    Dead Space is a pleasant surprise, it takes the best elements of classic terror sci-fi films and combines them with some of the most notorious ideas of games like Bioshock, Condemned, Resident Evil 4 or Doom 3. Instead of an improved but unoriginal copycat, the team managed to give this mix a distinctive personality, making it a great experience on its own.

    Requiem is the best installment in the saga since Resident Evil 4. A brilliant game in terms of action, survival elements, and above all, the combination of both. Capcom delivers a heartfelt tribute to Resident Evil 2 and signs off on one of the peaks of the franchise.

    Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is your best chance to replay, or play for the first time in case you hadn't before, three of the best games in videogames' history. It's a very good HD port, the best you can do while being faithful to the original games, and it inclues the original MSX2 games and Peace Walker's online modes.

    Battlefield 3 offers one of the best multiplayer modes out there. The Frostbite 2 engine is capable of amazing things in order to show the most realistic war we've seen to date. Its only flaws are an extremely short campaign and a co-op mode that could have been much better.

    Dreams is a triumph on the formula that Media Molecule has been improving since LittleBigPlanet. Its creation tools are overwhelming and require hard work, but they're ultimately rewarding. There is a great sense of community, and trying new creations every day feels satisfying and exciting.

    The Beatles: Rock Band surpasses the barrier of musical games, delivering a complete documentary experience with enticing, superb visuals and a well-built-for-fans Story Mode. In addition to that, peripherals are among the finest ever seen in the genre with the exception of the drums, very similar to those seen in Rock Band 2. This game sets a standard regarding what a one-band game should be.

    Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is a love letter for skateboarding fans and the long-running Activision saga. An exercise in rejuvenation that shows that twenty years are nothing for a bomb-proof gameplay: everything continues to work wonderfully. Despite its bugs and connection drops in online multiplayer, it is almost excellent.

    Peace Walker's one of the best games for PSP that we've tried this year, probably the best MGS that Kojima's made so far for a handheld platform. It tells the story of Big Boss, ten years later after the incidents with his mentor, which he killed in an epic battle. Now, with the aggravation of a war conflict between the CIA and the KGB, he listens her voice again on a cassette tape, and thus accepting the mission of aiding Paz Andrade and friends. Co-Op options, new Mother Base implementation... Peace Walker aims to the top of PSP catalog, and makes it even further.

You learn new things, abilities and mechanics during the experience, and the result is just beautiful and delightful. Too short, but an unforgettable journey.

    N++
    N++ is a throwback to simpler, nicer times, in which videogames didn't need to constantly bomb the player with many button commands, or HUD elements. Its main strengths are its minimalistic visual style, and its strong -yet simple gameplay.
