Mar 30, 2026Being an octopod feels great, all your skills in a fun title with a lot of charisma. It may feel short, but the experience is rewarding, a game to fully enjoy.

Mar 30, 2026Darwin’s Paradox! is a super fun 2D Puzzle Platform Adventure game, while i really enjoyed my time with the game and didn’t really encounter much problems other then sometimes being spawned back a bit further then I thought I would upon death, But other then that it is a stupendous game.

Mar 29, 2026During its strongest moments Darwin’s Paradox! is an absolute joy. No matter if you have to solve simple puzzles, escape from danger at high speed or just jump through complex platforming sections, Darwin feels great to control and offers fun and varied gameplay. On top of that he is a lovely and great looking protagonist and the design of other creatures and the world itself is topnotch. The game suffers from issues with the camera, dips in the framerate and some traps and dangers during the gameplay are just too well hidden to spot on a first playthrough. Ultimately these things don’t matter too much as “Darwin’s Paradox!” is just a blast to play.

Mar 30, 2026Darwin's Paradox is a delightful surprise. Original, clever, and polished, it confidently carves out a niche in the competitive platformer genre by offering a physics-based approach and making perfect use of its main character, a cephalopod with endless possibilities. While it doesn’t revolutionize the genre, it stands out as a memorable experience, driven by a strong identity and fun, inspired gameplay, despite a few tedious back-and-forths and an ending that falls short of the rest of the adventure. We can’t wait for the sequel—whether it’s in the form of DLC or a bigger, more expansive adventure.

Apr 27, 2026Darwin’s Paradox is a stealthy Pixar cartoon, imbued with slapstick platforming.

May 1, 2026Darwin’s Paradox is a quirky puzzle platformer that harkens back to classic games and I loved it. The goofy cartoon art style is its biggest selling point, and the nods to classic Konami games are fun. The price matches the experience, and it is easy to recommend. I had a great time digging through it and we don’t get a ton of these types of games anymore, so it is always great to see a new one.

Mar 29, 2026I appreciate Konami for taking risks on diverse indie projects, but Darwin's Paradox still needs significant work before it becomes truly worthwhile. Its charm and expressive animation can’t mask a shallow, low-impact story, and while flashes of creative mechanics shine through, they’re dragged down by tedious, dull, and occasionally frustrating sections. Ironically, despite its clear potential, Darwin's Paradox ends up feeling like a contradiction of what makes a puzzle platformer genuinely engaging.
