TMNT Mutants in Manhattan doesn't have the usual solid, challenging and frantic Platinum Games mechanics. It's too simple in combat system and has poor and repetitive enemy waves. However, it's better in coop mode and has good bosses.- Meristation

Homefront: Revolution has several problems in terms of enemy AI, stealth mechanics and poor framerate. It also has a generic storyline, and it's full of repetitive missions.- Meristation

DOOM is back keeping the same intense and hectic gunplay that it had 23 years ago in a successful reboot on steroids. The package excels in a brilliant, replayable Single Player campaign, the infinite Snapmap "DOOM Maker" editor that remembers the .wad maps creation, tons of unblockables, and OST that encourages demon-slaughtering among other great aspects. Only the MP mode doesn't match that excellence. The rest is a masterclass on how update a classic and nail it.- Meristation

Shadow of the Beast has an interesting combat system and its very replayable, but fails on other proposals like dull platforming, weak bosses and some minor issues related with to control.- Meristation

After the success of Fire Emblem Awakening, Fates takes it as a base to build its new world but trying to keep old fans on board too. It offers a better plot and three different experiences tailored to veterans and newcomers. Sadly it fails to bring many improvements in gameplay (except for the addition of more interactive scenarios and the unit combination) and graphics, but in exchange adds the massive my castle function, including its multiplayer functions and online mode. It's disappointing that the good end is exclusive to the downloadable "Revelations" path, though.- Meristation

Battleborn offers an interesting approach to the MOBA and Shooter genres but remains in no man's land with respect to many of its mechanics. The co-op of the campaign and the Incursion Mode are gold, but the progression system is very artificial and the game seems less inspired compared to Borderlands.- Meristation

Uncharted 4 is Naughty Dog's greatest masterpiece. A brilliant game, frantic and intense, with the best gameplay mechanics and a good storyline. A new benchmark for Playstation 4 in terms of visuals. Also fun despite a lack of more game modes in multiplayer.- Meristation

A fun an interesting JRPG with tons of content and world with a life of its own -- Yo-Kai Watch sets a new universe that young fans will enjoy from the beginning to the end. Although the combat system might be a little bit of a lackluster, its story-driven gameplay offers a great deal of life lessons and a not-too-demanding adventure.- Meristation

If you already have the latest BlazBlue and need another 1-v-1 2D fighting game, Nitroplus Blasterz is a very good one in terms of accessibility and complexity. Its beautiful to look at, and it feels good in terms of control and combat system. Go for it.- Meristation

Not only does Pang Adventures refresh the decades-old formula. It also incorporates a huge array of new items and ball types, attracting veterans and newcomers alike. The level design enhances the new gameplay ideas, but the graphics and sound leave much to be desired, in a world with visually impressive 2D games.- Meristation

A good effort to bring back the essence of Baldur's Gate, and a mechanically successful demonstration of what makes combat special in this series. Good encounter design with some memorable dungeons, but bugs and linearity along with some shortcomings in its story makes it fall a bit short of its potential.- Meristation

Enter the Gungeon offers a new way to understand the rogue-like games, being more dependent on the player skill than focusing on the item drops. It has perfect gunplay and a cute game design, and even if it's not as good as The Binding of Isaac or Nuclear Throne, it comes close to them.- Meristation
