Zipper aims high but fails to make the title stand out. Socom just isn't what it used to be on the PS2.- Level7.nu

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China makes an attempt to renew the franchise, unfortunately it fails. Neither the stealth- or action sequences are particularly well-made and neither is the level design. To appreciate this you need to be a huge fan of the series.- Level7.nu

Wreck castles using your body as the controller. The physics are limited though and (as so often with Kinect) the controls doesn't work very well either.- Level7.nu

Had it been released about a decade ago, Cursed Mountain might have conjured up more than a slight shrug. The few occasions where the atmosphere actually started to draw us in were promptly ruined by god awful Wii controls and terribly realized enemies. Add to this horribly poor pacing and what you end up with is a decent at best horror game that's hard to recommend to anyone.- Level7.nu

Sniper Elite 3 is a fun but somewhat flawed game. Thanks to open levels it’s possible to decide your own path to the target, and whether you want to get there by shooting every enemy or just sneak past them. An entertaining experience that’s better than it should be.- Level7.nu

For everything that Red River succeeds in, it completely fails at something else. This stupid AI and this many bugs are just not ok.- Level7.nu

The return of the master thief Garrett is a mixed bag. Thief builds on its series proud heritage of tactile stealth, focusing on realism but loses some of the way to modern design trends. Thief has some unnecessary padding that smooth out the gameplay as well as some cinematic ambitions that do not reach all the way. Above all, it is plagued by qualitative valleys that appear to be a result of a stressed launch. Nevertheless, Thief gets a weak recommendation because the basic formula is still fun and somewhat unique.- Level7.nu

This Xbox Live title changes the classic Castlevania formula with regards to gameplay as well as overall difficulty and level design. When experienced in co-op there is definitively fun to be had here, but solo adventurers looking for a great Castlevania experience will do best to look elsewhere.- Level7.nu

The first downloadable content (DLC) for Assassin's Creed 2 was anything but spectacular. Luckily round two fares a whole lot better. Bonfire of the Vanities shifts from the combat oriented nature of the first DLC towards more focus on stealth and assassinations. Successfully assassinating your targets using stealth techniques is rewarding and makes the content, although short, very enjoyable.- Level7.nu

Counterspy is a fun and challenging adventure during the short time it lasts. The game looks stunning and does a good job conveying the 60's vibe thanks to an amazing soundtrack. Unfortunately, Counterspy is far too short and the level design comes with almost no variation whatsoever. At the end of the day it remains a solid game with a few hours of great entertainment.- Level7.nu

This title, as the name implies, offers you the chance to take the reins of a trading empire during the 17th century trading wars. You'll get to use diplomacy, trade and warfare as your tools in your quest for trade monopoly. The campaign mode is very meaty and will let you trade, wage war and use your strategic wit for hours on end. The only major drawbacks is the lack of land based warfare in the campaign mode and being limited to naval warfare only online. Nevertheless, this is a great game for trade junkies everywhere.- Level7.nu

Thunder Wolves is a fresh breath of air in a rather boring genre. With it’s nostalgic flirtation the game doesn’t make a big deal of being over the top, silly or corny. And even though the length is rather short Thunder Wolves delivers an experience of pure joy in a way more action games should dare to do.- Level7.nu

The massive world and tons of secrets to be found in it are two of the few strengths in what is otherwise a really bad racing game. Poor AI, horrid driving mechanics, shoddy physics and tacky design. Put simply, avoid at all costs.- Level7.nu

Solving crossword puzzles work just as fine on the DS as it does on the kitchen table. It's a shame that the developers haven't utilized the digital platform the game is on though, just throwing crossword after crossword at the player with no variation or extra material is potential lost. It works, but it doesn't bring anything new to the table.- Level7.nu

Among the Sleep sets up a very interesting premise; the player controls a two year old toddler stuck in a nightmarish world. An interesting idea that start off great, but since the game isn’t very scary nor challenging it gets a bit dull after a while. It might still worth a playthrough, especially if you want horror without gore or violence.- Level7.nu

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is without a doubt a really good idea that should be implemented onto future games. As a separate game it’s rather shallow and linear to the point of fatigue.- Level7.nu

If you can look beyond the fact that this game suffers from meager content, horrible controls and total lack of any challenge, this could actually offer your family a couple of hours of entertainment. But the fun doesn't last long and because of this we can't recommend anyone to pay full price for this experience.- Level7.nu

WRC is a mediocre game which combines good driving in the more realistic direction with terrible presentation and a basic but well-functioning online mode. Despite some good points, it is a half-hearted production that falls short of competing with far better titles that are available for half the price tag.- Level7.nu

Just like its predecessor, MotoGP 15 is a racing simulator that is both fun and demanding. The game is primarily aimed at fans of the sport, but thanks to plenty of adjustment options even beginners can appreciate the racing. Unfortunately, the exact same things can be said about last year's edition and it is hard to find any noteworthy additions in this year’s version.- Level7.nu

A shooting game for the Wii aimed at a younger audience and based on the joy of toy guns does sound like a match made in heaven. Unfortunately this is a prime example of an interesting concept hampered by poor execution. Initially you've got access to a number of mini games, some good, some bad. When you master these you unlock harder versions of these mini games. The gun that ships with the game works well, but the overall experience is too bland an uninspiring to be recommended to anyone.- Level7.nu

The latest entry in the Crystal Chronicles franchise does away with a lot of the role playing elements of previous entries in favor of a more action oriented style of exploration where interaction with the environments and combat is handled by motion based Wii controls. Adventuring is entertaining enough but far too many issues with the motion based controls hampers an otherwise decent action adventure game.- Level7.nu

Ride is a racing game filled with passion. There is plenty of well-made bikes to try out and they are a joy to take around the track. Unfortunately the opponents behave like mindless robots, and the terrible loading times wrecks the immersion. Though it does not prevent Ride from being one of the best motorcycle games in recent years, even though there are plenty of room for improvements.- Level7.nu

The classic board game is converted to a digital format, literally. Even though there are three modes in total, of which one is faithful to the board game original and another offering online play, the concept hasn't been adapted enough to the console format. What we're offered here is an expensive and somewhat cumbersome digital version of the board game original.- Level7.nu

2K Sports and Visual Concepts seem to be stuck in the last generation of hockey games and the game doesn’t stand a chance against EA Sports NHL10. It seems that Visual Concept know that they can’t compete with EA Sports and developing something halfheartedly instead of building something new and exciting from the ground.- Level7.nu

Mario Party 10 is a fun but very safe installment in the long running Mario Party series. Most of the minigames will entertain, but it is a missed opportunity and plain lazy to not use the Wii U gamepad in a more meaningful way.- Level7.nu

Despite being quite shallow, internally as well as on the surface, this downloadable title still has some depth to it. Sure, there are few rules, modes and teams offered here, but the most important ingredient is in place. If you're in the mood for a fast paced arcade hockey experience there is tons of fun to be had here. It's not a game you'll be setting up tournaments in, but if you like some easy going hockey fun there are fun games to rival this one.- Level7.nu

A strange brew of the Disney universe mixed with Final Fantasy characters in a platform adventure with a lot of fighting and some RPG elements. Unfortunately, it is unnecessarily complicated and wants to be smarter than it really is. The game gets better after a couple of hours, but it's basically only a must buy for the series' biggest fans.- Level7.nu
