Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is the Budokai Tenkaichi 4 we've dreamed of for over 10 years. With revamped controls, stunning graphics and a combat system that's both accessible and fun, it revitalizes the classic formula and brings it to modern times with new mechanics and game modes. Despite some minor issues, it’s a love letter to Akira Toriyama's work and the legacy of one of the most important animes in history.

Every Harry Potter fan has wished to feel the air on his face while flying on a broom at full speed in search of the golden Snitch. Harry Potter Quidditch Champions succeeds in fulfilling that dream halfway, because it conveys the excitement of the matches but turns off after a few hours. The lack of content and game modes make the experience become repetitive, plus the campaign is short and the rewards are not worth it. If you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber give it a try and judge for yourself.

EA Sports FC 25 marks a turning point for the better in the renewed football franchise. Of course, it carries some vices from the past, but it is far from those disastrous moments or those that showed a lack of interest among followers of this type of games. We can say that the foundation is being built for a total football experience that satisfies casual and demanding players and that is saying a lot, as it breaks with the mediocre period of recent years. We are sure that this year's installment will have more fun for you and that you will scream with emotion for each goal as if it were real, so, believe it or not, there are more good ones than bad ones this year. Happy start to the football season.

Echoes of Wisdom is a solid game with fantastic ideas that will force you to reprogram that Legend of Zelda brain you've been shaping over years and years of practice. Grezzo has created an experience worth trying and a journey no fan of the franchise will regret starting. That being said, we can't ignore the fact that there are several elements in the game's design that fall short because they don't reach the level of maturity we see in era-defining games.

In terms of gameplay, new systems and experience customization, this year's installment is on another level and can easily look over its shoulder at other IPs. NBA 2K25 still offers a lot for the traditional gamer and the enthusiast. Madden NFL 25 is far from the feat, but there is finally an improvement in one important area: gameplay and physics. If this is the way, in the coming years we could see the best version of the franchise in the next years. Of course, the presence of more content is desired, especially in terms of game modes and notable changes in modes such as Franchise and Superstar, but that would be naive knowing the slump from which the IP is emerging. In the end, and just condemning the constant and annoying Ultimate Team ads, we have a good football game for this year's season and that, in this case, is very good news.

Visions of Mana has a great gift: it's a game that understood perfectly what it was meant to be: an adventure faithful to the franchise. So the developers went to the roots of Seiken Densetsu to understand exactly what it was that made it such a beloved series in the Super Famicom years. Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance arrives to become the definitive edition of Shin Megami Tensei V. Some of its changes may not be enough to fix the major problems of the original, but it does an incredible job of elevating it and bringing it that much closer to reaching its potential. ATLUS did it again and delivered a re-release that's worth checking out regardless of whether you finished the original game or if it's your first time playing it. Mind you: if you're an old-time Shin Megami Tensei fan, don't expect Vengance to be some sort of director's cut or a chance for the development team to deliver their original vision of the game. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a game that comes more as a luxury than a necessity. Just when it seemed that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and SEGA had completely handed the baton to Ichiban Kasuga, they spoiled us with an installment that pays tribute to everything that made the series great and treats Kazuma Kiryu and the legacy he has within his universe as well as in the real world with immense respect. Yes, we will see Kiryu again in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, but he may never star in another installment. If so, it would be a phenomenal farewell to the Dragon of Dojima. Thanks for everything, Kiryu.

We have spent more than a decade without a classic-style Mario Bros. that truly made us feel magic, that reminded us why the plumber is the king of platformers. Fortunately, the wait for these sensations is over and Super Mario Wonder arrives as one of the best games of the year and as one of the most magical installments of the entire franchise.

Lords of the Fallen is an intriguing soulslike proposition that draws inspiration from well-known franchises in the genre. It offers 2 interesting worlds to explore simultaneously, characters with different styles to choose from, a cooperative mode that enriches the adventure, and a vast catalog of weapons. However, the game still has some technical flaws, and that could be the trigger to abandon it at any time.

The 7th Guest VR pays a fair and fitting tribute to a classic from a bygone era in the history of video games. The most delightful aspect of the package is the story, which has remained largely intact, with standout performances from its charismatic cast and well-chosen costumes. While it may not be a groundbreaking title in the realm of virtual reality design, it is an intellectual journey that challenges with satisfying logic puzzles.

This review and its respective rating have nothing to do with the video games found in this collection. Those already have their place in history and some are enshrined among the best video games ever created. From this perspective, Konami didn't deliver garbage, but it also didn't exploit the potential and opportunity there was to deliver a high-quality homage to its once-star franchise. However, the essence of Metal Gear remains intact and its high points are good enough to consider it in your library, maybe not today, but at some point.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is an entertaining game, but it has a long way to go before it can compete against the big names of the genre. It is evident that Milestone thought of it as a casual arcade racing game that you can enjoy in challenges with your friends to spend a time full of laughter and chaotic fun. Unfortunately, this good foundation suffers from a completely soulless and generic track design that you'll quickly forget.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle seems to be at the level of the first installment, although at times it suggests that it is falling behind. Unlike Daymare 1998, we are faced with a proposal that got caught up in its attempt to pay homage and its desire to do something original. Despite this, it can be a passable old-school horror game experience.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 excels in delivering a spectacular combat system and seamlessly fluid traversal mechanics. The game truly shines when it lets you swing through Manhattan's cityscape at breakneck speeds, a thrilling highlight of the experience. Yet, where Insomniac Games stumbles is in the narrative and certain design choices. The inclusion of stealth sections and an overreliance on cinematic Quick Time Events detracts from player agency. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 doesn't reinvent the wheel but also doesn't significantly improve its rotation.

How can we make something that's already pretty perfect even better? Thankfully, we don't have to look very far, because Separate Ways is the perfect ending to Resident Evil 4 Remake. The cool thing about Separate Ways is that it doesn't waste its time on drawn-out scenes that get old, or on gameplay mechanics that become boring in the long run. Instead, it focuses on giving you a different style and pace of play that's not totally different from Leon S. Kennedy's, so you really feel like you're playing as Ada Wong.

Despite the dedication to telling the story, the game is mediocre and fails to encompass everything seen in the anime remake. In short, it joins the list of anime-based games that fail to live up to their expectations and squander their potential.

Assassin's Creed Mirage is an entertaining product, but also one that makes me wonder about everything that could have been. I'd be lying if I said I had a bad time running around Baghdad, doing parkour and turning into a shadow to take out my enemies. It was quite the opposite, there were even several moments where I felt like I was in front of my old TV with an Xbox 360 controller in hand and ignoring the history homework to better immerse myself in virtual Jerusalem. Sadly those feelings remain just that -feelings- and Mirage is unable to transcend and recapture all the magic that made Assassin's Creed one of the biggest franchises in the medium.

The reboot cranks up the intensity and throws caution to the wind by tossing in the Kameo Fighter as a spicy new ingredient in the classic mix. The freedom you get when pulling off aerial combos?
