Little Big Planet could very well be a modern classic. Relying heavily on user content this game will only grow in splendor with time. The game does hold it's own though with great levels, beautiful graphics and fantastic four player co-op. A somewhat unrealised potential with regards to the controls and movement of charaters is the only thing standing in the way of a perfect score.

A thoroughly enjoyable combination of rpg elements, social interactions and appealing presentation makes this a great adventure for all to experience. The fact that your actions always affects the rest of your experience does add a lot to the experience. There are a lot of bugs that mar the experience and the variety of enemies isn't exactly top notch, but Fable II will offer you a great adventure you don't want to miss out on.

Bioshock for the PS3 is, like it was on Xbox 360, one heck of an fps-adventure. It's also still a tad bit linear and monotonous at times. But despite these minor flaws this is still a game where design and atmosphere sets the mark for other developers to aim for. Everything from your moral choices to the interconnected mythology of Rapture is intriguing and a must have for those who haven't experienced the Xbox 360 counterpart yet since this version is just as good in every way.

With Web of Shadows developer Treyarch builds on top of the foundation they laid with Spiderman 3. As Spiderman the player is put in charge of saving the city from a state of decay. The substance that spawned Spideys arch nemesis Venom has run amok in the city with total chaos as a direct result. The premise of the game is interesting but a horrible game camera and an overall lackluster framing makes the experience passable at best.

Far Cry 2 manages to lend the open world of typical RPG:s and mend it into a first person shooter. The trouble is that the game's world isn't properly adapted to the openness of the gameplay, leading to lots of tedious stretches of transportation. A somewhat silly AI and extremely tough enemies dampens what is otherwise a really competent shooter.

The first couple of hours in Eternal Sonata are simply enchanting. Great design, graphics and music together create a truly endearing atmosphere. Battling enemies in the game is great fun as you progress in the game and delve deeper into the battle mechanics. With Monopoly for the Xbox 360 you're actually getting a really fun and well thought through experience worthy of the table top version. This very fact makes the absence of an online mode incomprehensible since this is an experience not meant to have by yourself. Because of this omission the table top version still rules supreme.

Point and click-adventures aren't exactly released in abundant numbers these days, but Sam & Mac: Season One is one such release that manages to breathe life into the genre and add a healthy dose of humour into the mix at the same time. The sence of humour, the voice acting and and the script are all fantastic and the only annoying factor is that the puzzles can become a bit illogical at times. This might turn some people away from the experience, but have no doubt that this is a great and fun adventure.

Sony's online shooter SOCOM is back and helmed by a new developer. The main goal with Confrontation seems to have been to cater to the existing fan base, a goal they do meet in a sense. Think Grand Theft Auto 4, then replace all traces of realism with over the top exaggerated content and finally toss in a co-op mode online and you'll have an idea of what you can expect in Saint's Row 2. It's a great sandbox experience that puts emphasis on having fun while playing rather than looking slick. The big blockbuster feature of Fracture is the ability to alter the terrain, creating new ways to traverse levels and approach combat. At least that's what Lucasarts aimed for, but the truth is that the result is merely the same old formula we're used to coupled with a new tool that doesn't really change things for the better. When it was announced that a western developer was to take over the reins from Team Silent there were many raised voices of concern about what would become of the series. Silent Hill Homecoming is actually a classic Silent Hill experience, a bit too classic to be honest, with the game's formula sticking very close to the old Silent Hill games. The graphical upgrade works great, lending design inspiration from the movie, and the music and sound is phenomenal. The plot is also told very well. The modernized combat system unfortunately eliminates the sense of respect and fear for the enemies, the main gripe we have with this otherwise great survival horror experience.

As the supposed last entry in the Metal Gear-franchise, this is one major release. Most of the flaws found in previous entries have been removed and the variety in gameplay and weapons is simply immense. The story is told in great part by cinematic video sequences and ingame narrative sequences, and while these are fantastic in many ways they can also become a bit tedious. These flaws are minor though, Metal Gear Solid 4 is a fantastic title in every way and a worthy finale to the franchise.

This game does a lot of things well and a few things wrong, but there's just something about this title that doesn't feel right. The presentation is great and the pace is fast, but the fights themselves just aren't interesting enough. It's not a bad game in any way and for short periods of time it can be quite entertaining. But with a lack of depth those periods of time grow few and far between fast.

Causing mayhem in the city of New York is the only thing that's mildly entertaining in this game, with other content such as mini games and missions being utterly mediocre. Problems with framerates, graphical glitches and a far to short draw distance only cements the impression of this game being a perfect example of how quality and built-to-order games don't go hand in hand.

Although this title is playable it won't leave a lasting impression. The plot is incomprehensible and the presentation looks dated. The experience being a short one is actually a good thing in this title which you'd do well to avoid.

License-based games seldom turn out especially interesting or good so our hopes for this title weren’t stellar, but The Bourne Conspiracy surprises us with a healthy dose of action and great tempo. There are some flaws to be found and there isn’t much to do once the story is finished, but his is a great action title nonetheless.

Ninja Gaiden is back, bloodier and more brutal than ever before. With flawless controls and a superb fighting system this is truly a fantastic action game, just like its predecessors. Unfortunately some awkward camera angles punishes the player far too often and the overall design fails to impress. The lack of innovation and some annoying flaws makes this title a lesser game than its predecessors.

The driving mechanics in Race Driver: Grid might not suit everyone, but they’re really solid none the less. If you want over the top driving with exaggerated acceleration, braking efficiency and grip, this is the game for you. The ability of turn back time to repair your mistakes is a great new feature. We haven’t had this much fun with a driving game since Flatout Ultimate Carnage.

All major box office movies must be accompanied with a movie tie-in game, and usually that leads to a less than poor gaming experience. Kung Fu Panda actually manages to steer clear of that trend by offering a great and fun action experience. For the seasoned gamer this is on the easy side, but for the intended age group this is a great offering.

The "Lego Star Wars"-games were fun and entertaining with great co-op features. Unfortunately Lego Indiana Jones isn't as great, simply because fighting Germans isn’t as fun as battling Darth Vader, puzzle solving isn’t as fun this time around and the video sequences aren’t as funny. Despite being a lesser game, this is still a great gaming experience.

Although it’s a bit lacking in variation, it’s a great game for the target audience. If overly cute games is your thing Toki Tori will be right up your alley.

Mass Effect for the PC is basically the same game as it was on Xbox 360. The dialogue system is still as innovative and the combat is still as intense and intuitive. There are some minor flaws such as occasional framerate issues and annoying loading sequences, but this is still as much of a fantastic game as it’s console counterpart.

This is yet another modern adventure game that's competent without offering anything out of the ordinary. The environments provide a great framing for the experience and the vampire hunter Van Helsing isn't difficult to like. There is a great wealth of challenging puzzles, as there should be. If you're a fan of vampires and the puzzle solving adventure genre you should definitely take a closer look.

This is an odd combination of point and click gameplay with RPG-style battles. Even though the story and the dialogue is fun and true to the series, the developers have gone overboard with the amount of reading that has to be done to progress in the game, which ultimately makes the overall experience a bit tedious.

Haze is neither a bad game nor broken or unplayable. On the contrary, there are a lot of competent features to be found in this game. The problem with Haze is that it never stands out, it never delivers anything out of the ordinary. Four player co-op and some decent multiplayer-modes saves Haze from being a mediocre game.

Gameplay on the field has been tweaked to an overall better flow and the Captian your country mode is really fun. Charging full price for a game that loses its relevance after the championships is the only major flaw in this otherwise great soccer experience.

Solving crossword puzzles work just as fine on the DS as it does on the kitchen table. It's a shame that the developers haven't utilized the digital platform the game is on though, just throwing crossword after crossword at the player with no variation or extra material is potential lost. It works, but it doesn't bring anything new to the table.
