With a much larger collection of words and maybe a couple more ways to play, uWordsmith could be a very solid, brain-based party game. As it stands now, however, its lack of vocabulary is a telling blow that makes it hard to find the words to recommend it.

Silly, challenging and tightly-tuned, Electronic Super Joy: Groove City serves up the kind of moves that platforming diehards will likely eat up.

If you're going to play Space Lift Danger Panic!, there's a good chance that it's going to be for the plot and occasional returns to Survival Mode, but it's a hard sell for players looking for something with a little more depth. It's just too bad that more effort wasn't put into the general gameplay to give it a little variety.

Those looking for a more 'premium' tennis experience on the Wii U would probably be better off with Wii Sports Club: Tennis. However, Family Tennis SP certainly holds its own as cheaper, motion control-less alternative.

Whilst by no means a poor game, Penguins of Madagascar will give those playing a very mediocre experience.

While there is some fun to be had, a purchase is only recommended for creative players who can turn straw to gold - otherwise, stick with a portable version of Minecraft.

Whether you're looking for exploration or monster-rearing, there are far better options on the 3DS - for an eShop alternative, try The Denpa Men 3 - so we regretfully recommend leaving this one lost in space.

The story's rather lame, and the occasional presentational hiccup can be jarring, but these shouldn't deter players interested in the genre — anyone who enjoys card games, either online or physically, should at least give this one a spin.

It's a game designed to be played in short bursts and to that end it lacks narrative and mechanical depth, but its core strengths shine bright.

If you love solo card games this should be worth considering, just turn the volume down first.

In short bursts it's fine, and even enjoyable for a spot of casual gameplay, but if Cake Ninja wishes to truly impress there are some vital creative ingredients still missing from the recipe.

For what could easily be written off as a lackluster casual puzzle game, Puzzlebox Setup is as interesting as it is entertaining.

The levelling system is addictive and the aesthetic is charming enough to draw players in, but anyone looking for a substantial adventure will be severely disappointed.

Chariot is not for the faint of heart, it's a game that requires patience and a slightly stubborn nature to stick with, whether in co-op or single player.

It's difficult to review a title like Toon Tanks; it's a serviceable little game that doesn't pretend to offer anything special, and it's hard to fault Petite Games when the price is as low as it is, especially considering other heinously priced recent releases. But unless you really have a hankering for an over-simplistic, old-school, repetitive arcade-style game, Toon Tanks just doesn't stand out enough from the crowd in an increasingly busy market.

Underground is a roller coaster of a puzzle game that manages to bring something truly original to the Wii U eShop.

It may seem odd for a game to have a crossover before it's even released, but Twisted Fusion adds a nice twist of flavour to BLOK DROP's low-key yet functional gameplay.

If you're in the mood for some bargain-priced old-school fun, you could do a lot worse than 99Moves — but don't be surprised if you find yourself thinking up ways the game might have been improved as you play.

Pretty visuals help it, but the length really dulls the whole game's charm. If the promise of the story being continued is fulfilled, you may want to wait for that.

There's really nothing wrong with TOSS N GO as software. It's decently packaged and works perfectly well, but the tabletop game it portrays is arguably unserved by a digital translation.

Interface issues and an impressively generic presentation keep The Voice out of prime time, but if you're a big fan of the TV version - and especially if you've got friends who are too - there's a chance you'll have a great time, depending on what exactly you enjoy about the show.
