammer Quest 2: The End Times from becoming all too repetitive after only a few hours of play.

It's not the reigning champion of this hybrid genre, but Mage's Initiation is a promising challenger. If sequels expand on the basics shown here, this could well be a series worth watching.

The core mechanics of the original are still very present, even amongst a more action-focused playstyle. If anything, this has widened the audience reach to those who've never played the original and want to enjoy a hearty helping of panic and inventory stress.

The graphics are good, if a little bland, and even though the movement feels too fast for my taste, it also succeeds at being a solid shooter. I think it’s safe to say that the three-man team behind Genesis Alpha One has done an excellent job of succeeding at pretty much everything they set out to do. It’s no small feat to make a game that does so many things this well, so the game is assuredly worth checking out.

JackQuest is a very average game held back further by questionable design decisions. It's not necessarily a bad time, but it isn't a good one either.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is grand in scale and scope, a testament to everything that's possible in the grimdark Warhammer 40K universe. Although a few issues still exist, it's still a stellar offering and one that Tindalos can continue to expand.

In spite of having unique mechanics and a fresh take on the 4X and roguelike genres, Jon Shafer's At The Gates falls woefully short of delivering on both counts with frustrating RNG, mechanics, unintuitive design, and bugs.

Though not without flaws, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown manages to deliver an awe-inspiring and action-packed experience.

Featuring a sweeping narrative experience and barring a few caveats, the penultimate episode Broken Toys might be the best yet for The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

This may not be a long or good-looking game, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The gameplay is really fun, and the story sequences are a hoot. As such, I can easily recommend Space Viking Raiders to anyone looking for a good, destructive time. I just wish there had been an ending cinematic instead of the game just ending abruptly. I would have liked to have spent another few minutes with the characters and their extremely entertaining conversations.

My Time at Portia is great at first, but it's as insanely stretched out as it is tedious and empty.

While control issues still hamper Onimusha: Warlords Remastered, the game looks and runs better than ever, and the hard-hitting combat keep it fun and exciting throughout.

Double Cross suffers from underwhelming combat and bland levels but makes up for it with a good story and fun platforming.

Assault Spy is a must-play for fans of fast, stylish character action. It's got some problems, but it's an absolute blast.

Gris is a beautiful experience that will be well-regarded for it's visuals, themes, and game design for years to come.

Delightful, fun, quirky -- Book of Demons keeps you entertained as it provides a unique take on what Diablo and the ARPG genre provides. Unfortunately, it also becomes repetitive and aimless towards the end.

Battle Princess Madelyn is both impressive in both visuals and audio. For better, and sometimes worse, the game has modeled itself after difficult games like Ghosts'n Goblins. Metroidvania fans will enjoy the expansive levels, however, satisfaction from level completion and boss fights are less thrilling provided the immediate backtracking you'll perform back through harms way throughout most of the game.

MegaCorp is a decent inclusion to Paradox Interactive's spacefaring strategy sim. Sadly, it can be overshadowed by what the free update already provides to the core Stellaris experience.

While it mostly iterates on the foundation laid by other games in the genre, quirky writing and characters help keep things fresh. Unfortunately, Mutant Year Zero’s short campaign and predictable story hold it back from being a slam dunk.

The five new countries featured here are all quite beautiful, and offer a vast new road network to explore. This is bound to keep you trucking for hours as you explore every nook and cranny.

It’s very much a make-your-own-fun kind of game. If you go the staid route of dishing out gun-ishment, it’s a lovely looking but rather empty third-person shooter. If you go the batshit insane route of tying everything to everything and adding rocket boosters, it’s a ballet of hilarious carnage that will likely result in your accidental death dozens of times. It’s just a dance that’s only changed a few steps from the last time.

Escape Doodland could use some more content, but it's a really neat, little game. As long as I'm not playing level seven.

Despite the glitches I encountered, it was fun hauling such big pieces of cargo around. It definitely provides a different driving experience than what you usually find in American Truck Simulator. It’s worth trying if you’re looking for something to spice the sim up a bit.

Fallout 76 just barely fulfills its promise of the ability to experience Fallout with friends. However, an overall lack of content and polish will wear down even the most ardent Fallout fans.

Darksiders III is a very good game marred by some severe issues. Still, I loved it. I only hope Gunfire Games addresses its issues.

Farming Simulator 19's new features do push the series in the right direction, but more needs to be done next time around. The old flaws have to be rooted out so a truly fresh new experience can grow.

A constrained experience compared to what This War of Mine usually offers. The Last Broadcast tries to pull at the heartstrings, but you're mostly playing as Esma crafting or exploring, while your husband idly waits for something to happen.

The provision of deep customization capabilities and an engaging narrative makes Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus a logical choice for aspiring tacticians of Holy Terra in M3.

The most visually stunning FPS game on the market right now with a thoroughly engaging multiplayer. Sadly, it still remains incomplete.

Overkill's The Walking Dead is an ambitious online multiplayer experience. It nails the aesthetic of The Walking Dead universe. However, it struggles in almost every other department. Bugs and game-halting instances have been very apparent in the near 20 hours spent with it.

Hitman 2 successfully builds upon the foundation IO Interactive laid in 2016. The sandbox structure of each map will surely facilitate several playthroughs before it gets stale. Meanwhile, new additions like Ghost Mode add multiplayer to the Hitman package. It's not perfect, but it's damn close.

A decent entry to a long list of Crusader Kings II DLC. Holy Fury provides a plethora of changes to make your playthroughs more meaningful and dynamic. Sadly, you still need other DLC to make the most out of it.

Remembering those who fought, died, and lived through the First World War, 11-11: Memories Retold captures your imagination with vivid artistic presentation. Despite not being an action-packed or violent war game, it manages to pack a hefty emotional punch.
