With its gorgeous art, energetic soundtrack, and breezy narrative, Half Past Fate exudes positivity from top to bottom. There isn't much actual gameplay to speak of and the writing won't blow your mind, but if you're looking for an experience that just makes you feel good for a few hours, then this is it.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Infliction: Extended Cut is a solid option for fans of first-person horror, but it's hard to shake the feeling of inferiority when compared to other offerings in the genre. It doesn't do much wrong, but Infliction feels derivative and more focus on the detective aspect would have served the game well in the end.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Overall, Vampyr is an ambitious game made with a lot of love. Given how easy it is to become immersed in its world, I was able to forgive some of the more glaring flaws with its repetitive action-RPG combat. It’s not typical for a developer to give the player such power over a game’s world and characters, after all. This affords the game an immense amount of replayability that can also let you reshape your characterization of Reid. If you’re looking for something different this Halloween season, Vampyr is one of the most impressive horror games on the Nintendo Switch. If you’re sold on the concept, this game definitely deserves your attention.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Overall, if you're a fan of Pokémon Sword and Shield, you'll probably enjoy The Isle of Armor. It's not perfect and it feels a little skimpy, but the decent amount of postgame content that is there contributes quite well to the main title. It truly feels like an expansion rather than something excised from the main game, which is the best you can hope for when it comes to DLC.- Nintendo Enthusiast

As a huge fan of Dynasty Warriors, Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star is an exceptional video game. Although the graphics on the PlayStation 4 version of the game are superior to that of the Nintendo Switch, this port feels like the definitive version of the game. Fans of action games and Nintendo Switch owners should go out and buy Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star. It’s one of the best third party games currently on the console. I loved the experience Star Fox Zero provided. I felt my skills improve every time I ran a new mission and I still get cravings to just go back into the game for the feeling it offers of flying and shooting down enemies. It’s extremely disappointing that there isn’t more content to offer above its 20 levels as the Gameplay is incredibly fun for those who take the time to master it. I truly believe this could have been regarded as one of the Wii Us must-have titles, but unfortunately, the limited content and unintuitive controls hold the game back from its potential.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Unfortunately, the entirety of De Mambo can be summed up with the initial letter sent by the developers. Yes, the style, music, level design, and ideas are all awesome. It is clear the developers put a ton of thought and heart into the game, pouring all their creative ideas into the title. Unfortunately, it never comes together in a package I am comfortable playing. The physics are abnormal and not easy to get used to, while the lack of online and health bar are weird oversights for a game like this. Overall, De Mambo nails down the unique factor for the game, but it does so without the basic building blocks required beforehand.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love is a great little indie game. I really enjoyed my time with it despite its kicking my butt at times with the puzzles. I loved the art style and the humor laced throughout the adventure. Some of the mini-games have technical problems, and a few of the later cutscenes have major frame rate issues. These do tarnish the experience a little. Fortunately, the rest of the game is such a joy that they are easy to forgive. Earth Defense Force: World Brothers is an incredible, silly, and addictive action game. It makes smart and satisfying changes to the core formula of the series that make it one of the most enjoyable entries in the EDF franchise to date, and it has the potential to be one of the most exciting co-op games you've ever played. It's only downside, though, is incredibly major -- the Nintendo Switch version is plagued with graphical issues that significantly impact the quality and fun factor of an otherwise amazing game.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Overall, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is a solid remake of a unique Pokémon spin-off. There's a lot to love here (especially the art style), but at the end of the day, the game boils down to an endless grindfest. Kine is a wonderful puzzle game that will exercise your spacial awareness and charm you with its story. The characters are relatable and surprisingly nuanced, and the visuals are appealing. The music is excellent and integrated into the gameplay in inviting ways. While the game gets incredibly difficult, serious puzzle players are sure to enjoy the challenge. Daemon X Machina is a wonderful new IP and you wouldn’t go wrong picking it up, especially if you’re a fan of mech titles. Though it’s a little slow to start, and there are definitely things it could do better, once it picks up you’ll find high-octane action, a diverse cast of characters, and a story full of intrigue and depth. Though not a perfect game, I really enjoyed my time with Table Top Racing: World Tour – Nitro Edition. Even as an accomplished racer I found some events challenging. There are definitely a few difficulty bumps but nothing impossible. The array of events (pure race, battle race, pursuit, eliminator, overtake, checkpoint, hot lap, time trial, drift) helps to keep the action fresh. The art design is fun and really helps to sell the idea of racing toy cars. If you ever had a passing interest in the Micro Machines games or like kart racers, then you should consider adding Table Top Racing: World Tour – Nitro Edition to your game library.- Nintendo Enthusiast

You’ll be done with the 50 stages in just under a couple hours, at which point you’ll unlock remixed and slightly more challenging versions of those stages. Besides these more difficult levels and the arcade version of Bubble Bobble, there isn’t a lot of staying power in this new entry. You’ll still be delighted by it during the brief time you spend with it, thanks to adorable 3D visuals and sharp music. Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is a game that revels in the right kind of fan service. So, is Farming Simulator 18 on 3DS worth it? Making a direct comparison to the PC and console versions, of course it comes in weighing on the lighter side. But, as I stated in the beginning, the core experience is still very much here. Everything has been simplified, but it works very well. I kept switching between the PC and 3DS versions just to see how big of a difference it would be, but I was surprised that the 3DS version held up so well. Even the controls felt fine. Polyroll is a simple adventure that accurately reflects the price you pay for the game. To the title’s credit, all things are in good, working order, and I have no complaints about the controls or the game’s performance. Polyroll is, by and large, a spiritual sibling to the side-scrolling Sonic games we already know and love. If you’re looking for a Sonic experience, Polyroll will handily deliver that in a small, simple, and cost-effective package. Oceanhorn is an interesting game that some people will enjoy and some people will hate. The inspiration drawn from Zelda oozes all throughout the game, and that can be a bit off-putting for some. For myself however, I think Zelda-clones should end up becoming a new thing. Considering the amount of years we have to wait between Zelda entries, why not embrace games that capture the spirit of a classic franchise? Ultimately, Mutant Football League Dynasty Edition does most right. In fact, there’s no single element I can point to that genuinely hurt my experience with it. It’s not a masterpiece by any stretch, as it doesn’t do enough to truly cement itself as wholly worthwhile. With that being said, there’s no denying the great fun to be had with the game. Old school, arcade-raised gamers will dig Mutant Football League Dynasty Edition, as will the modern sports fan.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Mr. Shifty had a really unique spin on the Hotline Miami formula, and I really enjoyed playing through the game at first. It’s unfortunate that simple design decisions and technical problems prevented the title from reaching its full potential, and ultimately Mr. Shifty amounts to an okay Switch indie title. However, that’s not necessarily terrible. There aren’t a whole lot of games right now on the Switch, and $15 isn’t that much to ask for an indie game nowadays. If you’re hankering for a unique action game on Nintendo’s new platform, Mr. Shifty might be just the game to quench your craving.- Nintendo Enthusiast

The graphics and performance take a hit on Switch; that’s obvious. If you can get past that, The Outer Worlds offers amazing characters, meaningful sidequests, and incredible freedom to the player — all of which remain fully intact on Nintendo Switch. It’s simply a must-play for RPG lovers.- Nintendo Enthusiast

This is the Police isn’t a bad game, but it feels like the game could have been much more interesting with a little more variety in the actual gameplay. Managing your cops can be fun, and some interesting things happen throughout the course of the game, but a little more variety to keep things fresh throughout would have went a long way with the game. As it stands This is the Police is a decent game that, for many, will overstay its welcome.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Wolfenstein: Youngblood offers exceptional gunplay the series is known for and brings a lot of interesting elements to the franchise for the first time. While the character-upgrades, sound design, and world are fantastic, the mission structure, lack of story, and awful checkpoint system bog down the experience.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Tohu is fairly well put together, but its 2-3-hour runtime, annoying hint system, and a few bugs make it hard to recommend at full price. If you're itching to play a point-and-click game and can get a great deal, Tohu is worth checking out. Otherwise, you'll be no worse off for skipping it.- Nintendo Enthusiast

If you buy Oh My Godheads, you will get an exciting local-multiplayer CTF game with a few tacked-on, lesser modes. There is not much to it outside of Capture the Head, and even that probably will not hold your attention for too long. Frankly, it is hard to recommend when party games like Ultimate Chicken Horse and Towerfall are available on Switch.- Nintendo Enthusiast

911 Operator is fun little title, but you have to get past a lot of repetition. The difficulty can be a little harsh too when you don’t understand everything that’s going on. I lost quite a few units at the beginning of the game as I didn’t know what I was sending my police officers into. By the end, though, I was flying through the scenarios with ease. You could comfortably finish the game in a few hours, but for such a budget title I think that is reasonable. If you fancy challenging your mind for a few hours with something that isn’t too frenetic, then you might want to give this a go.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Byking comes back to My Hero Academia for round 2, with a surprisingly quick turnaround. There's nothing dramatically new, having more to do with gameplay tweaks to add depth and fix problems. You'll need both games for the whole story, but as a party-friendly anime fighter, My Hero One's Justice 2 is a clear upgrade.- Nintendo Enthusiast

The Complex offers commendable acting and writing and a genuine sense of excitement to go with its interactive movie experience. However, most of the endings are quite similar and unsatisfying, and player choices often don't have much effect on the overall narrative. Still, considering the game costs the same price as a weeknight movie theater ticket, but with the added benefit of some novel interactivity, The Complex could make for a refreshingly unique, albeit short, movie night.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Personally, I wish Ultracore were a better game. I was so excited to give it a whirl due to its being such a marvel for its time. I wanted to like it badly. However, it’s such a slog to play and so cheap with its deaths. It is one of those titles where you never feel like a demise is your fault. I mean, there were moments when a robot would fall on my head from up above, leaving me no time to react! Granted, you could memorize levels through a lot of trial and error and become an Ultracore master. But for me at least, it’s not worth the time and effort.- Nintendo Enthusiast

198X is an arcade epic, a coming-of-age story told through multiple games and genres, worlds, and characters. Experience the thrill of shooting, driving, jumping, fighting and role-playing – combined with emotional, cinematic storytelling. Battle Princess Madelyn is certainly a time capsule from a few decades ago for better and worse. Where the game succeeds, it does so well and with style. I wanted to love Gear Club Unlimited, I really did, but I’m sorry to say that I don’t. I have been a big fan of Eden Games since their V-Rally days, but I think they have dropped the ball a little here. I understand that this is a port of their racing game for iOS and Android, but this could have been the first and definitive realistic racer on Switch. Unfortunately, it only succeeds in being the first realistic racer on the system. There is a reasonable amount of fun to be had here for racing game fans, but this isn’t going to be the crossover hit that games like Forza or Gran Turismo are on their respective platforms. If you want an arcade racer on Switch you’d be a fool not to buy Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. If you really want a more realistic-style racer then Gear Club Unlimited is worth trying, just don’t expect too much.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Not a good game at all. When you find yourself just wanting to complete levels to see if the game ever changes and gets better, that’s a sign that something is very wrong. The core gameplay is simplistic, boring, and not the level of quality one would expect from a Metroid game. Other M may have been the most fan-derided Metroid game until now, but Federation Force will easily take the crown from here on out.- Nintendo Enthusiast
