Middle-earth: Shadow of War can best be described as Shadow of Mordor with extra of everything. Just like the first one, it's ambitious, addictive and easy to pick up. The gameplay tends to be a bit repetitive, but in every other way Shadow of War is a nearly perfect action game.- M3

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is something as unusual as a pretty damn great single player Star Wars game. The different worlds are a joy to explore, while the combat make you feel like a mighty jedi while still being challenging. It's a shame the game feels so unpolished and somewhat unfinished, but luckily the problems aren't big enough to ruin the overall experience. On the contrary; Fallen order is best single player Star Wars game since Republic Commando.- M3

Far Cry 6 starts off strong with a haunting and pretty realistic sequence. During the adventure, we get plenty of similar scenes, but also the exact opposite - and everything in between. It creates an incredibly disjointed experience, but it's actually not as bad as it sounds since the actual gameplay is varied and enjoyable. Instead, it is the high number of bugs and, to say the least, strange behavior from some of the computer controlled characters that lowers the enjoyment a notch.- M3

A Hat in Time is a game full of fun, charm and variety - just like the best 3D platform games from the late 90's. Even though A Hat in Time is not as polished as, for example, Super Mario's latest adventures, it's still an entertaining adventure that is a great choice for everyone who wants to relive something akin to the platforming games from their childhood.- M3

Yoshi's Crafted World is a lovely but somewhat uneven experience. There is much to enjoy, especially the graphics and creativity that each level offers. Our only wish is that the game would be more challenging, and that the gameplay evolved during the adventure. But if you can ignore these short-comings, Yoshi's Crafted World is a great Nintendo style adventure.- M3

Pokkén Tournament DX is a fun fighting game that is easy to get in to. The core gameplay is more about flashy attacks than finesse, but there is still plenty of room for tactics. All in all, Pokkén Tournament DX is a good addition to the Switch library. Just do not expect many changes from the Wii U version, since it is essentially the same game.- M3

After 22 years, we finally get a sequel to the Nintendo 64 classic Pokémon Snap. Even though a lot of time has passed, much of the gameplay is intact. You follow a fixed road forward and your mission is to photograph as many Pokémons as possible before the route reaches its end. It may not sound all that fun, but it really is. For a while anyway. Although the adventure is more than twice as long as the original and the gameplay has evolved in a few important areas, it is a bit too limited to please others than those who already love the series.- M3

Zombies, survival elements and a brutal combat system is a great foundation. Sackboy: A Big Adventure switches the creative mode from the main series to a more direct platform game. Some courses such as the rhythm-based ones are brilliant, but despite the improved control compared to Little Big Planet, most of them are too easy and slow for the experienced player. Spyro Reignited Trilogy might be noticeably worse on Nintendo Switch compared to the other versions of the game, but the port is still mighty impressive overall. Just like last year's Resident Evil 2 remake, Resident Evil 3 is a great new version of a 20-year-old horror classic. Unlike part 2, however, this time Capcom has, for better or worse, departed from the original game in several ways. It is still a great adventure that is more focused on action than horror. But just like 20 years ago, Resident Evil 3 never reaches the same highs as its predecessor - which on the other hand is not a bad score at all.- M3

Like a Dragon: Ishin! delivers some excellent samurai action, with a story harkening back to Kurosawa, but there are a few thorns in your side. The game could have benefited of being more remade, the graphics in particular stand out as not quite up to date. Tell Me Why combines sharp storytelling, mystery and heavy atmosphere. The result is a family thriller that touches, but may not always go into depth. Freedom of choice around the game's crucial moment adds an extra spice, and Dontnod does not shy away from portraying things that can be really difficult. Highly recommended.- M3

Everybody's Golf VR takes videogame golf to a whole new level. Although the fact that the gameplay is amazing, makes the lack of content it even more disappointing. Given the relatively low price tag, the number of courses is acceptable, but the lack of online play and even single player tournaments hurts the overall enjoyment.- M3

It's been more than a decade since Left 4 Dead 2 and Turtle Rock is now back to reclaim the throne. Back 4 Blood is not a revolution, though. Instead, it's an evolution of the developer's already excellent gameplay from before. Although we would have liked less of the small flaws we find, it does not stop the game from being a really entertaining and addictive shooter. With human teammates, that is.- M3

With challenging yet fun racing, a career mode filled with content and a ton of different motorcycles, Ride 4 offers us most things we want from a racing game. Unfortunately, much of the enjoyment is hampered due to an unbelievably uneven difficulty level. Simple races are interspersed with challenging competitions and purely diabolical challenges. Ride 4 is still the most complete motorcycle racing game and a big upgrade compared to its predecessor - but be prepared to have your patience tested.- M3

Fire Emblem Warriors is a great successor to Hyrule Warriors and adds some very intuitive additions. The lack of variation with the lead characters in the cast reduces some enjoyment though.- M3

Call of Duty: Vanguard reminds us of the Call of Duty titles from over 15 years ago. And there is nothing wrong with a somewhat stripped-down reboot, but in this case, it feels like a lack of development time is the main reason for the cutbacks. The single player campaign looks terrific and plays great but has very few memorable moments. The zombie mode on the other hand lacks a lot of content at launch. Luckily, the main online mode offers plenty of content and the gameplay is as addicting as ever – even though everything feels very familiar.- M3

Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs is a light-hearted tactical role-playing game that is easy to learn yet challenging to complete. Even though the combat system and story could have used a bit more depths, the beautiful hand-painted graphics, well-written characters and enjoyable battles makes it is an impressive debut for the studio.- M3

Grid is an easy-to-play racing game that entertains on the track but disappoints everywhere else. The career mode is hardly worth the name, and the online mode only offers the most basic functions. Although, if you can't stand the realism you’ll find in most of today’s racing games and just want something fun to play – Grid might be the game for you.- M3

The new version of Pokémon Diamond (and Pearl) gives us the perfect mix of old and new. An easygoing story with dark tendencies spiced with all the improved elements from newer games in the series. The variety is huge and at its best even addictive. However, we can not shake off the fact that the character design itself feels a bit out of place.- M3

Seen as an expansion, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is good but not great. Most of the new content is enjoyable, but the gameplay loop falls into familiar routines surprisingly fast. However, if you see the expansion as a part of a complete package, the overall improvements have transformed Destiny 2 to one of the best action games this console generation. If you haven’t tried it yet, there hasn’t been a better time to start than now.- M3

Aer: Memories of Old is not a game in which your mind and reflexes will be challenged. Nor does it offer any surprising events or intense action. Instead, it is mostly a calm experience where we are more than happy to fly around, take in environments and music - and just relax.- M3

The Surge is something really promising – challenging but fair with a strong sense of progression. At the same time the story, characters and game world is uninspiring and boring. Right now it’s only a descent Dark Souls tribute without a strong identity of its own.- M3

Overwatch for Switch is not the port that will make you abandon the other versions. In the end there are just too many compromises to recommend it for any purpose other than portable gaming. Even then there are factors to take into account, like the games slower frame rate. But if you can bare that, Overwatch is is one of the better fps games for the Switch. Just not exactly the same Overwatch as other versions.- M3

Yooka-Laylee is in every way a love letter to the platform genre of the 90's. There is tons of stuff to do, funny looking characters everywhere and new surprises behind every corner. On the negative side there are some technical issues along with a struggling camera. But overall, if you are a fan of Banjo-Kazooie, you're probably going to have plenty of fun with this.- M3

Making a superhero game is difficult, but making a VR game with free flying might be even more difficult. Still, developer Camouflaj manages to avoid most traps and deliver an action-packed adventure where, above all, the battles are wonderfully intense and entertaining. It's a shame that the pace is all over the place, and the game needed better mission variety. But in the end, most faults can be forgiven; no other game has managed to capture the feeling of being Iron Man. A fact that goes a long, long way.- M3

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is an unexpectedly fresh take of the well-used Dragon Ball license. Although it must be said that most parts of the game could have been in better shape, and if you are not a Dragon Fall fan many aspects of the game fall flat. But on the other hand; With great fan service, some fantastic cutscenes and above all entertaining gameplay, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a great choice for all Dragon Ball fans - whether your interest level is 150 or over 9000.- M3

Since we took our first steps in Avalanche Studios' post-apocalypse, we have had a hard time putting the control aside. The combination of an open world, mutant freaks and super powers is too entertaining, actually far above our expectations. Along with the eminent control and the dynamic battles, it makes Rage 2 one of the year's most addictive titles to date.- M3

Mario Strikers: Battle League Football is a wonderfully chaotic and entertaining football game where violent kicks and punches are as important as good passes.
