MIO: Memories In Orbit is an uneven yet compelling experience, swinging between genuine engagement and notable frustration. Excessive backtracking and unclear design choices test patience, but a strong artistic direction and striking visual identity often make up for the rough edges. It doesn’t hold the player’s hand, yet its demanding nature delivers real satisfaction, making it a worthwhile metroidvania for those who appreciate challenge and imperfection.- MondoXbox

Driven by a striking and unforgettable visual style, Bye Sweet Carole delivers a charming, multifaceted adventure that genre fans shouldn’t miss. Clearly fueled by passion, it doesn’t achieve perfection in every gameplay element, yet it offers a memorable, emotionally resonant experience. Overall, it stands out as one of the most notable highlights of the recent Italian video game scene.- MondoXbox

Destiny stays quite enjoyable as long as it has something new to offer, but this ends rather soon leaving us with a well-crafted repetitive shooter and a disappointing story. The lacklustre competitive multiplayer doesn't help either, so it won't probably be what will keep players attached to the game. Here's hoping Bungie will keep the game relevant by constantly adding new events that won't simply be fighting more of the same enemies in the same environments.- MondoXbox

Just Dance 2017 fine-tunes the series mechanics with an updated tracklist but without adding great new features; it's still a very good party game, while it won't satisfy those willing to play it solo.- MondoXbox

Darwin’s Paradox is a charming 2.5D action-platformer capable of offering pleasing visuals, brilliant level design, and varied gameplay. Darwin’s adventure is entertaining and driven by clever mechanics and humor, even if occasional frustration arises from trial-and-error sections and imprecise underwater controls. Despite this, it remains a solid and entertaining platformer well worth playing.- MondoXbox

Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is like an encyclopedia of the Musou series condensed in a single game, with a metric ton of contents rendered in a rock-solid 60fps frame-rate. Its old-gen legacy is however still too strong, compromising the entire production.- MondoXbox

Gotham Knights has a lot of potential which, however, stays partly unexpressed: the fights suffer from a lower physicality compared to the previous Arkham titles and even the city traversal appears less convincing, while a graphics performance mode would have helped in the most frantic action scenes. It however remains a game capable of entertaining and highly recommended to fans of the Bat-family, mainly thanks to a good story that manages to keep us glued to the screen.- MondoXbox

Everyone who watched the 80's Transformers cartoons will surely appreciate Platinum Games' new game, but once the nostalgia effect wears down some issues like a short story and too repetitive gameplay will emerge. Thanks to its nice graphics and tight gameplay it's however a suggested buy, maybe at a budget price.- MondoXbox

A satisfying stealth-focused isometric turn-based game, with a welcome new flavor given by employing Police tactics. It lacks some finesses from better known franchises and its enemy AI could have been better, but fans of XCOM and the likes should give it a look.- MondoXbox

A smart, sensitive walking simulator built around a real, evocative setting rendered with strong style. Josef, Kolja, and the others carry a focused 4–5 hour narrative that stays engaging despite minimal gameplay and limited interactivity. For players who value story-first experiences, it delivers concentrated narrative substance without distractions.- MondoXbox

Fuel isn't lacking in defects, like not-so-great graphics, high difficulty spikes and some random bugs, but the game is surely enjoyable. The career mode gives us a very varied experience, and the online modes contribute to keep the longevity high: suggested to the offroad racing fans.- MondoXbox

Alone in the Dark is a good game that lacks that extra something to establish itself as a top title. The nostalgia operation works great, but the game does not shine in any aspect, ending up doing a decent job without impressing.- MondoXbox

The Last Worker is yet another excellent example of the maturation process of the video game medium and the creative potential it offers, offering us a truly engaging - if short and linear - journey with memorable characters, capable of stimulating a reflection on sensitive and current issues. Recommended for anyone looking for a thought-provoking and different experience.- MondoXbox

Supreme Commander 2 could have been one of the best console RTSes around, but it fails due to a really substandard technical side. However if you can turn a blind eye on the shoddy visuals, you'll like the deep units management system, the very immediate and dynamic control system and the good online support.- MondoXbox

Mafia: Definitive Edition is a two-sided coin. On one side we find stunning graphics and a great plot that still manages to captivate us after 18 years, while on the other side we find some meaningful shortcomings that could have been avoided re-designing some aspects of the original game. Despite this, it's still a suggested buy both for people who loved the original game and for the ones that never played it.- MondoXbox

EA and Maxis' series comes back to console with bright and dark spots. On one side we have a very satisfying simulation with a good technical production, but on the other we get somewhat uncomfortable controls and relatively too little environment and character customization choices.- MondoXbox

Codemasters tried to bring on console a real military simulation and we can say it succeeded, giving us more depth in firefights. But it’s a tough game, unsuitable for classic FPS lovers and demanding much patience, dedication and tactic thinking. On our final opinion weigh the IA and technical problems we encountered, coupled with a lackluster online multiplayer. It’s a good start on which we hope the developers will build for a more solid and polished sequel.- MondoXbox

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon fully captures gameplay and feeling of the original Castlevanias, keeping many of their drawbacks too, though. It's still a very enjoyable game for the lovers of the classic games, and a nice diversion while waiting for Ritual of the Night.- MondoXbox

Puyo Puyo Champions is a great puzzle game for people looking for a competitive experience against other players, both local and online, with lots of options and customizations. It might be a bit underwhelming for people looking for a single player experience, but at this price it's still a recommended buy for them too.- MondoXbox

Call of Duty: Vanguard is a full CoD package with all the series' traditional modes, but with evident compromises made to release the game on-time. The campaign is short and not so memorable, the multiplayer has major balancing problems and several shortcomings compared to the other chapters, while the Zombie mode offers little bite. It's still a good shooter, but it lacks the punch and the breadth of content that distinguished the best episodes in the series.- MondoXbox

Tokyo 42 sports a gorgeous visual style, with an incredibly detailed and alive isometric pixel art world; on this backdrop comes alive a solid, if not too original or brilliant, twin-stick shooter with stealth mechanics partly ruined by some heavy frame rate drops and perspective problems. It remains however a very fascinating and unique game, definitely worth a try.- MondoXbox

Farming Simulator 19 improves on the previous game with new vehicles and activities like cotton plantations and horse breeding, but it doesn't feel like the huge improvement or turning point it could have been after missing last year's release. It still is a worthwhile game for all lovers of the genre, however.- MondoXbox

Still Wakes the Deep is a good narrative adventure that immerses us in the horror of a realistically reproduced oil rig, but it fails to create high levels of tension in the player. Thanks to the good story, the interesting cast of characters and the excellent original voice acting, it remains an excellent first-person adventure that fans of the genre should not miss.- MondoXbox
