Tequila Work's Deadlight returns with a new survival mode and the same excellent artwork in 1080p, but the physical issues of the original game haven't been solved.

Rehashed version of the Deadlight doesn´t have anything to offer to the original game players. It doesn´t bring anything refreshing – so the game still suffers from poor controls and short playing time. But newcomers could be attracted by fast-paced, atmospheric and visually beautiful arcade game.

Yet another proof that some games should just be left alone, because they don’t necessarily have much to offer a couple of years later. [09/2016, p.57]

The atmosphere is great as well as the sad and dark storyline, there are a few small nonsense here due to the fact that it is a 2D game but it does not interfere with the reception of the whole. All in all, I only encountered one problem, sometimes it's not very clear where the character can grab onto something or stand on, luckily it happened to me maybe three times. The game is quite short but it doesn't bother you because you can still play survival mode in which you will visit new locations and be able to play with new weapons. I recommend trying. Expand

The art while playing is Great until you get to their cheap ugly cutscenes just plain ugly. Deadlight is just a platformer with another bland zombie story and mediocre gameplay but it's beautiful to look at. Expand

+ Visually it delivers the ambience, which is appealing and somewhat encouraging to play.

    - Terribly linear level design
    - Puzzles are not challenging at all
    - Sometimes visuals are misleading, which result that some object you can interact and some with similar looks won't have that feature
    - Sometimes controls feel a little bit off
    - Narrative and dubbing of main hero sounds poor and not interesting
    - The plot is a cliche
