Once Upon a Katamari takes the simple, brilliant idea at the heart of the series and rolls it through time, offering a hilarious snapshot of human history. It’s packed with clever twists that shake up a formula which, at its core, stays the same — and yet it never stops being fun, thanks to its absurd creativity, irresistible soundtrack, and a presentation that’s unapologetically, wonderfully Japanese. If you’ve loved this franchise in the past, this comeback will have you cheerfully humming for days. And if you’ve never played it before, now’s a perfect time to give it a shot and discover just how fun it can be to roll over a bunch of Greek philosophers or barrel through a pack of velociraptors.

It's not completely original, but Gravity Guy is a cute little action game with simple mechanics: on the other side, it's a bit repetitive and way too short.

Shamefully, Aitcheson's latest game entered the mobile market almost unnoticed. Fun in single-player and devilish with a friend, it was instead an unexpected surprise.

Just like its awkward heroine Quozzle, Incredipede can be attractive and repulsive, with its open structure and simple level design, but it's also an outstanding proof that a simple and strange idea can lead to a very interesting game.

Doom is still one of the best first person shooters out there and the limited power provided by Nintendo Switch can't change this. Despite its ridiculous resolution and its low FPS, you can now enjoy the experience in full portability thanks to this porting.

Dirt 5 is the perfect synthesis of what an arcade racing game should be. It's fun, colorful, fast and immediate and, we're sure, will remain for a long time in the heart of players.

Oddworld: Soulstorm Enhanced Edition is still a great game with great problems, some really nice ideas and a compelling story but also cumbersome and imprecise controls that make the experience inevitably frustrating.

The best Nintendo games are famous for being both immediate and deep at the same time. Kirby Air Riders is too chaotic to be immediate, and too superficial to be deep. Everything else, however, is excellently executed.

Nobody Saves the World takes many ideas from Guacamelee and successfully transfers them in an action RPG structure that recalls the Diablo-like sub-genre. It's surely a grindfest in the end, but an exciting one.

Ready or Not has made a name for itself with VOID Interactive's ambitious goal to depict with absolute realism and without compromise the combat scenarios that a SWAT team faces on a daily basis. However, the truth is that behind the scandal lies an excellent first-person tactical shooter that, after two years of early access, is ready to inherit the legacy of SWAT.

Horizon Call of the Mountain is a spectacular game but, at the same time, it does nothing to surprise the player. The climbing is solid and realistic but it starts to tire too early and the combat is fun but soon enough becomes repetitive. In the end, this is a good game but we were hoping to see something more from Guerrilla to show what VR should be in 2023.

The strength of this game's combat system is undeniable, but with mediocre graphics and content, this is a game for fighting veterans only. If you love complex mechanics, big rosters and pure competitive play, you'll definitely love The King of Fighters XIV... keep in mind that there are better fighting games out there even for you though.

Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate is a good “old style” dungeon crawler with some rougue-like elements, a good level of challenge and a nice colorful graphics, as in the era of 16-bit.

Motorstorm: Arctic Edge on PSP is just as we expected it: an arcade racer, very spectacular and durable, given the huge number of races and the presence of online multiplayer. The lack of next gen graphics is certainly hard to swallow for the series, but it was done everything possible to make a good job on PSP.

Age of Imprisonment looks like an improvement through and through of the Hyrule Warriors formula, however it lacks on diversity and uniqueness: it feels like it sails on safe waters by taking away the most convoluted features of its predecessor for a more streamlined narrative driven experience while never shaking the divisive musou roots off.
