Despite a rather high selling price and the lack of a cooperative multiplayer mode, its gameplay and challenge level will keep the players around Toy Defense, its 72 missions and its toy soldier graphics for a long time.

Toy Defense offers a great take on puzzle-strategy with terrific components like pause and fast-forward that keep the momentum going. The core gameplay factor itself is sadly as typical as you can get making the experience last a bit less than you would hope, yet the addictive achievement list makes you want to jump straight back into the front line.

Even though its presentation isn’t perfect, Toy Defense still manages to be a solid, little title. It definitely isn’t the deepest game in the 3DS’ eShop, but I found it to be a good title for passing time.

Toy Defence is, in simple terms, yet another tower defence game. It doesn't try anything fancy to reinvent the genre, it simply sticks to what has been proven to work and rolls with it. There's a decent amount of content here for the relatively low price, so if you're just itching for another tower defence game you can't really go wrong with this one - just don't expect anything mindblowing.
