A controversial title, not fully doing justice to the excellent work MercurySteam put in the first game. It sports a very good combat system but stumbles on boring stealth and platforming sessions, with too many cutscene interruptions. However fans of the series will love playing as Dracula and going deeper in the Belmont family story.

The definitive South Park video game. Obsidian built an extremely solid gameplay foundation on which they could erect Trey and Parker's game vision. The result is a surprising story, full of the series' irreverent comic sense and very satisfying to play: if you love South Park, you can't miss this.

The new title from TT Games lacks some of the magic of previous LEGO Games, with the movie’s charisma getting somewhat diluted in the video game translation. We also didn’t like the game lacking any voices localization to Italian, while other European languages like french, German and spanish are fully represented: this makes it much less accessible to young players.

AC Liberation HD lacks the production values the series used us to, and even if it's a Live Arcade release it results in a weak experience, with a badly narrated story and the complete omission of the multiplayer component, present in the original version. Ubisoft did a good HD porting job, but it's hardly an unmissable game.

An undoubtedly successful next-gen makeup operation, delivering rich and vibrant graphics on an already great game. Nevertheless, this is a game suited only for those who never played the original one: the revamped graphics aren't enough to justify the admittance price if you already played it.

Never boring and full of brilliant open environments, Lightning Returns tells a great story coupled with a new and very effective combat system. Square Enix could have done something more on the technical side, but the great artistic design manages to make us turn a blind eye on some of the problems.

Even with its shortcomings, Fable was a good game and Fable Anniversary keeps everything intact while adding a fresh coat of Unreal Engine 3 graphics. The game didn't age too well and modern RPG lovers will have plenty to complain about, but if taken as a trip back in time to Xbox' early steps, it surely deserves a try.

Double Helix managed to modernize Capcom's classic game, even if fans could turn up their noses to the decreased difficulty level. Gameplay mechanics are highly satisfying, boss battles are engaging and fun and even lovers of metroidvania-style games will find something to look forward to: Hiryu is back.

EA's NBA title comeback turned out to be a real disappointment, due to a dated gameplay system and old-gen graphics. We'd save the excellent ESPN integration and the great play modes choice, but it isn't enough to make it a good basketball game.

Halo: Spartan Assault succeeds in keeping the Microsoft series' feeling also thanks to a great sound design, but gets dragged down by game-crashing bugs, an half-baked co-op and an overly higher price considering the same game is available for much less in the Windows Store. A completely different game from anything else available on Xbox One, suitable both to managerial game lovers and families with children, thanks to the many play modes available. If you're a fan of the series, you won't be disappointed even if the difficulty is a little bit tuned on the low side.

A highly satisfying platform game, with great graphics and an excellent level design. Max's magic marker control scheme sometimes gets in the way making some sections a little bit frustrating, but it's overall a brilliant game, surely worth your time if you love platform-puzzle games.

One of the best Xbox One launch exclusives and a great fighting game, with a very good combat system and probably the best tutorial section ever seen in the genre. Our only complaints are about the thin characters line-up and the absence of a classic Arcade mode.

Despite lacking the visual wow factor, Dead Rising 3 looks like the more next-geny game of the Xbox One launch line-up thanks to the impressive zombie hordes management and ubiquitous physics simulation. On top of this we get tons of hilarious, foolish fun: if you’ve got an Xbox One, you can’t miss it.

Forza Motorsport 5 manages to fully capture the essence of a sport where technology and passion merge in one unique blend. Technical excellence, gameplay depth, a good mix of game modes and the ability to freely explore every car with an extremely realistic rendering makes this the game to buy on Xbox One.

Graced by stunning and truly next-genish graphics, Ryse: Son of Rome unluckily stumbles on too-repetitive fights: the combat system itself proved do be quite solid but it lacks variety in enemy types and weapons used. Upon this we find an overly short story balanced by a valid co-op experience. It's undoubtedly a game to try for every Xbox One owner, but one that you could be willing to wait to find at a more appropriate price.

Battlefiled 4 lacks in the single-player campaign with a dull and forgettable story, while its still remains a very strong experience in its multiplayer side. Unfortunately it gets dragged down by several bugs capable of impacting the entire experience with hangs, savegame corruption and hitbox problems that we hope will be quickly be fixed.

A great Marvel game, with a stellar cast of characters and the solid and proven LEGO gameplay: unmissable by any true believer. Our main complaint is about the complete lack of localized dialogues in the Italian version of the game, something that highly diminishes its appeal towards the younger gamers.

Great fun for partying with friends or even for working out alone, Just Dance 2014 delivers a fresh and immediate experience. It only lacks a tutorial mode to better learn every single move: it would have been perfect with it.

The new Rocksmith is the nearest thing to an interactive guitar course, with the added fun of a video game. The guitar lessons and the new Session mode are great additions: definitely recommended to every guitarist wannabe or even expert musicians.

Infinity Ward goofs up on the campaign with a dull story and a totally forgettable villain, but they recover on the multiplayer side with some very nice maps, great bots AI, the usual frenzied gameplay and the highly addicting Extinction mode. Overall, though, CoD Ghosts lacks the magnificence and innovation we would have expected from IW's new work after the Modern Warfare trilogy.

We liked all the sea based activities: battles are challenging and deeper than before, underwater wrecks exploration is a nice addition and every pirate stories fan will find much to like here. Nevertheless, with Black Flag the series shows some fatigue especially in the ground sections like combat and the free-running mechanics, leaving us hoping for a strong overhaul starting with the next game.

If played locally, PES 2014 is a great soccer game showing that Konami took the right path for its series rebirth. But as you try getting online, countless problems arise making it hardly playable.
