As a party-game, Chimparty plays its role but doesn’t do much more. The mini-games are entertaining but there are not enough of them. Thus, Chimparty turns to be a bit boring and repetitive.

Urban Trial Playground may be not as deep or demanding as its model, but it offers enough challenges to have a good time playing it, as long as you can pass on its poor visuals and level-design.

Despite being just another walking simulator with a touch of digging around, The Station provides an interesting story featuring solid voice actors, and a great finale.

Borderlands 2 VR is what we loved in the original game plus the VR gameplay with the hands recognition. It is one of the longer games playable in VR and the only major default is that you cannot play it in coop.

How willing are you to forgive a title's flaws to enjoy its fights? This is the question to ask yourself if you are interested in Ultra Age. On the one hand, the title suffers from dated visuals and a jagged rhythm. On the other hand, his clashes benefit from animations and dynamic effects. By this ambivalence, the title remains to be reserved for fans of beat 'em up able to disregard many aspects to appreciate a rather nice gameplay.

Even if there’s some good moments in this DLC, such as the long-awaited good use of the spider-bot, Turf Wars struggles to develop its scenario. It doesn’t give any answer and worse, it adds new questions. Frustrating.

After Banana Blitz HD deemed too simple by the majority of players, the Super Monkey Ball saga decides to go back to its beginnings to offer early fans what they expect: a level of difficulty. Unfortunately, even if the challenge is indeed present, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania disappoints. The 4K / 60fps combo available on next-gen is not enough to hide the many flaws of this remaster, starting with the camera which lacks flexibility and the general level-design which plays too much with chance. However, if you hang on to the formula, note that you get what you pay for. The content is more than generous, the replayability is strong and the store is a pleasant surprise that adds extra interest.

A suprising, yet not balanced, melting pot of genre and inspirations that makes Eastshade a unique game, with a truly rich graphics atmosphere and a deep narration.

Both true to its original foundation and distant in its changes, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is arguably not the remake fans of the character could hope for. Some will think the progression is out of date, and they won't be wrong, but the biggest problem is imprecise controls and collisions with enemies. With its very colorful production and quality musical themes, the experience remains correct, but less striking than expected.

Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son is a singular gaming experience, with time loops the player must replay again and again to change the course of events. It’s an interesting game but it lacks rhythm and interactions.

Playing Control with a Switch in your hands is in itself a demonstration that the console can add Cloud Gaming to its range of functions to catch up with the competition. Still, this Ultimate edition is lazy when it comes to correcting known problems from previous versions, but also when it comes to adapting the controls on a machine like Nintendo's laptop. Between that and the server problems we encountered, it makes you wonder if the first launch of such a service in Europe might not have deserved a little more care.

As an artistic remake, the game is very successful: shiny and colorful, the Toki’s universe is well rendered especially concerning musics. Sadly, the content of this arcade game still as little as at the original release, meaning that you’ll see everything within an hour.

After a few hours of playing, you quickly realize that Tribes of Midgard is trying too many genres at the same time and doesn't follow through on its ideas. This RPG-inspired survival Rogue-Lite offers some great things, but too many game systems lack depth to engage players. The excessive simplicity of the combat mixed with a loot and a minimalist crafting hard to forget the redundant and unbalanced structure of the experience. There remains a sympathetic and pleasant universe to explore. Too bad it is impossible to do it at your own pace, because it is mandatory to join the camp after dark.

Even if it has a nice feeling, Space Junkies never takes off because you’re facing PC players using mouse and keyboards, with a controller. But the most hardcore FPS fans might take some pleasure while playing it.

By focusing on both action role-playing, massively multiplayer online role-playing and combat sequences, the title proves to be too generic and gets lost along the way. Technically dated and visually unremarkable, despite an original “brushstroke” effect, Babylon’s Fall is aimed at a niche that will appreciate its particularities. Fans of challenge and online experiences could find their way there, but most players are likely to find the difficulty poorly regulated and the endless battles.

Regardless of the outcome, Yang Bing and the teams at UltiZero Games can be proud of the work accomplished, as the design of Lost Soul Aside was so grueling. Unfortunately, the result is insufficient to establish itself in the action game genre. Certainly, the title relies on calibrated and nervous gameplay, and this is where the soul of the project shines the most. Aside from certain artistic aspects (settings, designs, music), Lost Soul Aside struggles to be catchy: the story is too flat, the universe is generic, the characters are forgettable, the structure is redundant, the mechanics are hackneyed or underexploited. It's not a disaster either, but the final copy is barely adequate, to our great regret.
