Mario Party Superstars is a clear example that you don’t have to repair something that is not broken. Its a trip back to the Nintendo 64 era and the early years of the GameCube, that is, the time when Mario Party was most relevant.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R is the best example of how a game can become a jewel after being forgotten for years. A remake full of changes and improvements that surprises by adapting a niche JRPG and transforming it into a modern classic.

Need for Speed Unbound is perhaps one of the franchise's last efforts to stay alive at a time when its glory years are behind it. In the end, it brings together various elements that the fans requested to combine and execute them in a good way, resulting in a fun experience that keeps calling you back.

Kirby Air Riders is a masterclass in game design and in how to make an anticipated sequel. It has everything that made the original game so incredible, and it adds so much content that it seems like an infinite title. You can play it by yourself or with friends in local or online multiplayer, and in any way it will make you have a blast.

NBA 2K25 shows that Visual Concepts has not stagnated in its comfort zone and the goal remains to grow, test new technologies and offer the greatest amount of content in a sports game. In terms of gameplay, new systems and experience customization, this year's installment is on another level and can easily look over its shoulder at other IPs. NBA 2K25 still offers a lot for the traditional gamer and the enthusiast. Now that the generation gap has become larger, we can say that NBA 2K25 is, truly, the first game of this Next-Gen that we have owed so much and that is enough to get lost in the court no matter what is happening around.

The Disney Afternoon Collection is an object lesson in how game compilations should be developed, providing rock-solid adaptation to a new platform, respecting the material’s historic context, and exercising restraint. It’s one hell of a collection with great visuals, rich extras and challenging time attack modes.

Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven is a fantastic JRPG and I hope this is the opportunity for it to connect with more people. SaGa is a series whose experimentation makes it have very high good moments, but extremely difficult to digest bad moments and Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is one of the highest points it has hit and becomes the best way for anyone to try this series for the first time.

Age of Empires IV is a solid RTS. It's fun, it's challenging, and it has a promising future. This is because the base is Age of Empires II, a mythical title that remains unsurpassed after so many years. Hopefully this greatness can be replicated, and in the future, Age of Empires IV will be seen as the cornerstone to advance into a new era.

Without a doubt, this is the best South Park game so far. The quality in the level design, the animations, and the addictive combat highlight this fun experience and really makes you feel part of a South Park episode. The Stick of Truth doesn't try to revolutionize the genre but tries to offer a good laugh from classic poop and fart jokes.

With 460 cars and 26 tracks, Forza Motorsport 6 brings the big guns to "the best simulation game of the year" competition. Rain is the newest addition to the series, and it's great. You have double the cars than Forza 5 and a lot more tracks, but sadly, the simulation is almost the same.

#IDARB is a 2D platform competitive game. It's dirty, action-packed, and filled with Internet memes. It's genuinely fun and best played with friends locally or head to head in online matchmaking. #IDARB is a game made from the ground up to be a spectator title thanks to social interactions with Twitch and Twitter, which is a lesson developers can learn from and implement.

Marathon finds itself in a difficult position. On one hand, it is a title unafraid to make you eat dirt and learn from your mistakes, all while delivering an experience with few apparent downsides—at least on paper—and featuring a presentation that stands out amidst the endless array of hyper-realistic offerings currently flooding the market. On the other hand, it is a tough sell to an audience whose sheer fatigue with "games as a service" keeps them at a safe distance from the blast zone.

Gears of War: Judgment marks a successful return to the GoW universe. The declassified missions, as well as the Horde ones, fit beautifully in the game and makes it a strong FPS with a nice Arcade touch, similar to what we saw in Bulletstorm.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is yet another great port on the hybrid Nintendo platform that includes all the content released since its debut 6 years ago. StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm presents a radical change in relation to the previous game. Kerrigan's story ends satisfactorily, although it seems a little clichéd at times, and the new gameplay mechanics are fun and they add a needed breath of fresh air to the single player campaign.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition brings the relaxing island life experience to Switch 2 with clear improvements. The game keeps its calm, daily gameplay while adding 4K visuals in docked mode, more stable performance, and multiplayer for up to 12 players. Mouse support and social features like GameChat and CameraPlay offer more control options without changing how the game plays. With quality-of-life updates and deeper customization, this is the most complete version of New Horizons, perfect for players looking for a cozy and creative escape.

After changing the longstanding mechanics of Castlevania with Lords of Shadow, MercurySteam managed to merge action and exploration in Mirror of Fate. The game is far from the Metroidvania style but in exchange offers many hours of intense combat, and a story that studies in the Belmont family mythology. If only the platforming and puzzle solving were better, this could be the perfect successor to Symphony of the Night; but unfortunately it is not but it's a great 3DS game and a thrilling interlude while we wait for Lords of Shadows 2.

Cygames did a great job of turning a gacha game into an epic adventure full of action and magic. Granblue Fantasy Versus: Relink capitalizes on the charisma of its characters and their abilities. The best part is that we can unlock them without paying and harness their power in awesome boss battles. Although it is an action RPG, it takes advantage of other elements to make things more interesting. If it were more extensive, had a more solid multiplayer system and more exploration elements, it would be perfect.

As Dusk Falls is an emotional story with broken characters whose lives take a turn in the wrong direction simply because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Something that, unfortunately, can happen to anyone. This narrative introduces us to a cast of morally gray characters who must make difficult decisions with repercussions that mark their lives and the lives of others. It thus explores how people process, cope with, or try to escape from trauma. As it is practically an interactive movie, it may bore those who are looking for action. On the other hand, those who enjoy this type of experience will find it a worthwhile adventure.

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree delivers, delivering an experience of over 40 hours and enough elements to make most of it fun and rewarding. It's no match for the greats of the genre, that's a given, but it's a few notches below, and that, these days, is saying something. The gloomy and nostalgic feel of its dark fantasy reveals a game with its own essence and identity, even when it resorts to tried-and-tested formulas and established elements.

Octopath Traveler 0 is a surprisingly solid adaptation of Champions of the Continent, preserving the franchise’s visual charm, memorable music, and strategic combat system. Its more open structure and narrative focus on Orsterra bring a refreshing scope to the adventure. While the lack of Spanish localization and some stiff voice performances hold it back, it remains a deep and enjoyable JRPG experience for fans of the series.
