With Socom: Confrontation that ‘nice job’ is as rewarding as ever, and considering all the obstacles you have to overcome to get it, it feels all the better.

For a movie tie-in game, X-Men Origins: Wolverine has a surprisingly long 13+ hour playing time.

At this point, I’m definitely going to keep playing for a little longer with my friends, and see if the free Incursion mission coming out in April helps improve the longevity of the end-game. However, it isn’t looking too likely that The Division is going to take over as my next “gaming addiction” the way I’m sure Ubisoft were hoping it would.

Although the new features are welcome, Madden NFL 13 has nothing that will draw you in if you've tried the games before, and found them cluttered, confusing, and just plain hard to get into. But, for those who enjoy some pixelated pigskin, Madden 13 is solid, occasionally slick, and not afraid to wear some big hits in order to gain a few yards.

With its well crafted, cleverly designed levels and impressively high production values, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is a 'must play'... but like that fanciful Friday night party, such a pity that it's all over too soon.

Overall I think PES 2009 has the makings of a great game that’s just been held back by the lack of forward momentum.

Gatling Gears is most definitely an entertaining arcade title. It's polished, action-packed and fun. But it is a limited experience, one unfortunately let down by a lack of narrative and variety.

If you like old school RPGs, but never played the original release, buying Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen may be the best fifty dollars you’ll spend all year. If you bought the original, and all the downloadable missions, sorry people, prepared to get gouged.

Joe Danger is great fun wrapped around a retro sound track and some clean cartoon graphics. He's a likeable little motorhead with a goofy grin and, as with all daredevils, a rather unhealthy obsession with fame and a charming little death wish.

Sorcery does have a few minor shortcomings, but overall it's a beautifully presented Move title, which is surprisingly fun to play. Your budding young wizards will most likely love it.

Held back by its own ambition, For Honor isn’t a masterpiece, but delivers where it counts.

The humour is corny and sometimes you want to slap Mark Matthews for his lack of conversation choices, but it’s an enjoyable way to pass the time, and if you fail then you can play again to try and nab that hot Army guy or try to unlock the "secret easter egg date".

Regardless of the questionable depth, and maybe slightly high price, you'd have to have a heart of stone to regret time spent with When Vikings Attack. It might be a bit repetitive, but it continues to be fun to biff cars and bombs about, all while listening to the humorous banter between your lot and everyone else.

This is still football at it's finest for Xbox 360 or PS3 owners. It's difficult to justify it for owners of FIFA '14, but these titles always do well with a non-footballing audience. It’s ideal for gamers who enjoy the sport and want to get immersed in World Cup fever when June rolls around.

The game is quite difficult to master, which will leave a lot of challenges unbeaten while you're still learning and that will extend the life of Stoked quite nicely, so long as you don't hurl the controller down and stalk off cursing Bongfish's name.

The play modes don't introduce anything broadly new, and the quest mode hasn't been executed to its full potential. However, it's still a decent addition to the collection, and the singleplayer and band modes work seamlessly.

High Moon Studios have injected just the right amount of crazy into this game and fans of the comics will latch onto it immediately. Others however, might need to prepare themselves for one of the maddest gaming experiences they’ve ever encountered.

Personally I think this DLC (at the right price) is the ideal way to go. FIFA '12 owners waiting for the next annual iteration to kick-off wouldn't be keen to splash out $100 in between games.

While there was nothing exceptional or innovative about Binary Domain online, what worked was fine - which sums up the entire game. With the fairly significant exception of the voice recognition, what you have is a pretty good shooter.
