Super Mario Maker 2 is a remarkable continuation from the original game. This new entry in the series takes the best elements of the previous one and adds a huge number of new elements, modes and styles. The creator mode is larger and deeper, the online multiplayer is just fun; but the story mode lacks on personality. Even though the game is bigger and extensive, it is definitely not the ultimate Mario Maker.

Probably the best vanilla Civilization from the Firaxis era, a game that feels complete, with tons of features that add depth.

A perfect finale for the Starcraft universe. Legacy of the Void incorporates the the multiplayer aspects very effectively and ends its campaign with awesome missions. The OST is the best of the three episodes.

Despite some questionable decisions that have barely to do with the game itself, Diablo 3 is the best hack and slash dungeon crawler action game to date.

Monster Hunter World is one of the best game of the year, and it's still solid, deep and challenging on PC. However, it has some important connection and stability problems.

Gameplay-wise, it's essentially the same game; that is, the best online FPS, an exciting and frantic experience. It offers several game modes, new weapons and balances the perks. Also, the competitive and the cooperative experience in Spec Ops and Survival has been greatly improved. And it has the best campaign yet in a Modern Warfare game. Another headshot from Infinity Ward.

Control-wise, FIFA 11 offers several new features, but it has some ideas during the match that prevent it from vastly improving itself and becoming the ultimate football game. Its main features this year: playing as the goalkeeper and playing 11 vs 11 players online.

Despite some heavy patriotic messages that may sometimes distract the narrative, killing nazis is as fun as ever. Wolfenstein II expands over his predecessor with a rampage of old-school brutality, dual-wielding ass-kicking kills that makes it as one of the finest single player shooters of the recent days and a truly joyful experience. Highly recommended.

A flawless take on LittleBigPlanet on a system that looks especially well-suited for it. This version is faithful to the core of the LittleBigPlanet experience and manages to improve on other versions thanks to the great control system designed around Vita and novelties like the Memorizer that will add a new dimension to the creative work around this game.

Ikaruga and Switch are a perfect match. Flawless in both portable or television modes, Ikaruga demonstrates that it still reigns among today´s shooters. A true classic that truly holds up, a lot of time after storming a genre.

One of the best WoW expansions in terms of available content once you reach the level cap. Artifacts, order halls, world quests and professions' improvements make you go search for your new recipes and upgrades.

It's difficult to find a game more crazy and funny than Joe Danger Special Edition, a very good arcade game who once again proves that the simple concepts can be the base for the better games. One of the best games of the year for the Xbox Live.

Owlboy just sets the new standard for neo-retro videogames. Glowing with variety and compelling characters, Otus and his adventure succeed at evoking the games of yesteryear as much as they make a bold statement: pure 2D gaming is back for good.

Contrary to what may seem by seeing a couple of images, Night in the Woods is, in a conversational adventure form, a punk call, an existential, social, economic and political review. Mae's adventure is the sentimental reflex of an twenty-year-old young adult.

Nioh is more than a Souls based game. It has a solid, deeper and versatile combat system, it's full of content and offers great final boss battles. A balanced game between action and RPG, but not a legal heir of the Ninja Gaiden formula. However, has an irregular level design.

The best of the new aspects of NBA 2k13 are the comments in Spanish (by the expert Antonio Daimiel). These are perfect and very dynamic. The weak elements of the previous version have been improved too. In total, NBA 2K13 is the best basketball simulator ever.

Stardew Valley fits perfectly on Nintendo Switch. Its possibility to be played on handheld mode is just magic, but the lack of touch screen capacity controls is a pity. However, the product is overall as good as the other console versions. If you are looking for a Harvest Moon like title, this is the very best one.

Football Manager returns with further improvements. The new version allows us to maintain better control of our team during games, and also increase the quality of 3D visualization. FM 2010 goes deeper in the interaction with our players, media and the coaching staff, creating a great gaming experience with its fantastic artificial intelligence. Year after year, the series takes hold their place in the genre, adding new capabilities without sacrificing any of the features seen in previous versions. This sports title keeps on top of its genre, setting a benchmark for every football management simulator.
