    If you’re looking for an addictive puzzler to compete against friends and strangers, you really can’t go wrong with Puyo Puyo Champions. Highly recommended!

    Puyo Puyo Champions is a great puzzle game for people looking for a competitive experience against other players, both local and online, with lots of options and customizations. It might be a bit underwhelming for people looking for a single player experience, but at this price it's still a recommended buy for them too.

    Puyo Puyo Champions is a fine puzzle game. It leans heavily into the multiplayer aspects of the game, and while it may turn off beginners or people out of practice, for the price, you still get a really good puzzle game.

When played with family or friends this game is an incredible amount of fun and with the amazing online multiplayer you’ll find yourself returning repeatedly. The Puyo Puyo series first appeared in 1991 and I've played every variation of the franchise over its many years. It didn’t take me long to get addicted to that game because it always seemed to be a game I would play for countless hours on end mastering the techniques behind the simple design is key. As you can imagine then when I first heard that a new game called Puyo Puyo Champions was making its way to the Xbox One I was excited and thankfully I’m pleased to report that this is another fantastic addition to the franchise and a value priced one at that the online play alone is worth the price of admission. I was hooked again after getting in the zone again with Puyo Puyo 2 and Puyo Puyo Fever. The presentation of the game also stirred up a great deal of nostalgia as well because once again your'e treated to the colorful visuals, characters and a sound design that stays fun for hour on end. In terms of content the game doesn’t have a huge amount especially if you’re playing on your own but I stress the online play that will keep you satisfied for so many hours and this does mean that you get good value for your price of admission. Puyo Puyo Champions is a game that can be enjoyed by both veterans and new challengers alike, and when you finally get used to the online components you’ll find this game to be quite replay-able and you’ll no doubt play this game for hours on end especially if you love the puzzle genre as I do.… Expand
